Oh you don't remember that? Seems like your prior statement (which has now been deleted) about not using multiple usernames was a lie.

Or should we call you mjrhealth?

http://www.christian...h__1#entry84464
Your writing style under mjrhealth is the exact same as yours under Thankful1. And you even use the same exact phrases.

"I never called Jesus, He came to me, I heard a voice, i beleived, then many years later He chose to show Himself to Me"
"Then one day a voice spoke and I believed"
"I hear His voice and He knows me"
"See i dont need the bible, the dead letter,"
"For is it not wriiten in your precious book" My sheep Hear My voice and will follow no other""

I reported your accusations as an attempt to derail this thread. I guess management does not care to be involved with this discussion. You see management would know if I lied or not.
The management of another forum said you did. You're lying again.

I thought you were a Christian and Christians don't sin?

Lying is a sin, Thankful.

So either you're not a Christian or your preaching a false gospel.

In the former you have a chance to repent. In the latter Paul says you'll be cursed.

Actually Christians do sin, we do it all the time without knowing it. I'm a Christian and I sin but when I realise it I am sorry and as kfor forgiveness. An athiest might feel bad for something they'd sone but they wouldn't believe it was to the detriment of their soul. Also jsut because someone sins it doesn't mean theya re no longer a christian so Christians do sin.

I would replace that staement with
A Christian can sin but will repent of it and not revel in it

Or

It is a Christian's duty to avoid the snare of the devil that would lead him/her into sin

Templar,

I appreciate your post :)

Do you really believe you have a right to accuse me of lying and have no proof? You call your self a Christian? How dare you? You are wrong.
I do not use two different user names on this forum. Also I have never used any of the names you are accusing me of using.

Oh on THIS forum, so you don't deny using multiples everywhere else? But I thought you said: "I could never post under two user names."

Thankful1, I owe you an apology for thinking that you have another username, mjrhealth. It was wrong for me to make assumptions like this without proof. And for saying that you said that the bible was the dead letter which was a statement made by mjrhealth . I apologize and hope you can forgive me for any hurt that I may have caused you regarding this wrong assumption.

Why are so many here so quick to go into the attack mode? Thankful1's name is not Jesus, but the one we know whose name was Jesus in the written text was under attack on a regular basis because He only told the truth.

Thankful simply says that he hears directly from Jesus. What is so very wrong about that. Don't we all who are believers say essentially the same thing?

Our problem is that we really do not always recognise His voice. If we did, then we would not be divided between Catholic and Protestant, Pentecostal and Methodist, tongue talker and silent prayer types. All of us are believers, but believers only in a measure. I say only in a measure, because each of us is admittedly in error. This means that we still sin in spite of the promises, which tell us that we shall have "power" when the Holy Ghost is come.

Where is that Holy Ghost power when we are committing sins? Thankful has consistently used Bible verses to support his position that it is possible to become sinless. How can we who admittedly are in error, at least in part, clearly point out errors in Thankful?

The verses that he uses exist, yet we push ahead as we understood some other meaning for them, as if we were already overcomers. No wonder "Jesus wept"!

"When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matt 19:25-26

With God all things are possible! That which is not possible for God is to go against that which He has already spoken! This is why men can and do "limit" God. If we believe that we cannot be overcomers in this flesh, then our negative belief, our negative faith, limits God!

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" Col 1:27

If Christ is in us, why would we be unable to do what He did? He overcame the temptations of His flesh, but if He in us cannot do the same then who is to blame? Is it not us who are quenching the Spirit of God by denying His promises... saying "no man can live in this flesh without sinning"

Help us O Lord!

I believe you have not seen all of his postings because Thankful does not believe it's just *possible* to become sinless he believes it's *mandatory*.

(Hebrews 10:26-31) “If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them. There is left only the dreadful prospect of judgment and of the fiery wrath that is to devour your enemies. Anyone who disregards the Law of Moses is ruthlessly put to death on the word of two witnesses or three; and you may be sure that anyone who tramples on the Son of God, and who treats the blood of the covenant which sanctified him as if it were not holy, and who insults the Spirit of grace, will be condemned to a far severer punishment. We are all aware who it was that said: Vengeance is mine; I will vindicate his people. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

Is it not mandatory to become like Jesus at some point? Many say that will not happen until after our natural death when the dirt is already thrown onto our faces. What if that is wrong? Isn't it possible, that after the dirt is thrown on our faces it will be too late. Is there any more repentance available then?

Undoubtedly, we must be growing toward God as we are walking today. Is it not a setback in that walk each time we sin? The Spirit of God in us if it is in us cannot sin. There is, however, something in us that can sin. Is this something stronger than the Spirit of God?

Why was it that King David cried out here in this manner?

"Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me." Psalm 51:11

Was it not that he did not want to happen to him that which happened to King Saul? God is a forgiving merciful God, but He is also a God who never changes. He was merciful to the natural children of Israel many times as they moved through the wilderness. Nevertheless, after the 10th rebellion, did not God finally say that it was enough, that none of the adults who had followed Moses out of Egypt would be allowed to enter the promised land, but two?

How many times will God continue to be merciful to us today?

According to Thankful it must be an immediate transformation into a sinless being or you are not saved.

I wholly agree with everything you've stated regarding striving toward Christ-likeness. I feel that you have not been subjected to all of Thankful's beliefs yet and don't realize to the extent of what he claims.

I believe that I have heard his beliefs. I was on T2O when he joined there and also when he was banned. I disagreed with the decision to ban him even though I also had some doubts about some of the things that he said. I still do, but I know that I have changed my own beliefs about God and about scripture over the years. Given this, I know that I may be wrong on some other things that I currently believe to be true. As to him already being sinless now, who am I to judge? I know that I am not sinless, but I am equally certain that I have grown closer to the Lord. I won't go into where I am now, but I do believe that sinlessness is possible prior to natural death. I cannot definitely say that I have met such a sinless person besides the Lord, but neither would I say that I definitely have not...

As to an immediate transformation, I believe that that may happen to some people, but I do not believe it is mandatory. Peter and the other 11 were with Jesus for 3½ years and were not transformed during that period. One of them even failed to endure even on the surface to the time of the crucifixion. Peter definitely messed up more than once after his experience in the upper room.

There is a Spiritual walk that one needs to live, in order to be one with God. Being one with God means a person will not sin.

Scripture tells us that a person who knows God does not sin. If one sins he or she only knows of God, at best.

What I share is scriptural, and I understand because Jesus taught me.

I also know that you will not come to know what I know unless you let God guide and teach you.

Becoming one with God

(Acts 2:38-39) “You must repent, Peter answered and every one of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise that was made is for you and your children, and for all those who are far away, for all those whom the Lord our God is calling to himself.”

Receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are many, but just to name a few.

(1 Corinthians 12:27-30) “Now you together are Christ’s body; but each of you is a different part of it. In the Church, God has given the first place to apostles, the second to prophets, the third to teachers; after them, miracles, and after them the gift of healing; helpers, good leaders, those with many languages. Are all of them apostles, or all of them prophets, or all of them teachers? Do all speak strange languages, and all interpret them?”

The Holy Spirit/Jesus will begin to teach and give one the grace to live the whole Word of God.

(1 John 2:27) “But you have not lost the anointing that he gave you, and you do not need anyone to teach you, the anointing he gave teaches you everything; you are anointed with truth, not a lie, and as it has taught you, so you must stay in him.”

Living the Word of God includes loving, even one’s enemies.

(Matthew 5:43-44) “You have learnt how it was said, you must love your neighbor and hate your enemy, but I say this to you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

(Matthew 5:39) “You have learnt how it was said: ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I say this to you: offer the wicked man no resistance.”

One can’t say he or she loves if they have money stored and they keep it stored even when they know there is some one in need of that money.

(1 John 3:16-18) “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”

Jesus told us the following

(Matthew 6:19) “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.”

(Matthew 6:24)"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”

(Luke 12:33) “Sell your possessions and give alms. Get yourselves purses that do not wear out, treasure that will not fail you, in Heaven where no thief can reach it and no moth destroy it. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

(Luke 14:33) “So in the same way, none of you can be my disciple unless he gives up all his possessions.”

A Spiritual Christian is a temple of God where no sin exists.

(Romans 6:2-4) “How can we who died to sin yet live in it?

Or are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life.”

(1 John 5:18) “ We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him”

(1 John 3:8) “He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work”

When one learns to obey and live the Word of God, he or she will become the home of God.

(John 14: 23) “Anyone who loves me will keep my word and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him.”

(1 Corinthians 2:13-14) “Therefore we teach, not in the way in which philosophy is taught, but in the way that the Spirit teaches us: we teach spiritual things spiritually. An unspiritual person is one who does not accept anything of the Spirit of God he sees it all as nonsense; it is beyond his understanding because it can only be understood by means of the Spirit.”

To maintain life in one he or she needs spiritual food.

(John 6:53-55) “How can this man give us his flesh to eat? They said. Jesus replied: ‘I tell you most solemnly, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in you. Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise him up on the last day.”

By the way people I have walked the walk. Jesus called me and I lived his Word as he directed me to live it for thirty some years. It was not a walk I would ever have done on my own. I learned what it is to become one with God.

If one truly gives his or her life to God they will find that it is a ride that is beyond anything he or she thought they could live.

I did not choose to do what I am doing. I did not choose to live the life I lived, Jesus chose for me. I do as he tells me to do.

Luke 18: [sup]9[/sup]He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: [sup]10[/sup]"Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. [sup]11[/sup]The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. [sup]12[/sup] I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.' [sup]13[/sup]But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!' [sup]14[/sup]I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted."

Yes I recognize the slam, and it is what many do when they can’t accept the message. The act has a name.

Ad hominem
When people can’t accept the message, and the truth upset them, they attack the messenger.

Appealing to feelings or prejudices rather than intellect.

Marked by or being an attack on an opponent’s character rather than by an answer to the contentions made.

It's not a slam but what Jesus said that I know I need to apply to myself first and foremost but I believe it's something we all need to take to heart, including you.

The message that you have spoken of is that you interpret these scriptures literally. That you believe these scriptures are saying that Jesus will appear to us in visions and speak audibly to us and teach us that way. And that we will actually hear the voice of Jesus audibly call us by name.
Is that really what these scriptures mean?

(John 10:1-5)"I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."

There is a Spiritual walk that one needs to live, in order to be one with God. Being one with God means a person will not sin.

Yes, any one that sins at all is not completely one with God as Jesus is one with Him. Jesus prayed for us in John 17 asking that we be made one with Him and His Father.

Thankful1: Scripture tells us that a person who knows God does not sin. If one sins he or she only knows of God, at best.

Yes, we are at best seeing through a "glass darkly" and "hearing His voice" also only in part. We must get closer than that, and we cannot do it alone.

Thankful1: What I share is scriptural, and I understand because Jesus taught me.

I agree with most of what you have said. But... consider this:

"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." Matt 16:17

And then this...

"But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." Matt 16:23

The first time Peter heard God clearly. The second time [in the same chapter], he was so far off as to receive a rebuke from Jesus.

Thankful1: I also know that you will not come to know what I know unless you let God guide and teach you.

Becoming one with God(Acts 2:38-39) “You must repent, Peter answered and every one of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Agreed!

Thankful1:

So then some of those who have been called by God have not yet been born completely of God. The Mother is still trying to complete the birthing process. Again, God is more than willing to provide the necessary help.

Thankful1: When one learns to obey and live the Word of God, he or she will become the home of God

(John 14: 23) "Anyone who loves me will keep my word and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him.”

Aye, this is the abode, which David sought for God:

"Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob." Psalm 132:3-5

And also told David where that habitation was to be:

"For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it." Psalm 132:13-14

Thankful1:
(1 Corinthians 2:13-14) “Therefore we teach, not in the way in which philosophy is taught, but in the way that the Spirit teaches us: we teach spiritual things spiritually. An unspiritual person isone who does not accept anything of the Spirit of God he sees it all as nonsense; it is beyond his understanding because it can only be understood by means of the Spirit.”

So then since I do see some things of God, which are not nonsense to me, then I am seeing in part by means of the Spirit. This is what Paul means here:

"For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." I Cor 13:9-10

If "that which is perfect" has already come to you, Thankful1, then I am exceedingly glad for you.

Thankful1:

To maintain life in one he or she needs spiritual food.

(John 6:53-55) “How can this man give us his flesh to eat? They said. Jesus replied: ‘I tell you most solemnly, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in you. Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise him up on the last day.”

The flesh of Jesus is the Word, which is quickened [brought to Life in us] by His blood or the Spirit. We must eat and drink of Him regularly or any Life we have will be lost.

This is like the natural man who does not partake of the natural food and drink. The end of someone who not eat or drink then is death, physical death or spiritual death. Many are already spiritually dead, but anyone who is still eating and drinking of His flesh and His blood has some Life [spirituall] in them and therefore still has hope.

Thankful1:

By the way people I have walked the walk. Jesus called me and I lived his Word as he directed me to live it for thirty some years. It was not a walk I would ever have done on my own. I learned what it is to become one with God.

And this is the witness that people here would deny you. I have not seen your walk, but just because I have not seen it doesn't mean that I would deny it. That is not my job.

I have seen Jesus, although perhaps not yet as clearly as you. I have also heard Jesus, although again, perhaps not yet so clearly as you.

Thankful1:
If one truly gives his or her life to God they will find that it is a ride that is beyond anything he or she thought they could live.

Of this I have no doubt!

Thankful1:
I did not choose to do what I am doing. I did not choose to live the life I lived, Jesus chose for me. I do as he tells me to do.

No, our pathway to God cannot be what our flesh alone would have chosen.

Jesus does say:

"And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world,..." John 17:11

In that same chapter of John 17 Jesus is praying for all of us who are to be one with Him and His Father. When we are truly One, then we also will not be anymore "in the world".

To me this "in the world" does not mean "in sin", but it does means still subjected to the temptations of the world. Even now, many not "of the world", still being "in the world " the temptations continue. Jesus was no longer "in the world" even though the crucifixion was still ahead of Him, because He had overcome the last temptation when praying to His Father in Gethsemene. When He had spoken these words for the third time, He prayed no more for Himself, because He had overcome the world:

"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Matt 26:39

After that last prayer Jesus was no longer "in the world" and He was the first overcomer!

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Each person who is to be one with Jesus and the Father must also overcome the world as Jesus did by the Spirit of God!

"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might [of man], nor by power [of man], but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zech 4:6

Yes, any one that sins at all is not completely one with God as Jesus is one with Him. Jesus prayed for us in John 17 asking that we be made one with Him and His Father.

Yes, we are at best seeing through a "glass darkly" and "hearing His voice" also only in part. We must get closer than that, and we cannot do it alone.

Agreed!

So then some of those who have been called by God have not yet been born completely of God. The Mother is still trying to complete the birthing process. Again, God is more than willing to provide the necessary help.

Aye, this is the abode, which David sought for God:

"Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

Of this I have no doubt!

No, our pathway to God cannot be what our flesh alone would have chosen.

I am not sure what you are saying here. Peter was brought to believe by the Father, but Jesus taught him. He did not fully understand what Jesus had taught him, until after Jesus ascended into Heaven, and after Pentecost.

My job is to just give a word, a word that Jesus directs me to give. I try to explain the word I am giving, but that is not a gift Jesus has given me.

I truly believe each and every one needs to go to Jesus and have him explain to them what he wants him or her to know. Coming to know God is a walk, and not everyone is in the same place in the walk.

Yes I do hear Jesus clearly. Jesus makes sure of that. Jesus told me to pray to be open and sensitive to his touch and his word all day long.

Jesus told me to give him the first few moments of every situation. I ask him what to do in most every situation. An example, about three years ago I had all the symptoms of colon cancer. I was hurting so bad and filling the toilet up with blood every morning. We did not have money or insurance, so I put off going to the doctor for five months. I finally was hurting too bad, and needed to have some relief. I asked Jesus if I should go to the doctor. Jesus told me no. He did not tell me anything else. I expected that it meant I would be healed in a day or so. that did not happen. Everything went on as before. It went on for the next two weeks, and then it all went away. I no longer have that problem. The same thing happened recently with my eyesight, and that was harder to trust Jesus then losing my life.
