Does He lessen or reduce those standards to meet our fallen nature?
Not at all. And that is why He sent His Son into the world to be the propitiation for our sins. But there is no redemption for Satan or any evil angels or demons. That too is a righteous decision on the part of God.

Does that bear any resemblance to the riots that permeated throughout the United States with people helping themselves to whatever they wanted on the pretext that the rich owed them justice? Isn't social justice the name of the game being played out by the democrats and their supporters? This has been Catholic social policy for nearly all it's existence... Notice no remonstrance from the church against those rioters.

By what authority did the pretend to reform the church founded by God, and doctrine revealed by God?

Only the apostles have authority from Christ and the so called reformers were not apostles or successors of the apostles
Who said so apart from yourself?

Which fully explains the story from Pelosi and Biden and the other Democrat Catholics in the caucus who not once ever criticized the rioters and their thieving. This is so called social justice.. Social action in practice.

Do you mean this
Matthew 6:14-15
What I mean is, a lot of noise and gesticulation is made about God frying the baddies forever be it men or the forces of evil.....something that makes no sense even to the restricted unfair human mind particularly while at the same time God's unfailing love is hitched to the same wagon.

Sooo, if we as humans dish out retribution to those who won't dance to our tune and we call that fairness, the God we're looking at is not the God of Calvary.....we have swallowed a counterfeit.....yet will not see it because, shall I say, a very clever counterfeit.
We say, 'the bible says'....but how do we see it/ hear it/ read it? Is it read to justify what we think is just....is it read without questioning the fact that frying beings for eternity is against any measure of decency?

What do you do with the scripture, Colossians 1:20 'reconciling all things to himself whether things on Earth or things in Heaven'

Had you included "the blood of His cross" it would have meant that God is reconciled to those upon whose souls that blood has been applied. Which means the children of God. Not the unsaved nor the unredeemable evil spirits. This takes us right back to the first Passover, where only the homes where the blood of the lamb had been applied were spared the grief of losing their firstborn children.

I am still not convinced as to who or what you are. Your church has not changed... The decrees of the councils and the encyclical letters of the various Popes going back to Trent all agree. The Catholic Church has always presented a gospel of social action. It is not the gospel of the Bible. The Catholic gospel bears no relation whatsoever to the salvation of souls through the blood of Christ. Your liturgy and Catechisms may mention it from time to time, but the goals and ambitions of Rome remain the same, are authored by the Jesuits, overseen by them, and put into action by them. The destruction of Protestantism and to replace the word of God in Protestant theology. Vatican 2 was the latest and seemed to present a change in Catholic thinking, but no, it was a growth that merely confirmed Trent, and put the decrees of Trent into action. So either you're not seeing it, or you know it intimately but don't want it revealed. Vatican2 was the beginning of the Catholic charismatic movement which brought worldly music into the church, made the church more appealing to the young, exported it to Protestantism, and the emotion, the feelings and sensory heightened experiences through rock music in the churches are but the modem evolution of Loyola's exercises. Jesuitism has now invaded the Protestant churches en masse, experience and emotion and the spirit has now replaced the word of God. Quintessential Loyola doctrine. In Catholic rituals of the mass, the liturgy was always supreme. It was the show. It was the liturgy, the music, the presentation that brought emotive responses to the congregation and was the centerpiece of the Catholic mass. In protestant churches the sermon, based on scripture, was the focal point. Now, we have Hillsong. Vatican 2 has been a success in bringing the philosophy of Trent into the modern protestant church. And Francis is now hard at work in bringing the world into a syncretistic social movement far far removed from NT theology and teaching and the simplicity of the gospel.
"My kingdom is not of this world". Your king is not Christ, but Caesar, pontifex maximus. The inheritor of the pagan crown.
Ancient faith of the apostles yes
The Protestant revolt has no biblical authority or from Christ
Christ and his church are one any attack on the church is an attack on Christ

true religion involves the care of the poor

dan 2:44 God established a kingdom that conquered the Roman pagan empire

Me I’m a basic Roman Catholic
Traditional in doctrine and liturgy
Tridentine mass and sacraments

you’re idea that Vatican 2 (invalid council) is the implementation of Trent is wild, it’s really the French Revolution in the church the great apostasy from catholic and divine faith the religious indifferentism of the Freemasons with liberty now religious liberty, fraternity now heretics schismatics and apostates are supposed to be our brothers and equality now the bishops are all equal no supreme Roman pontiff (teacher) Francis does not even want to be called pope

divine revelation catholic and divine faith in both scripture and tradition (teaching authority of the apostles) not customs and habits

Authority of the Apostles!

What authority does Christ have?
What power does Christ have?
What mission / ministry does Christ have?

Peter, the apostles and their successors have the same authority, power, and mission! Jn 20:21 as my father sent me, even so send I you!

The apostles are Christ’s successors!
They have authority to send others as well, apostle means one who is sent!

Therefore the apostles have authority to send more apostles or successors!
Apostolic succession!

The nations still need to be taught, disciples still need to be baptized and the church the new covenant kingdom of christ still needs to be governed!

Hebrews 3:1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Christ is an apostle, and has authority to send other apostles, the apostles also have this authority, so the apostles continue down thru the centuries as Christ promised! Matt 28:19-20

Keys of authority! And power to bind and loose! Matt 16:18 and Matt 18:18 matt 28:19

Moral authority:
(Teaching)
Necessity of being taught by Christ:
Two edge sword: defining truth and condemning errors, and Interpreting scripture.

Jurisdictional authority:
(Governing / administering)
Necessity of Peter and the apostles and their successors to govern the holy church.

Spiritual authority:
(Life of Grace)
Sanctifying thru the mass and Sacraments

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20

Lk 10:16
He who hears you hears me...

John 13:20
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Only the church has authority from Christ to define the truth and teach!
Matt 16:18 matt 18:18 matt 28:19 Jn 20:21-23 Jn 8:32 Jn 16:13

Who said so apart from yourself?
The Apostles.

In Acts 1, when they gathered to choose a replacement for Judas - Peter quotes Psalm 109, when he says:
Acts 1:20
"Let another take his office."

The Greek word used here for "office" is "Episkopay", which means BISHOPRIC.
This was NOT a temporary replacement - but a succession of Judas's Bishopric.

At the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15 - the Apostles wrote a letter to the Church at Antioch because of the false teachings of the Judaizers.
They stated in NO uncertain terms that ONLY those who were sent out be THEM had the Authority to teach:

Acts 15:14-16
Since we have heard that some of our number who went out without any mandate from us have upset you with their teachings and disturbed your peace of mind, we have with one accord decided to choose representatives and to send them to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, who have dedicated their lives to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And they close out the letter with:
Acts 15:28-29
IT IS THE DECISION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND OF US not to place on you any burden beyond these necessities, namely, to abstain from meat sacrificed to idols, from blood, from meats of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage. If you keep free of these, you will be doing what is right. Farewell.’”

ALL of this harkens back to the God-given Authority the Church was endowed with - that WHATEVER the Church binds and looses on earth is also bound and loosed in Heaven (Matt. 16:18-19, Matt. 18:15-18, John 20:21-23).
That whoever listens to or rejects His Church listens to or rejects HIM and the ONE who sent Him (Luke 10:16).
And that SAME Church would be guided to ALL truth by the Holy Spirit (John 16:12-15).

This is why Paul refers to the CHURCH as the pillar and foundation of Truth (1 Tim 3:15) and the FULLNESS of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23).
This is also why Jesus compared His very SELF with His Church (Acts 9:4-5).

And THAT, my friend, is Church Authority.

The irony is the people preaching judgment and punishment reap this for THEMSELVES, it boomerangs back on them, not the people they were projecting onto.
All people are held to their own words.
What they preach to others is how other people treat them!

Those who preach mercy get mercy.
Those who pray blessings get blessings.

This is God's Justice as Jesus who comes with a double edged sword
Those who do not forgive but preach judgment by retributive justice get judged by their own words
Those who live by Christ Jesus authority as Restorative Justice get the forgiveness and correction we ask for as well.

God's justice is perfect either way.
Even and especially when man's justice is biased and imperfect. We still get what we give, what we preach are the words we get held to account by.

1. Dear @Enoch111
The OT still makes references to the Retributive process of judgment and punishment. The old way of governing by the Letter of the Law FAILED to save man. But only led to more and more death and destruction by genocide. This path was not enough to overcome generations of greed and dominating by class and favor based on man's material ways of following laws.
2. The NT ways are invoking Jesus embodied into man's world. So this changes the process of laws to Restorative Justice. By the Spirit of the Laws first, which is Truth Justice and Peace, before fulfilling the Letter of the Law that follows the Spirit.

We cannot go backwards in time, trying to apply the New Restored Spirit into the old ways that failed before.

Jesus advised to create new wineskins, pour the new wine into the new, not the old, that BOTH shall be preserved.

Forgiving the breaches is not the same as endorsing or letting them continue uncorrected.

There is nothing wrong with seeking to correct, but if this comes across as judging in advance instead of forgiving with faith the corrections follow, it is the perception of man judging others that adds conflict.

If we forgive first, in order to remove the impression of manmade judgment that looks prejudiced, we can discuss the corrections more effectively instead of getting sidetracked arguing.

Colossians says 'reconciling all things...' how is it you make an exception and give it a qualification?

Dear @quietthinker
The one thing I understand that totally clashes with Christian healing prayer and energy is the dark force/occult energy.

I believe through Christ Jesus even demons CAN be transformed back into angels according to God's will if that is the plan.

But until that happens, the dark and the light forces clash with each other and this causes dangerous disruption. So unpredictable, it is considered dangerous to pray for someone until those dark influences are contained or renounced in order to protect people. Otherwise trying to mix the two energies has been described as volatile and dangerous as mixing AC and DC currents.

Really toxic demonic energy has to be cast out in Jesus name and hand these things over to the Lord to deal with.
