Well, here it goes AGAIN. Over the last forty years I've seen this (end time predictions) over a dozen times. The news people have a "field day" with laughter on the premillennalist. The news media draws cartoons of men carrying signs with "end of world" on them. The premillennialist gives the media a lot of ammo.

This has been going on for many years. Here is an interesting article on the signs here in Texas:
http://www.kens5.com/home/Billboards-proclaim-end-of-the-world-is-this-month-121263644.html

Our assembly is having a "get together" (fellowship) on May 21st, Can someone tell me what time the end is going to be so we can "adjust" out schedule and have our fellowship earlier?

Your servant in Messiah,

The sad thing about this is that scripture says people will blaspheme the way of truth because of 'christian falsehood. Scoffers a plenty will result.
This however will not negate the fact that Christ will return, sooner than most realize.

MAY 21st End of World??? LOL

I love it! From my church ages video (http://www.christianityboard.com/topic/13598-the-seven-church-ages-per-gods-word/)...

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half.” –Daniel 12:7

From a folio cataloged as Yahuda MS 7.3g, f. 13v:

"So then the time times & half a time are 42 months or 1260 days or three years & an half, reckoning twelve months to a year & 30 days to a month as was done in the Calendar of the primitive year. And the days of short lived Beasts being put for the years of lived kingdoms, the period of 1260 days, if dated from the complete conquest of the three kings A.C. 800, will end A.C. 2060.” – Isaac Newton

As Charlemagne was crowned king on December 25, 800 by Pope Leo the III so the day of Christ's coming will be on Christmas Day, 2060. If the rapture of the saints (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) occurs seven years before the time of Christ’s coming the date of the rapture 12.25 2053. However… Isaac Newton notes…

“It may end later, but I see no reason for its ending sooner. This I mention not to assert when the time of the end shall be, but to put a stop to the rash conjectures of fancifull men who are frequently predicting the time of the end, & by doing so bring the sacred prophesies into discredit as often as their predictions fail. Christ comes as a thief in the night, & it is not for us to know the times & seasons which God hath put into his own breast." –Isaac Newton

I find Newton interesting, too regarding his view on end times. I'll go with him far before anyone else. Anyone who invents calculus to solve his problems is my kind of Theologian.

As for the May 21st day, Nothing will happen, no rapture, nothing. If somebody is going to make a prediction, I always check out the Hebrew calendar because the first day of the month was always at new moon. God always does things according to that calendar, so the first thing I do is check the phase of the moon. on the supposed date. On May 21st will be the 19th of Iyyar---- a few days past full moon. God nowhere even ordained such a day for a feast.

If anything noteworthy will happen, rest assured it will be on a new moon (most likely), possible waxing Gibbous moon or full moon. The exception is if we are talking about Firstfruits or Pentecost which did not have set dates. However, May 21st is neither.

Hello Tim:

I've had engineering algebra, matrix algebra, trig, calculus 1,2 & 3, differential equations and two semesters of "higher mathematics for engineers at Texas Tech U." NONE OF THIS HAS HELPED ME grow closer to the Lord or respect Newton as a theologian.

If you get a chance, take a look at this site: (in response site to the End of world 5/21/11)
Remember, only 3 more shopping days left.

I want to title this reply as "THE LAST SUPPER'

My wife and I ate PIZZA tognight in celebration of the last supper before the "rapture" tommorw??? LOL

So far, Crystal (my wife) and I have made it through many of these premillennial rapture events. We've been married 48 years and have seen a dozen or more of "raptures."
Our assembly (church) will meet at 1:30 tomorrow for lunch and fun at one of the saints house. Hope we can finish lunch and fellowship before the rapture.
You are invited to our fellowship if you miss the rapture. We are a group of New Covenant people of God and welcome your fellowship.

Well, well. Here the day came and went, and no rapture. I said that back in my earlier post. Obviously this guy does not know the Hebrew calendar. I told him the phase of the moon was wrong---- the critical astronomical body in determining months.

Ya, there's as little chance of it having happened May 21st as there is it happening each and every second within May 21st or each and every second after May 21st as there is of it happening exactly now, this very second, before I finish writing this sen

Well, the laptop dropped after I was taken and it coincidentally hit the return key on the fall. But of course I'm still here because I'm typing this... and well, where I live it's still May 21st for one more hour. So it could happen just as I said and even now as I write this... !? Or maybe I'll just start blaming everyone's lack of faith for it not happening; that seems like the next appropriate and rational step to ta

Camping is an "old man dreaming dreams" [Joel 2:28] spreading the lie of rapture and not seeing the spirit of the Word. Was he wrong on the date of May 21...which is Lyar 17 on the Hebrew calendar? I don't think so...it is just that he was waiting for a huge literal earthquake and a rapture.

May 21st is written for us to see. The year is the questionable part...did it begin a few days ago? Maybe...we'll see what the next few months hold.

Yeah, you are right whirlwind. May 21st was the 17th of Iyyar. I have the Jewish date displayed on my homepage (it's a script from a web site) and when I wrote my other message I added incorrectly the number of days to that date and arrived at the 19th instead of the 17th. I should have looked up the date forthright. That's an embarassment to someone who claims to be a math minor! Well, we all make silly mistakes.

[/url]Reporter, speaking of a May 21 follower: "How do you feel about this woman who tried to take her life and her own daughters' life?"

Camping hears incorrectly and thinks that somebody committed suicide.

Camping: "She attempted to? Oh my that makes me feel better because death is terrible. It's contrary to all that the Bible teaches."

Reporter: "Do you take any responsibility for that?"

Camping says he does "not take responsibility. I don't have spiritual rule of anybody, except my wife," he chuckles. "Because as head of the household I have spiritual rule over my wife."
