Love the sax in that.
"At night, when all the world's asleep, etc" reminds me of when I met Jesus. A friend had asked me earlier in the day, "do you think God would approve of your lifestyle".
That night, alone looking up at the black ceiling, I decided to give my life to God so that He could make it something He would approve of.
Have you ever been hugged by love itself? Love came into my room, say next to me on the bed, wrapped it's arms around me and said, you're not alone, I've got you. Don't you worry about a thing. I finally cried and laughed myself to sleep several hours later.
I woke up to a new day, and a new life. Love hasn't let go.

Who says that he knows anything, does not yet know
so fwiw i think doubts are healthy
While I may not go quite so far as saying doubts are healthy, I am sure God doesn't mind us having them. John the Baptist doubted. He who was called to make straight the pathways of the Messiah, had to ask if Jesus was the one. And Jesus was his cousin! What is not healthy is keeping those doubts to ourselves and allowing them to build and morphe into complete unbelief or distrust.

We are still here, just not sure what to say that will help. Sometimes it’s better not to speak at all.

Doubts are healthy until and if all real doubts are gone. When does that happen to a person, if ever? Did Jesus walking around as a man 2,000 years ago ever have any doubts? If the answer is, no, so then may we each find our own answer in these words?

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

Jesus appeared to Saul/Paul on the road to Damascus, but initially he was very blind indeed needing others to guide him until...?

How long will it take us to "be like him" and to "see him as he is"?

Heb 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

This is exactly the experience that surrendering to Jesus entails. It's not actually surrendering that is happening, but it is accepting a belief as if it was a real fact. Before that your logical processor will always "doubt" fight invading belief systems to protect the brains sensory department's from having faulty information written on them. That's why doubt is considered a enemy in all facets of belief based communities, as whatever belief has been delivered to the individual must bypass that protective feature of the brain first.

This would have been the trigger point that lead you to force the square peg of that person's belief into a hole it shouldn't have gone.

As if, doesn't exist in true faith.
Faith is a fact in itself. You either have it or you don't.
fight invading belief systems to protect the brains sensory department's from having faulty information written on them.
What we believe is that the faulty information that was initially written into the brains sensory department, is what we call original sin.
It is like a wall that seperates us from having faith.
It's also called a carnal mind. It only believes what is tangible in this 3 dimensional world.
Scientists believe their could be as many as 10 dimensions. There is no physical proof of such, so why even make the claim?
Why do they believe this? What proof do they have? Why should I believe there is anything more than what I experience with my 5 senses?
What about the 4th dimension?

Faith is like existing in the 4th dimension.
You don't have to see it to believe it, unless at some point in space and time you also become 4D.
Perhaps this is what real LIFE looks like outside the box we live in.

Christians believe that God resides outside of limited space and time.
And some have claimed throughout the mileniums to have see this shape move within our 3D prison.
The Words of God are timeless and they are not contained within a space like a book. But are also a part of our very 3D being.
This Word, it is sound, it is an idea, it is a thought.. it is intangible and yet exists within each of us.
Some can hear it because they have allowed their ears to be opened.
Some can see it because they have allowed their eyes to see it.

Your brains sensory department is only 3D and lives within a box, until the box is opened.

Merry Christmas :)

Consider the 4th dimension as living IN it.
But we can't see it. We just know it.
This 4th dimension is perhaps what we call Christ.
Except it's personal.

@Ziggy When one reads through Hebrews 11, 'by faith', 'by faith', 'by faith', and all those OT examples of ppl living in tumultuous times, one can see just how factual and real such faith is! :)

@amadeus I do love John's First Epistle! :)

So warm; so searching, all about faith in God's beloved Son....

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Heb 11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

It is hard to explain what faith is.

If you can picture in your mind a giant ball of light. And you are standing in it and at the same time this ball of light is in you.
This ball of light is Love. But our minds are closed off from it. We feel what love is sometimes in our hearts. And it can be short or lasting depending on how long we hold onto it. Or we can ignore it all together. Sometimes it is so overwhelming it can not be ignored.

What is love? where does it come from?

My interpretation of God is much different than how most of the world understands God.
I do not see God as a man. God came in the form of a man, but that was the form he chose to show himself to us.
In that video concerning the 4th dimension. There is a part regarding the 4th dimensional entity being able to flip an image to look like itself.
God made man in his image and likeness for the purpose of creating himself in us.
This flipping.. this is that conversion.. from dark to light.
From ignorance to knowlegde. To understanding our purpose for being here.

Until Christ be formed in you.
What does that mean?
To me, that means that ball of light, that realm of love in which we all reside in but can not see, as a 4th dimension, is revealed within us.
Let your light so shine among men...

When I think of Jesus I see a man. When I think of God, I see this ball of light within the man we call Jesus.
This light became flesh to walk among us and show us his love, his character, who and what God is.
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten son, he hath declared him.

That is like saying, no one has ever seen the 4th dimension because we are only 3dimensional creatures. So this 4th dimensional power, manifested itself into our 3 dimensional world.
And through Jesus dying on the cross and rising again, we can know how this 4th dimension exists outside of our space and time.
Death can not hold him. Death is finite. Eternity is infinate.
Death only has power in this 3 dimensional existence. When we die our being passes over to the 4th dimension.

2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

So then faith is acknowledging that there is another dimension. One in which we can't see, but one in which we seek to attain.
Throughout the bible God shows himself in many different forms. From a lion to a dove. From an all consuming fire to a gentle rain.
He is all things, and all things were created for him and by him. To express himself.
And through these things that he created we are shown the characteristics of who he is.

We say he or him because that is how we are able to comprehend this 4th dimension by ... basically looking in the mirror.
But if we were able to remove this outer coat of flesh and bones, then what remains is the spirit.

Within this 4th dimension there are laws. Like we have gravity and energy. Except these laws are based on principles and morals.
You can't see kindness, but you can witness it in action. Like watching an apple fall from a tree.

God spoke to Moses from a fire and gave him his law. Based on the principles that reside in his dimension.
But because we are only 3 dimensional we fail at living by 4th dimensional aptitudes.
And because we were "fallen" God came to save us and to create in us the ability to achieve by placing his own self within us.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

So how does one become one of his?
Through faith and believing that he is.
This what we call God IS love. And everything that comes from God Is love. And if you don't have love in you, you will not be recognized.
Because Love only sees itself.. in us. And we can only see God when he is in us.
Mirror/Mirror
Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ. Being clothed with his righteousness. Death is swallowed up in victory.
Because we become that which created us from the beginning... Light.

And the Light was the life of men.

Everyone has their own image in their own mind what God looks like, who he is, how he operates.
There are many different levels of understanding.
I find new ones all the time.

It's not easy explaining why one has faith in something you can not see, except that that which is unseen makes itself manifest to those who seek it.
I find God in music all the time.
That's why I play a lot of music videos. They say the words I'm looking for but don't know how to express them.
Sometimes it's the words, sometimes it's the rhythm or the beat. Sometimes it's the pictures in the videos I'm trying to express.
The creativity of man is beautiful and I believe God expresses himself through us through all kinds of art.

Hugs
