Cause the Earth is much older. Earth is not even 6,000 years old. Earth in this second earth age is almost 6000 flesh years old.Where can I put these verses at? In the previous Earth age, or this second Earth age?Job 40:15-18 - Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. These verses are referring to dinosaurs...And dinosaurs didn't exist in this Earth age (second) but in the previous (first) Earth age.Lovest thou in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.

Kriss,You made a statement earlier that God asked men to do things after the fall in the Garden. Cain was born after the fall! Also what is your point of view concerning Genisis 1:1-2Since you guys are so muchinto the Hebrew and Greek text?Genesis1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.Vs.2And the earth was with out form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. These two words: form and voidI've read that they mean : waisted and destroyedIs this true? If it is true, why would God create a world that was waisted and destroyed?
I am impressed Jody you caught it he wouldnt this is the preadadmic age/world he destroyed Then he started this age/world this is of course the Gap theroy I do believe that there is in the manuscripts words used thatconfirm this in 2nd Peter 3 when he tells us of the world/age that was, is, is to come I know the translations make it sound like he is talking Noahs flood but a deep study of language explain this as a destroying by the heavens/of an earthage which is certainly more than Noahs flood. Dont get me wrong I do not think Hebrew and Greek is neccessary to have faith but I do think if you want to better understand the deeper things of Godyou have to have some idea of the what and who was saying and thinking when they wrote it for example:if you were writing a letter and said You wrote "I saw a really cool car today. And a thousand years from now a person speaking greek only was translating your letter it would read I saw a really cold car today" unless that interpepter understands our slang the sentence is difficult to make sense of this is why when we go to the Hebrew and greek we can often get a better more complete picture of the Word.

That is true that II Peter 3:5-7 at a first glance make it sound like Noah's flood...until someone read II Peter 3:8 with a thought.II Peter 3:8 - But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.Besides, who today is ignorant of Noah's flood?(Kriss)

I am in a full agreement of that Hebrew and Greek is not necessary to have faith...but Hebrew and Greek text knows more than just the translation itself. (English, KJB) We can get a better understanding if we used the original language...Hebrew and Greek...because it can change (somewhat) that someone thought they said at first. And amen!Lovest ye in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.

Kriss,You made a statement earlier that God asked men to do things after the fall in the Garden. Cain was born after the fall!
About Cain after the fall, Jody my point was assuming we all agree that God put Adam and Eve here to multiply and be a line through which Christ would come. Do you think it never would have occurred to God that Adam and Eve's offspring would have no mates? Would God in his perfect world with no sin (yet) have setup these children of Adams up to be forced to sin by committing incest (marrying a sister)? Would not that have made God responsible for causing them to sin? For causing the first sin?So my point is if you understand that God created man on the 6th dayrested on the seventh (remember these are 1000 yr days) then on the 8th dayThen created this speacial man "THE MAN" Adam a line for Christ to come thruthen there would have been plenty of men and women roaming the earth for Adams children to marry.think about it this way assume God put you and your wife on a deserted Island and told you to be fruitful and muliply. But follow my rules and do not sin. Who would your children marry? How could you keep multiplying if there was no one else? Wouldnt you feel there was no way to accomplish Gods order without introducing the Sin of Incest into your Island. Yet you are told not to. Would a perfect all knowing God do this? Put you in a position to fail and if you failed would it be your fault or that your situation created by God forced you to fail?See what I mean Now if you introduce a native tribe to the island your problem would be solved and you could do as God asked your children could marry into the natives no icest and you could keep mutipling. Now in her post Tama said that God has asked us to kill and comit sins my point was that it was not till after Satan had introduced sin into the world and God had created a line of a savior for us. You see God always gives us away out if we take it.

The Bible says clearly that God rested on the 7th day from ALL his works.Genesis 2:1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.Other than inferance, which is fairly shakey, is there any conclusive Bible verse that says God whent back to work after finishing his work?

If that is true, why didn't God ensure that Hebrew and Greek were the most popular languages on Earth in relation to the explosion of the Word across the world? It seems to me that if God wanted His Word spread throughout the world where it would have the greatest impact, and become more available to, and understood by a widespread audience then God would seemingly place His word in the best language for easy understanding.Doesn't that seem logical?

come on RND I said he rested on the seventh just before I mentioned the eighth and right after the sixth.[quote}So my point is if you understand that God created man on the 6th dayrested on the seventh (remember these are 1000 yr days) (quote)Rested doesnt mean he quit. He was following his own law of a day of rest. Then what do you do? go back to work.

As great as the English are, our language is somewhat corrupted, as it is NOT pure. It is not a holy language. Hebrew is the holy language. Interestingly God decided to use the world's language translated from the Hebrew and Greek. Here is two things, 1. Who today is ignorant of Noah's flood?2. Who today is ignorant to the English language?Lovest thou in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

That's not what I was addressing. My specific questions was: "Other than inferance, which is fairly shakey, is there any conclusive Bible verse that says God went back to work after finishing his work?"Do you have an answer to that particular question?

The best language is the Hebrew and Greek.
I think we're having a slight communication issue in that I asked a specific question that somehow you negleted to answer. "Why didn't God ensure that Hebrew and Greek were the most popular languages on Earth in relation to the explosion of the Word across the world?"More Bibles have been printed and distributed in the English language that in any other language....by a wide margin. Therefore, it would seem logical that if the Hebrew and Greek were the best languages for God to communicate in then He would have ensured more Bibles were printed in either of those two languages.Seeing that the English language is the most recognized and widely spoken language in Earth's history it appears God decided that English was the best language to communicate with.

Yes, the English language is the most popular language world wide, while the Hebrew and Greek language are best...like this...English is popular, and Hebrew and Greek is unpopularSatan's lies is popular, and God's Truth is unpopular.Sin/Death is popular and Righteousness/Eternal Life is unpopular.Singing not to the Lord is popular and Singing to the Lord is unpopular.Since when did God became popular? He never became popular at all.P.S. The list goes on. and I don't know why, it is just God decided to use the world's language.Lovest thou in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.

Is the world any different currently as it was when Hebrew and Greek were spoken and used to write the Bible? I mean of the things you mentioned, which things weren't "popular" 2,000 years ago? 4,000? 6,000?Obviously God knows how best to communicate His word and that "best" communication system wasn't the Greek or Hebrew, it was English.

Why would you guys even argue over this? Every language is a 'main language' to someone. If you speak English and not Greek - read English Bible! His word is food for your spirit no matter what language you read it in! I am pretty sure you would find everything you need in English Bible. It was translated and translations had to be approved by authorities. Greek and Hebrew and other languages are great for research and 'deep teaching' but 'truth' - is in any Bible. As long as you're willing to read!!! Comlications make you fall away from truth and become philosophical!

The bible came to us mostly in English, because the King of England excepted Christaianity as the countries religion so they had the bible produced widely because they where a very literate people. God simply used this to distribute His word across the world!

If God created a special race of people as you suggest, how would he cause them to multiply with out breaking his laws, if He was planning on keeping that seed pure! The Law did'nt come to us until Moses! So there were no established laws yet, other than not eating from the tree of good & evil, and ofcourse the laws of sacrificial worship!

Well, the first law was - 'do not eat from the tree of 'knowledge of good and evil' And it was broken! Then Cain killed his brother - again no law was given 'not to kill' But for some reason he (Cain) was hiding from God's face! He didn't say: I didn't know we couldn't kill. He well knew he commited sin. I guess that's what the 'knowledge of good and evil' caused. That kind of shows me that even a person who never read the law - knows when he sins and knows 'right from wrong'!

Um, then what laws, commandments, and statutes did Abraham keep?Genesis 26:5Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Great point RND... When Cain killed Abel - god called it a sin. So, God's law was already there. My opinion is - we carry law inside of us. Knowing good from evil is putting us in front of the choice to sin or not to sin. If Cain didn't know murder was a sin - he would not run and hide from God after killing Abel. I think God could not rely on people using their inner knowledge of good and evil - so he put it before their eyes!!! - the law given to Moses!

We can look at it this way.A mother can tell her young toddler, "Stay out of the cookies!"She can come back a few minutes later to find all the evidence of the missing cookies on the child's shirt and face."Did you take the cookies?""No!"Our children and us are born with a propensity to sin and break the commandments of God, not because of anything God has done, but because of Satan's lies.He told the first lie in the Bible and folks have believed it ever since. Sin is death and sin is separation. The gap can only be bridged by our acceptance of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
