That's not what I was addressing. My specific questions was: "Other than inferance, which is fairly shakey, is there any conclusive Bible verse that says God went back to work after finishing his work?"Do you have an answer to that particular question?
RND I agree we have a slight comunication promblem you didnt ask a question you simply stated "On the seventh day he rested". How am I supposed to get your question out of that staement?
smile.gif
Guess we will have to try harder. So you would believe is has been kicking back for some 6000 years? He has obviously been at work sense the 7th day of rest and still is. Have you read of Gods work anywhere? I would suggest you try a little book called the Bilble:) (Not meaning to sound condesenting RND my sense of humor is at work today)Let me ask all of you a question If God rested on the seventh day, So we know he follows the law of a day of Rest When is the next time he rests?

Um, I clearly asked this question: "Other than inferance, which is fairly shakey, is there any conclusive Bible verse that says God went back to work after finishing his work?"at the bottom of this post: #125
So you would believe is has been kicking back for some 6000 years? He has obviously been at work sense the 7th day of rest and still is.
You mean creating things like earth and man?
Have you read of Gods work anywhere? I would suggest you try a little book called the Bilble:) (Not meaning to sound condesenting RND my sense of humor is at work today)
So, apparently is your sense of obfuscation. Are you going to show me one reference to the question I asked or are you just going to ignore it through your "humor?"
Let me ask all of you a question If God rested on the seventh day, So we know he follows the law of a day of Rest When is the next time he rests?
Answer my question first and then I'll answer this one. Remember, I'm looking for a specific Bible verse that shows God went back to work after creation.

Rested on the seventh dayAnd Started The new Job The way to our salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. So again I ask when is his the next day of rest?

Amen Kriss. Since then - He's been at works every day! All thru out the Bible you see His work. He made the lothes for Adam and Eve after they sinned! he had to kill an animal to get the skins and make a cloth fro it! Who was the cloud who led Israelis to the promissed land? Who was the 'burning bush'? Who wrestled with Jacob? And so on........ He fouth, he destroyed, he built, he spoke to people, he did all kinds of things since the 'day of rest'.

Why would you guys even argue over this? Every language is a 'main language' to someone. If you speak English and not Greek - read English Bible! His word is food for your spirit no matter what language you read it in! I am pretty sure you would find everything you need in English Bible. It was translated and translations had to be approved by authorities. Greek and Hebrew and other languages are great for research and 'deep teaching' but 'truth' - is in any Bible. As long as you're willing to read!!! Comlications make you fall away from truth and become philosophical!
Dear Tama, I am not arguing with RND...I just simply is stating a truth. If we argue with God, it is worse cause it is His Word. I find it very disturbed to have someone telling us false doctrines and try to make us believe in it. In fact, Lucifer give us "feel good doctrines" yet they are uncomfortable to us that want Him. Truth beats lie everytime, even when the truth goes unpopular.Lovest thou in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.

Sometimes I see what Jesus meant when He said 'you shall be like this child in order to enter the kingdom of God' We complicate things for ourselves so much that we get lost in our own thoughts and weaken our beliefs. Not excluding myself here. If we want to know the truth and ask god to open the truth to us every time we read His word - HE WILL....In any language, in any version of the Bible. Not everyone has enough time or ability to reasearch everything in different languages, and use all the fancy tools. That's why God made sure we had Bibles in different languages.

It's very true that we must have a childlike faith to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:3 - And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.Matthew 18:4 - Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.Don't get me wrong it is so not necessary to have original language to have faith in Lord Jesus Christ. (Yahshua) But it is benefitial, that's all. A very deep study..For this, whatever it is...Let no man deceive you with false doctrines, very disturbed.Lovest thou in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.

amen, tama,I am just happy that I am able to read NIV bible, and I don't let anyone be inferior to anyone of my faith because I don't have scholastical ability to read the original or other difficult versions.

Because I love you all, I love everybody enough to say this that be careful of what some other English Bible says. There is some false doctrines put in there. I know this because I saw it with my own spiritual eyes. But hey, you don't have to take my word for it, all it matters is learning the Word of God. Right?Lovest thou in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.

Nice try. I'll surmise from your lack of being able to the question with a singular scripture verse that you don't have any scriptural support that Adam was made on the eigth day.

Of course not, I never said I did. I have common sense and understand my deserted Island scenario that God would not have put Adam and his offspring into a no win stuation. I also understand that he rested on the seventh day then went to work on The matter of Salvation. You now what to change the question you asked. Which was: (quote) is there any conclusive Bible verse that says God went back to work after finishing his work?"(quote) I give you all of scripture which you cant deny. But instead you create a smoking mirror to avoid answering my question. When does God rest again after the seventh day? So I ask why wont you answer a simple question. I assume it is because the answer would be contrary to what your religion teaches you.So I will answer it.The facts he doesnt say he rests again. Thus proving that a day with the Lord is a thousand years to man as from Adam till now is some 6000 years and the seventh thousand year (day) is after the End. And not untill then will God again rest. For he has been working from the beginning to the End save for on the one day he rested. Rev.21:6 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.

A couple of people have mentioned the gates to the garden of Eden. So I thought I'd throw a question out there:Where is Eden now? Did it grow over and flood out, is it hidden, are the guards still there, were the gates symbolic of lost innocence so still "stand", etc.? What do you all think?

Because I speak 3 languages - I always compare 3 different translations and guess what - they don't always exactly match. I am not saying English or Russian or Ukrainian is the wrong one, but YES, we need to be careful when we are chosing Bible versions. I stick with NKJV All those International, comprehensive, study Bibles aren't translated exactly to the word. They bring same ideas accross, but not exactly how the original wording is.

Yes. I do use Hebrew & Greeg translations, and I read my Russian and ukrainian Bibles too just to see if it gives me more understanding of details on sertain things. But that is only for a deep study, but as far as daily reading - I read a plain NJKV in English or Russian and it is enough to stay alive in His word...

I believe the Garden is in Heaven, because it talks in Revelation that the River of Life would flow from the tree of Life.
And I believe you're right!Just as the temple was patterned after the Heavenly Sanctuary I believe the Garden of Eden was a pattern after the Heavenly.Good point Jody!

I agree. But now that brought up number of questions. This is interesting..... If Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden in Heaven, and sinned while there - what was serpent doing in Heaven? Were Adam and Eve in flesh while there/before they sinned? The gates are now guarded - why? No one would has access to Heaven anyways.
