As I was saying friend @Addy, regarding swordsmanship, a master-stroke in the Liechtenauer tradition both parries your opponents attack and strikes him at the same time.
That's an example of physical skillfulness with the sword which has a spiritual corrallary, if you catch the meaning =]

Consider our Lord's responses to Satan testing Him in the wilderness - He both rebukes the accusations of the Adversary and exposes his sin, all with a single riposte.

It's this sort of handling of our spiritual sword that I aspire to; He set aside His glory to appear to us as our example of perfect humanity, Adam 2.0, undecieved and without sin.
Jesus in the circle with the adulterous woman.... men with BIG rocks ready to stone her... Jesus says.... HE who hath no sin... cast the first stone... One by one... the plopping of stones to the ground... until only the woman and Jesus remain.... YEP @post ... I think I understand.

Perhaps I've not yet learned how to handle my sword... but I have the gift of sensing traps... LOL

Welcome.

Now teach us some truth. :)

i wasn't quite sure what to give you for this, but i think this will do:

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, Who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also in all His house. For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.
(Hebrews 3:1-3)
  • consider Christ Jesus
  • He has greater glory than Moses:
    • He who built the house has more honor than the house
      • Moses is here called 'the house'
      • Jesus is here called 'He who built the house'

For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
(Hebrews 3:4)
  • He who built all things is God
  • Christ Jesus is God

and thus @post is the foundation and cornerstone of all other scripture....You have begun with the scripture that states Christ Jesus is God.
Doesn't get better than that.

hi; i'm post.
Yeah, know who ya' are.

i'm a mathematician.
Solve me riddle. <3≠Z

I'll let you know when you have answered correctly.

some of you know me already - i've been on the CC forums for 7 years or so
Aye, and CC has banned me several times simply because they cannot handle the truth of the prophetic movement of Seventh-day Adventists.

and a friend suggested i visit here.
Wouldn't be mailmandan would it?

i'm somewhat amazed and appalled at the heresies openly flourishing here just having read through a couple of threads in the last week! but this is reflective of the state of the 'church' in these last days - just as it was written.
Yea, the anti-Christian Jesuits (filthy 'sons of Loyola') of that Great Whore (Rev. 17) the Counter Reformation surely have divided the brethren into a thousand and more shards by there accursed doctrines, hegelian dialectialism, pseudo science, and philosophy that the ends justify the means. Truly, it was foretold though. And it is soon to fail, and backfire dramatically, but first, the appearance of triumph for a little while.

i don't expect to be very popular here
"Popular"? you mean 'of the people'? Rome has never been of the people. Their tactics have always been "crush the wretch" (understand this statement to you who read).

because i intend to speak about the Truth: He brings a sword.
Ah, the two swords of Romanism, the heretical sword of the pope's word and the persecuting sword of the pope's state. Both will perish in the lake of fire. Romanism cannot stand the presence of Truth. It is antithesis to itself.

but if we do become friends, it will be real and everlasting. brothers; sisters. =]
With a 'kiss', eh?

anyhow greets.
Yes, well, at least we see one another across the field.

forgive my directness
I think you will find the auricular confessional in a whitewashed tomb called a Cathedral with rose coloured windows.

I dont do one sided debates, and that is always the way with OSAS. You want me to anwer your questions while you ignore mine out of convenience.

Two things friend:

1: I have only spoken of one doctrine here thus far, the hypostatic union. So you are throwing around a lot of accusations unjustifiably, and that is abundantly clear to everyone who reads the thread.

2: if you do not believe Christ is God you cannot understand scripture. You welcomed me to the forum by immediately calling me Satan because I asked a question, and you haven't answered whether by your own doctrine that makes you dammed - so it is a very reasonable thing for me to ask you whether you believe Christ is God in order for me to know how to deal with you.

Do you believe Christ is God?

The answer to that is easy, but you aren't listening. Read carefully the post you are replying to. If you are unable to anwer my questions that's fine, but for the third or forth time, If you cannot answer yourself, don't expect answers.

Geez.

EG actually.

I'm not a catholic.
What do you believe then (yes/no's will suffice):

Do you believe Sunday [aka, simply not technically, 'first [day] of the week'] is the primary day Christians ought to gather?

Do you believe 'Immortal Soul/Spirit' theology, in that those who died have their immediate reward (Heaven/Hell)?

Do you believe that those who enter 'Hell' will be conscious and tormented eternally without end?

Do you believe that in 'Heaven', presently, there exists incorporeal spirits of mankind which are able to view and understand the events transpiring on earth?

Do you believe in the 'communion of the saints'?

Do you believe Michael archangel is just a created angelic being of the Host of Heaven and not the uncreated and eternal Son of God?

Do you believe in the 'trinity'?

Do you accept the Nicene Creed?

Do you accept or practice the doctrine that mankind, since the Cross of Calvary (and/or Resurrection thereof), is free to eat any flesh/meat or creature that was previously deemed 'unclean' and 'abomination'?

Do you believe that Christians are able to drink alcoholic "wine" in 'moderation'?

Do you believe that the bread used for 'communion' services (aka 'Lord's supper) is utilized as just a symbol?

Do you believe that the "wine" of the "cup" used for 'communion' services (aka 'Lord's supper) is utilized as just a symbol?

Do you believe that the Papacy (along with its Cardinals, Bishops and Priests) is the Anti-Christos mentioned in scripture?

Do you believe in Preterism?

Do you believe in Futurism?

Do you believe in Amillennialism?
