.. is riding a white horse.

The color white in the Revelation speaks louder than a thousand books about the Revelation.

The color gold in the Revelation speaks louder than a thousand books about the Revelation.

The two different Greek words for "crown" in the Revelation speak louder than a thousand books about the Revelation.

Jesus' head and hair appear white like wool (Rev 1:14).
A white stone with a saint's name written on it (Rev 2:17).
The white raiment of the saints (Rev.3:5 & 18; 6:11; 7:9, 13 & 14).
The white clothing of the 24 elders (Rev 4:4).
The white clothing of angels (Rev 15:6).
The white raiment of the bride of Christ (Rev 19:8).
The Great White Throne (Rev 20:11).
Christ seated on a white cloud (Rev 14:14).
Christ returns on a white horse, leading His armies (Rev 19:11).
Christ's armies are riding white horses (Rev 19:14).
The first horseman of the Apocalypse is riding a white horse (Rev 6:2).
(The second horseman of the Apocalypse is riding a red horse, which is the color of the dragon in Rev 12:3)

PURE GOLD
Rev.1:13 & 20 & 2:1 (golden lampstands, golden band around the breast of the Son of man);
Rev.3:18 (gold tried in the fire);
Rev.4:4 (golden crowns of the 24 elders in heaven);
Rev.5:18 (golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints);
Rev. 8:3 & 9:13 (golden censer, golden altar);
Rev. 14:14 (golden crown of the Son of man);
Rev.15:6 (golden bands around the angels' chests);
Rev.15:7 (golden bowls of God's wrath);
Rev.21:15 (golden reed to measure the holy city, new Jerusalem);
Rev. 21:18 (the New Jerusalem is a city of pure gold);
Rev.21:21 (the New Jerusalem's street is of pure gold).

GOLD AND WHITE
"I counsel you to buy from Me gold tried in the fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see." (Revelation 3:18) (Gold is a metal which must be smelted in great heat in order to purify it).

CROWNS
Stéphanos ("crown): "apparently primary στέφω stéphō, (to twine or wreathe); a chaplet (as a badge of royalty, a prize in the public games or a symbol of honor generally; but more conspicuous and elaborate than the simple fillet, (ie diádēma), literally or figuratively:--crown."

A stéphanos is a crown of honor, and a crown of honor can only be received by a person when someone else with a much higher status (usually a king) bestows it upon him or her. But someone with royal authority wears a diádēma.

The 24 elders (and also the saints) in the Revelation are all crowned with stéphanos (crowns of honor bestowed upon them), but the crowns on the heads of the dragon (Revelation 12:3) and the ten kings (Revelation 13:1) are diádēma.

The word stéphanos (crown of honor) is found in the following verses:-
Rev 12:1 (crown of 12 stars on the woman's head);
Rev 2:10 & 3:11 (the crowns of the saints);
Rev 4:4 & 10 (the crowns of the 24 elders).
Rev 6:2 (the crown on the head of the rider of the white horse: the first horseman of the Apocalypse).

In Revelation 14:14 Jesus is crowned with a stéphanos (crown of honor). In this passage His appearance is in the form of the Son of man (Whom, as we know, has been given a name above all names),

but in Revelation 19:19 He is crowned with MANY diádēma. In this passage He is returning as King of (all) kings and Lord of (all) Lords (see Revelation 19:16).

FAKE CROWNS AND FOOLS GOLD
"Now the locusts looked like horses equipped for battle. On their heads were something like crowns (stéphanos) similar to gold, and their faces looked like men's faces." (Revelation 9:7)

THE GLORY OF GOD ABUSED BY A HARLOT?
The New Jerusalem is a city of gold with precious stones, gates of pearls, and its street is of gold.(Rev 21:18-21)

"And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet. And she was gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication." (Revelation 17:4)

I think you are implying that the rider on the white horse is jesus-= which cannot be.

2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

You forget that a stephanos is also a victors crown given to conquering generals. The generals of Rome when winning a battle were given the stephanos or the laurel wreath we see on statues.

the horse is white and not the clothing of the rider.

The stephanos and white horse were both characteristic of conquering generals.

Much love!

I was becoming relieved that we're off the subject of this thread now. I was getting weary of it

I find it very irritating me when people continue making the same false claim. You are not reading properly. How many more times must I say in this thread that the white horse represents the gospel going out in power, and the power behind the white horse is Christ?

Can you answer the following questions?

Who gives power to the two witnesses?

Who gives power to the beast riding on the red horse, taking peace from the earth?

What do horses represent?

Why shouldn't the rider on the white horse be wearing a stephanos when the Revelation has the saints and 24 elders and Christ Himself in Revelation 14:14 all wearing stephanos crowns? Are the saints all "conquering generals" or is the conquering general the power behind them?

Do you believe that the (Two Witnesses) in Revelation 11 will have physical bodies that will die, and lay in a physical street upon this earth, as a literal world watches?

Or do you believe that they are symbolic of the church?

I believe that they are two individuals, who will have physical bodies that will die, and lay in a physical street upon this earth (in Jerusalem), as a literal world watches. I believe that possibly, the main thrust of their message will be this:

Revelation 14
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment has come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

@Truth7t7 Also, Moses and Aaron (God's two witnesses in Egypt) were given power to do miracles (turning the waters to blood, etc), but Pharaoh's magicians answered with lying wonders.

The two witnesses will be given power to bring plagues on the earth. The false prophet will answer with lying wonders.

The power behind the rider on the white horse is Christ.
The power behind the rider on the read horse is the dragon.

We agree 100% with your take on the two Witnesses, I couldn't have written it better

Yes Revelation 14:6-7 will be their introduction, as God's power goes on full display

They will be calling the shots regarding all plagues seen, a remake of Moses/Aaron against Pharaoh of Egypt

However I believe the rider is Christ or his Power as you state, it's not on absolute display

I followed you all the way till the words "it's not an absolute display", because I'm unsure of what you mean by that.

If you mean, "It's not the absolute display of power that the two witnesses will be displaying", then bear in mind that the visions seen in the seals only open our understanding to the events depicted in the corresponding visions (in this case the two witnesses and the plagues they bring).

Someone here described the Revelation perfectly as being like the work of the paintings of classic artists: First they paint the background, then the foreground, then the people in the foreground, etc. It goes back to what you mean by "parallel" scenes or visions - it's all part of the same overall picture, and is not, as you correctly point out, chronological.

I believe the white horse represents Gods power, but the symbolism isnt screaming this in ones face

Unlike the 4th seal in the pale horse being death and hell, no guesswork there

Yep. But that one, like the 3rd seal, quite clearly follows as a result of the wars, i.e peace being taken from the earth by the rider on the red horse.

If you think of a scroll, it cannot be opened until every seal is opened. The 7th seal is opened, and the trumpets are introduced. The trumpets are part of what's written in the scroll (they are not spoken about in the seals that open the scroll).

But the first 6 seals each contain a vision. Likewise, though the 7th seal opens the scroll (hence introducing the trumpets), the 7th seal is not devoid of its own vision. The 7th seal closes with its own vision:

Revelation 9
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

"Voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake" are the same descriptions found in the 7th trumpet and 7th bowl of wrath. I believe that's what the 7th seal's vision of "voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake" is telling us - it's telling us of the judgments we are about to read about in the 7th trumpet and 7th plague/bowl of wrath in the scroll:

Revelation 11
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
Revelation 16
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Hail is not mentioned in the 7th seal, but it symbolizes God's judgment (the plague of hail in Egypt).

The plague of hail will be literal, not symbolic
