Just letting you know, friend, that even the oldest possible flip phone with no GPS and not even any ability to connect to internet at all or even send a text, can still be tracked through phone towers even when it's off.
The only way to fully prevent that is removing the battery and discharging all the capacitors inside the circuit board.
If you're worried about being 'purged' for believing in Jesus, then believe Him also that you ought to be glad to be counted worthy to suffer for His sake. Glad for something doesn't mean hoping to put it off, in my estimation - you know?

The laws that give the NSA the green light to track anyone and record all phone calls and messages are in the Patriot Act. Which was 100% 'conservative-right' policy under Bush/Cheney.
Don't kid yourself thinking the R party is any less evil than the D - the only difference is that they deceive Christians to buy their votes and loyalty, and the D doesn't bother.

There is though a difference in the trackability of various phones on various network types.
Surveillance can tell you a person is inside a building. Infra-red detectors can show the general shape and position of the person in the building. Cameras in the building can who you a clear image of the person.
Phone tracking is like that. Someone can triangulate between cell towers, and get the general vacinity of where you are. GPS improves on that, and in conjunction with wifi "daisy chaining", is improved further still. And 5G will make it pin-point in three dimensions. Not only what block, but what building. Not only what building, but what room.
Add the audio and video activation, and you get the complete picture.

Have you ever meditated on the fact of Paul and Silas singing praise to God after being beaten and locked in stocks? Think about the Apostles ordered beated by the Sanhedrin, they went away rejoicing.
Why would that be?
Could it be that God gives greater grace, and that we have the idea of tribulation and afflictions all wrong?
"Hoping to put it off", I suppose it depends on the reason. Mine is to have the great time of fruitfulness in this world. God will determine the way, and I'm not afraid. I have to keep telling people that, I guess most people are, and they just figure I am too.
But in my desire for fruitfulness, I have the desire for a low profile, and is that from the Lord? Who will answer that?

A thought keeps coming to mind about what Christ requires of us.
He does not want us to hid our "light" under the bed so that no one else can see it. And if we are the salt for the earth to season it, we cannot be hidden in a salt bag and not doing the job of seasoning the whole earth.
What I am hearing is that the dung heap is a calling us.

If you post on this site then most likely the government monitors your activity regardless if you have a smart phone or not. I just assume someone is watching me all the time. We gave up privacy with these cell phones/internet. It’s a thing of the past. I don’t like it but at the same time I don’t care. If someone is watching me thinking I’m a bad guy they are going to be very bored and disappointed. Plus I love the GPS map programs for hunting. In Christ we have nothing to fear.
