Whom do you think must be told to be good?
No must...already happened. It happened 2000 years ago. Are you saying that you have never seen scriptures that tell Christians to be good? And if you haven't....how many do you want?

Whom do you think must be told to do good to another?

Ah, no, everything in me shrinks in abhorrence from what you have said here.
Have you answered the question I asked?

"Did you leave him in regard to trusting him for daily life and provision, or left him in regard to holding firmly to the gospel about the forgiveness of your sin?"

Maybe I missed your answer?

That’s what I used to think too. I accused and severely castigated myself every day for all my murders and resentments. I got up every morning and set about trying to finally have a day where I could get rid of my putridness. I ended each day in tears of failure.

I lived that way for many years. Then I returned to trusting God and turned away from that miserable hamster wheel.

cease all striving and know that I am God.

cease all striving and know that I am God. I am going to assume that is a morning miss-type.
Anyway the Bible says what it says...it really does not matter what you think....trips to alternate realities....when you come back the Bible is still here and says what it says.

And here we have come full circle and the mistake can be seen. A woman says she must fully and completely trust everything God has said and the response is, then you are lost and there’s no hope for you.
Incredible! Unbelievable! :(

Before I did this comment, I waited for @Ferris Bueller to react. To be sure if there was just a misunderstanding or what. I was expecting some sort of a clarification or explanation when he said “then you are lost and there’s no hope for you. But it turns out he did not. And so, I say here in reaction “Incredible! Unbelievable!”

<<<Whom do you think must be told to be good?>>>

The bad or the not good people.

<<<Whom do you think must be told to do good to another?>>>

The people who do not do good to others.

<<<Whom do you think must be told to obey Jesus Christ?>>>

The people who profess and claim to have Jesus Christ as their Lord or Master, who do not obey.

<<<Whom do you think must be warned about sins?>>>

The people who knows not about sins.

<<<Whom do you think must be warned of the punishment of sinning?>>>

The people who practice sin.

@Grailhunter said and I quote:

“The scriptures are full of verses that tell us to be good.
The scriptures are full of verses that tell us to do good for one another.
The scriptures are full of verses that tell us to obey Christ.
The scriptures are full of verses that warn about sins.
The scriptures are full of verses that warn of the punishment for sinning.”

If one looks at all my answers to the questions I raised, would you say those scriptures @Grailhunter was referring to, are the people whom the Father had given to Jesus Christ to be raised at the last day unto eternal life, who were foreknown, called, justified, and glorified, who understood and believed the gospel, who believes God and have faith in Jesus Christ, and have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them?

You are echoing words of the Bible with a hint of the great puppet master religion...
But as they say....You talk'da talk, but do ya walk the walk?

I believe when a person has been touched by the Spirit of God and has responded in a positive manner, Christ becomes his Sacrifice and High Priest and undertakes the sinner's case until he dies.
He does.........as long as we hold firmly to the word of the gospel by which we were saved. But I do believe that God will follow a person on their journey back to Egypt in unbelief just long enough to try to convince them to come back. How long he does that depends on the particular person and their situation and the reason they left.

Yes, we have confidence that God who has begun a good work in us will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. But it seems this is not what @Ferris Bueller believes.
As long as you hold firmly to the gospel word, in faith, God will work to the day of your death to bring you to maturity according to the stature of Christ. Don't do like BB does and leave part of my argument out.

It was not necessary for you to say the last statement.

Considering what you are saying there, it seems to be that you put a condition to what scriptures says that God will complete the good work He had begun in the Christian (true believer) until the day of Jesus Christ. A condition even that seems to render God to not be in control, and have the person be in control instead.

Lol, I was wondering what lengthy passage of NT scripture I should use to show him God tells saved, believing Christians to do good.
There are a lot of scriptures that tell Christians to be good.... but if you like Psalm .... Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;

A little Old Testament but....

Now as far as doing good to others...take your pick

What a woman needs to fully trust is that God forgives her sins through the Sacrifice and Ministry of Jesus Christ! That is the trusting that determines her fate now and at the return of Christ.

Yes. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins. Thats a great relief and such joy.
But it’s a strange bit of nonsense to say you only have to trust your sins are forgiven and you will live forever and everything else He said is optional as to whether you trust Him on it or not.

But not in regard to your salvation. Unless that small point of mistrust is in regard to whether or not your sins are really forgiven by God.

or unless the small point is defending and saving your seat despite unbelief on every other thing He has said.

I already explained this to you. Did you just decide to not read that one last night, and yet decide you are qualified to comment on what I say? You really need to start reading my posts and with comprehension if you're going to criticize and critique what I say.

lol......you just might be on to something there....I’m so far behind in these posts ( I get attacked from so many sides) I am getting in too big of a hurry.....sorry if I have short-changed you....

I, personally, can not relate to this in any way shape or form. But, apparently, some people do.
Well, then, It's really hard for me to understand this:
I think the point for this discussion is you had to come back in order to be saved. Yes, God pursued you, and so was 'with you' that way, but I think it wrong to think that meant you were saved during that time. Had you died in your unbelief (if that was actually the condition you were in) you would have died in an unsaved state and would not be saved when Jesus returns.

Who are these people, BB?

You know him... you love him.....you can’t live without him——The Honorable Mr. Ferris Bueller.....He mocks those that try to learn from others .....he just can’t “ believe” that there are wise, Gifted, God -sent Teachers out there ( “gifts from God” , the Bible calls them) who can help to Rightly Divide God’s Word.....He must be unaware of the Bereans....he must think we can do what they did.....listen to many things and compare them with Scripture.....he thinks we will become brain- washed lemmings, apparently....

Why would you consider Christ misery?
Why would you consider scripture misery?
Why would you consider truth misery?

Maybe one day they will make a Bible just for OSAS. Of course they would have to suck all the truth out it.

Your reading comprehension is being blocked by your own goal and your defense of doctrine.
Trying so hard to be good by my own strength was misery. I gave up and returned to trust and then saw great strides.

May I ask, when you say “Christians”, are you referring to those whom the Father had given to the Son to raise up at the last day, who were created anew in Christ Jesus by God, who were foreknown, called, justified, and glorified?

By the way, my answers to the questions are in here: Here is what it all comes down to—- and you’d better get it right!
