I was originally known as Brakelite. An allusion to attracting people's attention when danger's ahead.
Backlit came into existence when I accidentally signed off the forum and no-one could help me sign in again as my password was forgotten and the forum email system broken. Backlit means I'm nothing without the Light.

Cristo Rei is also the name of this monument in Lisbon, Portugal

It is the tallest monument to Jesus in the world (if you include the pedestal)

Yellow Submarine

In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines

So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found the sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

And our friends are all aboard
Many more of them live next door
And the band begins to play

We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

Full speed ahead, Mr. Boatswain, full speed ahead!
Full speed it is, Sergeant!
Cut the cable, drop the cable!
Aye-aye, sir, aye-aye!
Captain, Captain!

As we live a life of ease (a life of ease)
Everyone of us (everyone of us) has all we need (has all we need)
Sky of blue (sky of blue) and sea of green (sea of green)
In our yellow (in our yellow) submarine (submarine, ah-ha)

We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

I suppose my username is self-explanatory since it's Sgt. Pepper, which is short for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band.

It's in honor of my most favorite band... The Beatles. The Beatles are the greatest, and most awesome, band to ever grace the Earth.

Yeah! Brilliant.

I live in Liverpool.
Mungo is the nickname of St. Kentigern who is the Secondary Patron of my diocese of Liverpool.
"Kentigern, also known as Mungo, was a missionary to the Britons in Strathclyde [Scotland] and was consecrated their bishop. Driven out by persecution, he preached in north-west England and in Wales, but eventually returned to Scotland. He died in 603 and was buried in Glasgow."

That's cool.

I told my husband that I'd like to take a trip to Liverpool someday, so I could visit all the Beatles' attractions. I'd love to see this statue, too.

Yes, I've seen several people getting their photo taken alongside them.

There is a statue of Eleanor Rigby sitting on a bench, all lonely, behind one of the store in town, and a yellow submarine somewhere.

My username is inspired by the following passage:

“And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.” (2 Chronicles 18:7)

Because most people hate what I say as well.

And the flaming ‘M’ from this passage:

“Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.” (Jeremiah 5:14)

Now we're getting personal. Just kidding.

For the record, The Beatles are the best-selling band of all time. They are the absolute greatest band of all time. Bar none. 51 years after the song's original release: "The BeatlesLet It Be surges back onto the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 30), re-entering at No. 5 following its deluxe special edition reissue on Oct. 15. The set was first released in 1970 as the final studio effort from the band, and also doubled as the soundtrack to the documentary film of the same name. The album spent four weeks atop the Billboard 200 (June 13 – July 4, 1970-dated charts) and is one of a record 19 No. 1 albums for the group." - The Beatles' 'Let It Be' Returns to Billboard Charts After Special Edition Reissue. The Beatles are the best.

I saw them live back in 1965. Cincinnati.....$3.00 tickets....played 25 minutes.... could not hear them play...,.no regrets...lol..

That reminds me of a story Ringo once told in an interview. He talked about how the noise from the crowd was so loud that he couldn't hear John, Paul and George play at all or even hear himself play the drums. He said he would watch John's backside or Paul's backside to keep up the rhythm. I thought it was funny the way he told the story. I would post the interview I'm referring to, but he uses some profanity, so I won't post it.

My husband was going to take me to see Ringo a few years ago, but I backed out because of my fear of crowds and dislike of loud noises. Ringo is 81, and Paul is 79. I know I'll regret it if I don't see at least one of the surviving Beatles in concert. I want to see Ringo because he's my favorite.
@Sgt. Pepper I know there is Christian rock also; although some ppl do find it rather loud to be able to concentrate on the Lord in worship.

I don't usually listen to music on the radio, either. I like to choose my own music, and I don't like all the commercials. I have an extensive selection of my favorite music in my music app on my iPhone. I tell my kids and husband that it's like having my own personal radio station. It's great.
@Sgt. Pepper I do like listening to the great hymns of the faith...
