No. He and his friends were playing with it. I'll never touch the stuff as I have medical problems of a neurological nature which I passed to him.
@Cachalot Sounds like he doesn't take it any more now. Sorry about your neurological problems. Maybe if you hadn't had those problems over the years - and the Lord knows our circumstances - you might have in theory been slightly more open to trying it.

No. And kindly please do not make assumptions. Drugs that alter a person mental state are detestable to me.

The underlying issues that cause a person to resort to using potentially harmful substances to quiet them, need to be addressed.

Addiction and medical are, yes, two distinct issues.
As with any medication, Cannabis has the potential for adverse side effects, and the potential positive and negative results need to be weighed.

It has long struck me that huge pharmaceutical corporations have traditionally been quite content for Christians to moralize against medicinal marijuana while they themselves continue to rake in huge profits for their more expensive meds. (Remarkable that the old and infirm who live near the Canadian and Mexican borders have been able to cross the border and pay sometimes only one 20th of what they must pay in the US for some conventional meds.)

Our dogs are getting on in age. Arthritis is setting in, especially with the Dobies.
They will eat all the leaf you give them. Then they sleep. This is good. For medical purposes...

I'm only here to complain. For a week now, every time I stick my head out the back door, all I can smell is weed. We live in a townhouse complex and half of our neighbors grow weed, too!
I keep expecting to hear law enforcement helicopters flying overhead or to have the DEA spraying paraquat on us. But no! Instead, I see buds sticking out of backyards.
Well, just when I didn't think it could get any worse, it did. Today was harvest day and guess what the spare room next to me is being used for? SMH Now my room smells like weed. At least when it's fresh, it don't smell too bad. Sheesh! I should get compensated!

@Heart2Soul So have you found this thread helpful so far? :)

I saw a video of the Vancouver Pain Society's first vending machine client, a young lady, using a vending machine for cannabis for the first time.

A vending machine...why not? Next thing you know, they'll have gummies shaped like Fred Flintstone.

It was about 50-50 or maybe 60-40.
The way I see it is when the babyboomers have all passed away all the moral issues will drastically change concerning it....which it is changing now but still facing opposition by us old timers.

Opposition? My room stinks from the drying weed hanging in the next room! Canada's gone weed-happy! You can't advertise tobacco in the drug store or Walmart but you can buy everything to grow weed but the seeds in most stores. Cannabis leaves are on everything!

I think the hippies did not represent the majority of the baby boomers...but more directly I am referring to the religious society of the time.

@Heart2Soul What leaves me baffled is earnest evangelicals moralizing against people in pain using marijuana which has been on the road to being legalized for a long while, at the same time as huge pharmaceutical corporations being happy to let evangelicals do their vested interest in moralizing while they the huge corporations rake in huge profits from conventional meds....

All topsy-turvy....

I remember protesting the Viet Nam war. My sister's first husband was an American draft-dodger. We were hippies. And we smoked all the weed we could!
