Hi to all and it should be a given that Jesus was Born under the Law , Ministered under the Law , and Died under the Law . And all under stand that Peter and the 11 , will set on 12 Thrones Judging Israel '

And there are many that say that the 10 commandments are still in effect today , even as I write this OP .

All Jewish boys had to be Circumcised on the Eighth day , ot they would taken from the camp of Israel .

And in Acts 15 , we see that Israel believed in Circumcision .

And , that Paul in Acts 21:21 was teaching the Jews among the GENTILES to Forsake Moses and Circumcision .

My Question to those who believe in keeping the Law of Moses or just the 10 Commandments " How are women saved under the Law of Moses ." ???

We see in Acts 15:1 , Except ye be Circumcised after the manner of Moses , ye cannot be saved .

They're not? So now it's o.k. to:

1. Have other gods?

2. Bow down to idols?

3. Take the Lord's name in vain?

4. ***The 4th commandment regarding the Sabbath is a matter of debate and in no way detracts from my point.***

5. Dishonor your father and mother?

6. Murder?

7. Commit adultery?

8. Steal?

9. Bear false witness?

10. Covet?

It seems to me that the women were saved by faith just like the men. This command of circumcision was for men only. If you look closely you'll see many of the OT laws were specific to women or men.

As far as the 10 commandments,,,,,,,,,, If the rest of you could refrain from arguing that on this particular post it would be very helpfull and appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

In the scriptures above the law that was being addressed was the law of circumcision. The Jews believed that the only way for a Gentile to become a christian was for them first to become a Jew. To be recognised as a Jew one had to be circumcised. (Judaism 101). They were teaching that the Law of Moses regarding circumcision was a requirement for salvation. Paul tried to show them that no such requirement was neccessary and that as far as salvation goes it was by God's grace through faith and not by any works of the law. Notice that Paul did not teach them that they needn't be circumcised according to the custom of Moses but rather that the custom of circumcision was not a requirement to receive God's grace or ultimate salvation. All are saved by God's grace through faith. God's Grace is a gift to us, it cannot be earned it is given to us by God when we have faith in Him. This Grace is not a permit to go on living in sin, but rather the opportunity to live a life of change. The 10 commandments are not in question here.

Forgive me if I'm taking this verse out of context or something, but I believe that much like circumcision was to save men under the Law, childbirth (in a Biblical situation) saves women under the Law. :)

1 Timothy 2:15 - Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

This was the first verse I thought of when I saw this thread, anyway. :) Please let me know if my assessment of this is incorrect. Thanks!

Well then, what happens to women who are barren?

I suppose I can't really answer the question just now, but I'll do some more research on it. I was only stating a verse that I knew about, because I felt that it related to the topic of being saved under the Law. :)

Your post is flawed. Circumcision never saved anyone it indicated that a man was a part of Israel. If a man was of Israel his wife and children were also. Women did not count and they were not counted.

Who is being quoted in Acts 15:1 ? Did you read it, read the rest of the chapter.

You come across like a fool wasting verses in the Bible. Women are saved by obeying men, strong willed men who are not easily swayed sexual desires.

I'm not going to cut off the hand, as was required in the OT, of a woman who power grips my junk into oblivion, but I hope our Christian love for one another keeps me from ever having to prove that. That doesn't really directly have to do with this topic, I just thought it was important enough to say.
