Thanks everyone for the prayers, perhaps I sinned too because I sent pictures of me out of boredom to this person who is separated with a wife he still cares about a lot now that I think back and it's better if I didn't, it's hard for me not to do that. I hate it. it's a weakness of mine so perhaps I need forgiveness of sins from God and all the grace and mercy from Him but other than that I don't see anything wrong I did. I still have the heart pain and ache at times :( I hope it goes away.

Who would like to comment on the expression 'in Jesus name'?

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

(1 John 5:14-15)

I pray for there to be peace in your heart, for the Lord to carry out all healing and edification in your life as He sees fit. Stand strong in the faith and know that He watches over you in all your troubles. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

I’m asking, what does it mean ie ‘in Jesus name’. Is it a magic formula that God can’t resist?

I am not so sure that grief is something that the Lord takes away, it’s a natural human reaction to loss. So heartache will ease, but it won’t just go away after prayer. It’s a process and Jesus promises to collect all our tears, he wants us to share with him what’s on our hearts, and he promises to walk with us through things.
Sometimes we mess up, sometimes it’s circumstances that lead to the loss….but the loss is still felt and self examination often comes through the process. In many respects I use to lean on friends more than the Lord for so many things, especially emotional security. Now I lean on the Lord much more, for me it took a wilderness experience when moving and leaving a church left me with very few friends. It was a process that was painful but reaped something more valuable xxxxxx

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Remember it is not according to our works but the works of Christ Jesus himself and the work that God does with-in and through you as a believer.

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18.

Mark 5:36 And Jesus immediately, having heard the word that is spoken, saith to the chief of the synagogue, 'Be not afraid, only believe.'

Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Everything has been forgiven it is your choice to believe that or not.

Oh no, that would be very disrespectful. I simply say it at the end of my prayers because I mean it to convey to the Lord that whatever I pray for be done in His name, in accordance with His will. The Son and the Father are one after all....that may be better left to discuss in another thread lol

@Rita I also think that when we bring our minds and hearts to bear on chapters such as Isaiah 53 and consider what the Lord Jesus suffered at the Cross, our own often very real and deep anguish is yet put into perspective. Hebrews 12.2: '...looking unto Jesus...'

Thanks everyone for the replies, it really means so much to me and helps me. Thanks so much @Rita for your words and your xxxxxxx's. I felt so much love. Thanks @MatthewG, yes we are to take refuge in the Lord and not confidence in man or woman. Thanks so much.

Hi everyone, I'm scared 'cause I still feel hurt, having heart pain and ache on and off even though I used my positive thinking strategies. I'm afraid I will need a heart transplant or die because the issue bothers me a lot, it's something that's very important to me.
I hope that God will give me another chance for any sins I've committed, I've got a repentant heart and I really want to learn to be aware of things I do wrong so I don't do them ever again and hurt anyone and I pray that God/Lord Jesus will cover me with all of the grace and mercy I need to urgently heal me of this heart pain and ache just as I would give grace and mercy to anyone who has done wrong to me in the same way I did and anyone God would want me to give mercy/grace to.
Amen, please pray, thanks so extraordinarily.
