What is it limited too?

Depends of course on how it is used. Jesus is referred to as the Word at John 1:1 which in this case he is being referred to as God's spokesman.

If you simply say the Word of God, likely most people would think of the Bible, as it contains God's words to humans.

That is the amazing thing about the English language, multiple usages for words sir.

A bible can only be as useful as the person using it.

Did you know the scriptures in the bible can be used as little daggers to pick and stab other people with in just trying to have an (Debate).

Debates are so pointless because it is two people arguing point against each other with no real edification.

It is limited to what God has spoken!
"He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." Matt 11:15

If we read the Bible but are unable to hear the voice of God, then what does that tells us?

"To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice." John 10:3-4

So then where or how does one "hear"?

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Rom 10:17

So then does anyone who read the Bible "hear" the voice of God? If not.... then perhaps the Bible alone is not the Word of God... or?

Gen 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

I don't believe there was a Bible or perhaps even scriptures written at the time the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision.
I don't believe the Word of God has any limitations.

I believe Moses was told to write things down because people are hard hearted, deaf, and sometimes choose not to remember what they heard.
Kind of like Jonah.
So the Scriptures are like an encyclopedia, a rule book, a study guide...
And they have recorded what the Word of God spoke to various people throughout history.
The Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah... it wasn't scripture until he had it written.

There was no Bible until the scriptures and letters were compiled into a book.

But God has been talking to man from outside the written word and from inside the written word.
The scroll written within and without..
Eze 2:9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
Eze 2:10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

And the chapter ends...
I wonder what was written without...
Could be the law written in the hearts and minds..
those aren't within a book, those are without.

just thinking..
Hugs

"This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen" John 21:24-25

Yes, agreed truth matters but not everything a man may say is truth. There are most certainly biblical truths but they need to be considered in context.

I make mistakes, and should not be taken as everything which is spoken by me is the truth. Consider me a liar if anything.

No for the heavens declare the glory of God!
Yes, the "rocks" may also cry out, but you did not ask about who or what glorified God. You asked:

"What is the Word of God?"
and

"What is it limited to...?"

Are you changing the OP in midstream or are you derailing your own thread?

And just what is truth?

the apostles or the church and Christ are one and cannot teach error or God would be the author of error Jn 16:13 8:32 matt 28:19 Lk 10:16 etc.

You did not answer my questions but it is your thread. You should make your intentions clear and when you are changing horses, other participants would like to know about it.
