Umm,.. I can't think of anymore recently but I'm not gay,.. I just don't like the fact that many Christians think that homosexuality is an unforgiveable sin and that was just an example.
The bible stance is clear on homosexuality.

The right thing to do in this situation is to pray for them and support the person developing a relationship to Christ, but to not support the sin. Also, picture this because I was once in these shoes. As much as you love Jesus and want to be with Him you don't believe that you'll ever be good enough and do good enough to make that happen. Gay people go through this all the time for example and Jesus loves them just as much as He loves us. That must be horrible for them to feel like that Jesus will never love them no matter what they do because it's a lie and couldn't be further from the truth and they need to know the truth.
The bible stance is clear on homosexuality.
Yes and that it isn't an unforgivable sin. It's still a sin but it isn't an unforgiveable one and it's one that somebody could turn away from and turn to Jesus to. I know because I've known people who've done it before.
Yeah I took one of the worms and went fishing...hehehe... thanks for clarifying that
You mean what I said or the topic matter?
That's why if you're worried about having committed it then you haven't.
Can you show scripture to back that?
I'm not Jesus' spokesman, so I'll let him speak for himself.Yeah, I never said that it wasn't a sin. All I said was that it could be forgiven and Jesus loves everybody even gays. He doesn't love their sin and it doesn't make it okay, but He still loves them.

@April_Rose apparently God hated some people:
Romans 9:13-15
King James Version
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Sure, it wasn't directed at homosexuals but rather the blanket statement that God loves the sinner but hates the sin. So it seemed debatable at minimum. Perhaps a topic for another thread.Since I am eating supper right now and this is way too complicated for me to get into,.. I'm going to tag @Heart2Soul on this because I think that she has a really good explanation of it.
That wasn't meant to be a mean question btw I think it's a fair one.
Looky here April, we are not naming names...we are discussing sins in general. As is an appropriate discussion among Christians.
Any one that tells you that lifestyles sins are something that you can get forgiveness for and keep on sinning, is expecting to play Christ for a fool.
The founder of that belief is the father of lies. It is just the type of belief that Satan would support.
As Christians we can get forgiveness but the line of demarcation is lifestyles sins.
It does not matter if it is
Homosexuality
murderers
rapists
adulterers
child molesters
thieves
alcoholics
occultist
All can be forgiven...it is making them a lifestyle that can lead you to hell...this an a discussion of sin...the judgment is still up to Christ on Judgment Day...but He is no fool and He know the intent of the heart.

People with children have to answer for them to some degree tooWell if a person keeps right on sinning then they probably aren't really saved but again that's between them and the Lord and it isn't my business and I don't plan to make it be. I have to worry about April and what April does and doesn't do, nobody else because in the end that's the only person that I'm going to be answering for.
