Mat 26:28 - for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (footnotes say: Other ancient authorities insert "New" in Matt,Ma
Mar 14:24 - And he said to them, "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.
There is no justification for the omission of "New". The New Covenant went into effect the day Christ died, and the proof of that was the supernatural tearing down of the temple veil in two. Which meant that the Day of Atonement had been fulfilled (along with the feast of Passover), and that access to the Holiest Place in Heaven was available through the blood of Christ. Paul makes it perfectly clear that the New Covenant (or Testament) is firmly in place right now. Indeed the very fact that we have a "New Testament" in our Bibles should be sufficient.

I quoted scripture there but not all verses that refer to the New Covenant. I am absolutely 100% a New Covenant believer in Christ. Besides, I was in the process of editing what you have posted but something went amiss before I finished but the complete version is on page 65 at the bottom.

The Last Supper was on Thursday.
Agreed :)
It's communion and/or the "Mass", that didn't exist yet, that was instituted.
On this I would say that the communion memorial was revealed as to how it was to be practiced and then the meaning of the "bread/artos and the wine in regards to the "New Covenant."
The Apostles were still under the Old Testament.
Yes, they were literally under the Old Testament, but Jesus was also "revealing" that a change in the old way of animal sacrifices and cereal offering rituals was going to take place after His resurrection in regards to the rituals that is above.
The New Covenant did not go into effect until after Jesus died. A person must die before their Testament, or will, goes into effect.
I agree that it was revealed at the Last Supper what was to go into effect at his "resurrection" - but not at his death while on the cross.

Not sure where this should be...
the study of God seemed appropriate (maybe).

Every denomination has some teaching or doctrine that we would not agree with.

How would you explain the difference between an
incorrect teaching
and
a heretical teaching...?

IOW,,,when does an incorrect teaching become heretical?

Thanks.

Im not sure I would call them two different things…anytime you are teaching doctrines of men that aren’t true, you are teaching leaven/heresy, aren’t you.

For instance, when you teach that men without Gods Spirit will be eternally tortured, you are teaching that all men are born immortal, but there IS no eternal existence for humans without Gods Spirit. So you are teaching what the Bible does not teach but rather are teaching the leaven of men.

So by this leaven, twice dead/dying again, becomes eternal life.

If you believe that "there IS no eternal existence for humans without Gods Spirit" then what you are saying is that upon death of the unsaved their bodies and spirit/souls are annihilated.

Is that what I think you mean?

Yes.
Any human thrown into the lake of fire dies a second time, never to be raised again. The lake of fire is the second death. It is to be doubly dead for a human.

The outer darkness is a different story. I’m still working on that one. It is not thrown into the lake of fire. Those who are there appear to not be given the mercy of annihilation. It’s terrifying but I’m still working on it. I hope it will only last a thousand years but I don’t know. I’ve put it down because I’m afraid to look further into it. But I do know that it terrified the demons and they asked to be cast into pigs rather than go there and I know men invited to and trying to go to the wedding can be cast there.

If it is eternal, anything cast there DOES have an eternal existence, and if you think that out as a human it’s terrifying. I take hope though in the parable about the man who had his debt forgiven and refused to forgive the debt of another man. He is cast somewhere and will not come out until he pays the last farthing. So there’s hope there. It doesn’t say he will never come out.

I'll have to agree with this.

What was later called the mass was added later by those who did not accept that the work of Christ was finished (John 19.30) and thus entirely satisfactory for the sinner's redemption.

Hello GG,

really? you agree with this? What is the Mass if not the 'breaking of the bread' that the apostles devoted themselves too?

Is it not, as the Church has recognized from the beginning the fulfillment of Malachi 1:11?

For from the rising of the sun, even to its setting, my name is great among the nations; And everywhere they bring sacrifice to my name, and a pure offering; For great is my name among the nations, says the LORD of hosts.

compare with the ~The Didache~ written circa 70 AD.

1. On the Lord's Day of the Lord come together, break bread and hold Eucharist, after confessing your transgressions that your offering may be pure;
2. But let none who has a quarrel with his fellow join in your meeting until they be reconciled, that your sacrifice be not defiled.
3. For this is that which was spoken by the Lord, "In every place and time offer me a pure sacrifice, for I am a great king," saith the Lord, "and my name is wonderful among the heathen."

Is it not the intimate union of Christ and His church, The Groom and His bride?

"For this reason a man shall leave (his) father and (his) mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."

This is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and the church.

Gloria in excelcis Deo!

In 1 Corinthians 11.24 the words of the Lord Jesus are recorded as regards the Lord's Supper: 'This do in remembrance of Me'. It is a remembrance, not a supposed, repeated sacrifice that supposedly contributes to the vital union between Christ and His church. John 19.30 makes it clear that the work of Christ at the Cross is 'finished'. Hebrews chapters 9 and 10 make this additionally clear.

My dear farouk,

the work of Christ on the Cross is indeed finished.

What then do we have on our alter but the Lamb of God, who ONCE was slain, and now lives forever! (Rev 12:6). The Lamb who our Almighty Father in His goodness gives us, and to who's ONE sacrifice we unite our praise and thanksgiving, yes our very selves, offering all Glory and Honour, to our Almighty Father, through, with and in Jesus Christ our Lord and high priest, in the unity of the Holy Spirit!

And then our Groom gives Himself to us, and unites us with Himself, 'the two made one flesh'...

Gloria in excelcis Deo!

The leaven of men comes from those who teach. They teach the leaven they were taught. It goes downhill from there.
So never support the RCC . ITS FALSE SISTER . Never support the mormon church ITS FALSE
Folks act like i got bubonic plague when i warn . BUT WHY .
IF i saw your child or anyones child getting ready to skate on thin ice or skating on thin ice
I would do every thing i could to outright stop that child . FOR their own good .
SO why do we ignore false doctrine . WHY do we allow catholics , and many protestants
to sit under false teachers and false doctrine when the end of that is even worse than death itself , THE second death .
I am gonna warn . No matter who turns against me . ITS cause i love the people . I shun false doctrine to hell
And i well never support the emergent church , nar , prosperity gospel , social gospel , pope francis or the deadly CC .
We should have LOVED THEM and DID SOMETHING . we should have warned those who were in danger and sat under false hoods .
More and more will flee me in the days ahead , BUT I AINT NEVER GONNA STOP being grave , serious , warning
and doing all i can by the power of Grace to remind of TRUTH and warn against error .

The reason it is not thrown in the Lake of Fire is because the Lake of Fire is located in outer darkness. Which means it is outside of space (which is not infinite as many have imagined).

You're right.
Sometimes we think too much.
I had to teach this stuff to kids and got very interested in theology and apologetics because one of my faults
is that I have to understand everything.

As far as my soul is concerned, I'm resting in our Lord Jesus and am depending on Him as a compass and as a Savior.

As far as the rest...I just keep reading about different ideas, concepts.
I think it has strengthened my faith...but it's always been strong.

Posting here is also a learning experience.
Many on this forum are so knowledgeable.
@GodsGrace It's interesting that at the Reformation many students of doctrine started increasingly to look directly at what Scripture says.

However, even some ppl called Protestants continued doing theology via logical propositions, as with Medieval theologians, over and over: highly interesting, maybe, but the appeal to Scripture was already becoming obscured in many cases.

I don’t support any of the churches or denominations. Not one. They all have the leaven of men. I love my brothers and sisters who are in them though. One day, God will say, come out of her my people. Do not share in the plagues of the great whore.

The Early Fathers knew what scripture said.
The problem is that hundreds of years went by and men are power hungry and full of the sin nature and they
corrupted the original church until it wasn't recognized anymore.

I think this is happening again right now in the Protestant denominations.

The Didache is most probably between 90 and 120....most scholars believe it is closer to 90AD

I can't remember what I agreed with!

The way the Mass is done today is NOT how it was done in the beginning.
I might have been agreeing with that.
Do you think it is?

Is the above list from the Didache?
I can't remember no. 3
Could you post sources when quoting? This would be normal procedure...
Thanks.
