Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

‘Let not sin’

Knowing, that it is learned by experience that man’s will power is not sufficient enough to bring these words to fulfillment… Therefore must there be something else that can be brought to bear to bring forth the fulfillment of these words… For God would not have told man to do something that was impossible for him to do, so something else must be afoot, something that is given to man to bring these words to life…

Seeing how it is not in the power of the life of self, but nevertheless something would have to be available to man for his choosing…. Some power would have to be available to man that man could choose to appropriate or not appropriate… This power would have to be always available to man or it would be impossible for man to fulfill the command to ‘let not’… Seeing how no one man is special, this power would therefore have to be universally available to all, at any and all given moments of time, or it would be impossible at the moments it was not available, to fulfill these words…

So what power is available to all at any given moment, never to fail, never a half measure, but always with the strength to bring these words to effect… There is no power in man capable of this, but in God there is, He would have the power to bring these words to life… If only He was willing to always be there, with a promise to live His life through one, so that one could live out the words ‘let not sin’ have its way in the life…

This is the choice set before the heart of man… Either God is always there willing to impart His strength and life into one so that one can walk in this ‘let not’, or He is not willing at this or that moment of time to fulfill the desire of the heart that asks it of Him, it being either one or the other… There still is another reason, that this ‘let not sin’ is not lived out…. That being, that man’s heart does not fully want to be freed from sin at that particular moment of time… By reason he is not yet willing to give up all of the self-life, the self-life being where all sin comes from…

For these choices are set before man, two of these are always true at any given moment of time… That being, either God is, or isn’t willing, and man, either is, or isn’t willing… One or the other of these things are always true, which ones will determine whether or not this ‘let not sin’ is brought to a realization…

Seeing therefore how it is an utter impossibility for God to not be willing, so therefore is the choice to appropriate God’s power in life to bring about this ‘let not sin’ put before man, for him to choose to let sin reign or not to let sin reign… The fulfillment of this ‘let not’ by the trusting of God to manifest His life in one, or, by not choosing to trust God to manifest His life in one…

This is the power that is universally available to all at all times seasons occasions, to all, as long as one has life in this world, God’s power to overcome sin is universally available to all by the will choosing to trust Him to manifest the Life that sins not…

This is the choice in the ‘let not’ that is set before man…

Be blessed in walking by faith in the ‘let not’, that is, walking in the newness of life that is available to one walking in the power of faith, for to the degree of this faith, will be the degree of this ‘let not’….

@Not me Reminds me in contrast of Romans 5.21: "...as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord."

AND THUS IT IS HE who is the POWER OF GOD , for by the SPIRIT the lambs now call HIM LORD
and by the SPIRIT we have the POWER to CRUCIFY the deeds of the flesh . JESUS came to set the captives free .
FAITH IN JESUS . All else is vain .
