Had a bloke who worked for my dad at times, he was say only in his 30's at the time and said that he had to smoke the dope due to pain in his knees or he could not work, I thought hell I would not even bother to turn up if I was smoking at all, as I am sure that I could not do my job correctly. it's not worth making one mistake in my job when your the one in charge or the whole days work can be ruined and then spend the next 3 days or more plus huge money to repair it all, making starting the job a loss and only costing you money and then be behind and cause more trouble for every other trade and not to mention destroying your reputation for work that could be coming down the track.

I believe people should be licenced to smoke dope, not just a fee for all as that just encourages idiots and fools. one has to smoke such responsibly and encourage others to be like wise.

That is what many people are beginning to say and do....and I agree that It is the best alternative to pharmaceutical meds.....that don't cure anything...just covers up the problem....imho

plus “when at the end” of life , and hospitalized …so many family members say that their loved ones are not given enough pain meds to make their departure easier …..it’s restricted . Not many Christian are afraid of dying , but many are afraid of pain..,
I am a real pain ninny myself , my pain tolerance is VERY low! Lol

wow , just before I read your post I was thinking of @bbyrd009 …our Mark. He would have lots of helpful things to say in this thread. Right. ?

One of the greatest losses on this site was the complete banning of bbyrd009 … I miss him greatly … maybe a suspension , but a ‘complete banning’… that was so badly done. :(

And no one is judging....it is now legal in almost every state.:D
I think this is a good guide for such things:

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. (1 Corinthians 6:12)
And much prayer, of course!

I blacked out and did stupid things when I drank. Some people shouldn't drink. I'm one of them. I liked drinking.. a lot. 39 ounces of whisky in one setting was enough. See what I mean? I used to drink alone. With people. Until I passed out. As soon as I woke up. I don't drink anymore.
Gee, that was like me! I remember being 15 years old, and drinking half a quart of whiskey before leaving for school in the morning.

I suppose I shouldn't dwell too much . . .

Much love!

Problem is most people that want it legalized don't really want to legalized for medical use
My understanding is the medical stuff doesn't have the hallucinary effects.
If it was used only as a medicine without the negative effects on the brain and lungs, I see no issues.
But what is actually happening is far different.

Good Word! That is something to meditate on.

I had a hemp farm for two years. I grew a field of cannabis two summers and used the cannabinoids from the plants for pain. CBD by itself is only good for anxiety relief. It doesn’t touch pain and I think the hemp industry will suffer in the long run because of that lie. CBD is ridiculously expensive and doesn’t work for pain but it is marketed for pain. Now full spectrum oils from the plant work. But that includes different cannabinoids working synergistically, not isolated compounds like CBD. But THC is still illegal in half of the country so they are isolating certain cannabinoids and selling those, like CBD etc. I think isolating a compound from hemp and selling that as some kind of miracle drug for pain is stupid. CBD is for anxiety not pain. Full spectrum oils are for pain.

THC also enhances the hallucinatory effects of LSD. Or at least it did in the 70s.
In my opinion, THC is a mild hallucinogenic. But that's how it affects me. My pain medication causes many to hallucinate. It doesn't do that with me. It helps me focus and wake up.
It's what they call a paradoxical reaction. Some would say this negates any visions I have. Me, I'd say that one had better know the Lord's voice, especially when it comes through another.
One of the main problems we have are the hate-filled wolves in our midst. They fulfill their bloodlust by mutilating the sheep. I guess it just goes with the territory. It's their lack of compassion that exposes them. Though they are very religious.

That’s an awesome statement regarding spiritual discernment. I rarely recognize the Lord in other people. I think it is because there are not a lot of true Christians. I think there are a lot of wolves though.

First let me say societal acceptance does not make something right.

Second sin is never in the what, it is always in the why. If there is a pure and good and therapeutic reason to take the drug and it works....hallelujah

However, if a drug is used to avoid dealing with painful emotions, then, in my opinion, the main problem here is not being healed emotionally.
Substance use repercussions are another issue. And since drugs usually have negative side-effects, pleasure-seeking can be counter-productive and may be a waste of time.
There are no simple answers to this often complex problem.

Medical marijuana...it's becoming accepted by old and young?
OP^

I think excluding the term "medical", marijuana, and other plant based drugs have been accepted and used by the old and young for decades (historically centuries), regardless of wealth, community status or occupation.
Legalization, is simply yet another thing for the government to worm their way into dictatating laws, regulations and taxing. <---

Land of the free...?
Home of the brave...?

Has become touted as Land of the Freebies, and if by chance you work, earn, buy what you please...you pay forever for the privilege of your efforts, To supply the Freebies.
Home of the brave...is far and few between to be brave enough to say...
You don't work, you go without.

Oops, sidetracking...
Pretty confident, God owns everthing, it IS was free to mankind, to have, enjoy, care for, use for good and the key is individual moderation and charity.
