I'm wanting to be as respectful as I can these days, 1st Century. I've ripped enough people apart in my time, and likely may have to again some day if necessary. But I'm just wanting to have a peaceful discussion this time.

Btw, you wouldn't happen to be Sophie T over at Christian Chat, would you? : ) No big deal if so, but let's just say I prefer getting along with you the way we do here, Lol.

Nope, I'm not her. But I like the name, Sophie.

As I recall, you were the one who told me about this forum from ChristianCafe. Or maybe it was CARM.

What does Sophie believe that made you think I was her?

FYI, Sophie T @ CC is the same member there who was once known as 7Seasrekeyed, and DControversial.

God didnt know 6000 years ago who would be repentent today. He would not say that he desires all to repentence. 2Peter 3:9 is clear on that matter. It would be a deception if he already knew who would repent. The door was opened to all by Jesus sacrafice, But they must meet certain requirements and any can, but unfortunately Few will. So its your teaching that is erred.

Actually He did know who would answer His drawing. That is called His "foreknowledge." The word omniscience - all knowing - would be wrong if He "didn't know."

1. Regarding Himself, this is what His justice, which like everything else about Him is perfect, demands, and He cannot compromise it, else He compromise His glory and even Himself. And that He will not do. He says the wages of sin is death (Romans 6). Someone has to pay these wages and satisfy God's justice. This, among other things, is essential to the majesty and the splendor ~ the glory ~ of God.

2. Regarding all His creation (us), everyone ~ everyone ~ is deserving from birth, because of his or her sinful nature, which is inherited by us from, and imputed to us through, Adam, of this damnation.

Ok, but now for starters, this is switching your position from predestining some for Hell because it brings Him glory to predestining some for Hell because He cannot compromise His glory, which is a slightly different argument.

But here would be my response to your argument: He is our Creator, and scripture says that He created us according to His good pleasure. If He created us all in a state of deserving Hell, and most are indeed going there when they die, this implies that it is His good pleasure to see the majority of us spend ages suffering in torment. This again isn't an argument I can embrace.
See above, and especially Isaiah 55:8-9. Hard as it may be, I would say we just have to accept it.

:) But you see, we don't have to accept it if we interpret the passages that deal with predestination as having more to do with our earthly lives than with our eternal salvation. My response whenever someone falls back on Isaiah 55:8-9 as a support for their argument is simply this: Why would He give us a Bible if He did not want us to understand His ways. :)

But I appreciate your polite responses. In order to debate if various passages are talking about the predestination of one's earthly circumstances or the predestination of his eternal state in the next life, we'd have to go through them all individually one by one, and I'm not sure if that would do us much good if we are both predisposed to interpret them a certain way. We can try if you wish, however.

God bless
- H

As I recall, you were the one who told me about this forum from ChristianCafe. Or maybe it was CARM.

What does Sophie believe that made you think I was her?

She was using a raccoon avatar very similar to the ones you use, and she's Charismatic. But she was much nastier than I recall you ever being. I was like, "Wow... is 1st Century having a really bad day, or what?!!" LoL.

It eventually got so bad I told her she was a petulant little child, and that I was everywhere, and would be informing people elsewhere that there's a member over at Christian Chat named Sophie T, and that... well, you get the picture. Looks like it's coming to pass now, cuz my memory is long. But I'm very glad if it wasn't you. Didn't seem like you. :) And even if it was, not the end of the world. I was just hoping we'd get back on good terms again, because that situation didn't end so very well.

Well, I'm happy to say my fruit of the Spirit in that area has grown by leaps and bounds since I first got on any Christian forum about a decade or more ago. The forums are a great place to grow in that area.

My Avatar can be found online. That's what I did because I've been feeding raccoons for over 20 years.

That may have been because 7Seas was-is also the self-identified, staff member, Administrator, "Idiot in Chief", known as Once fallen. When you refer to 1stCL and similar profile pictures, years ago similar profile pictures were the dead giveaway for members who noted Once fallen and 7Seas both had Husky dog profile pics.
When someone whose name I can't remember now, brought that up on a review site that was also posted by link in PM's to many members attention, 7Seas and
Oncefallen changed those photos at the same time. lol Which proved the point.

Aren't they, though! LoL.

When I first joined CF, it wasn't long before I manifested what an angry, ill-tempered cur I could be. Threatened to follow this one guy around all over the forum to expose what a theological fraud he was, like no matter where he was posting and no matter what subject. I eventually got my third warning for being even more sarcastic to an atheist than he was to me, which someone didn't like, because I then got a one month ban and found my way here. I still prefer being able to speak my mind, because sometimes people really do just need to be put in their place, and crying "Mommy" to the moderators all the time just isn't my thing.

But yeah, I'm much better now, too, or at least I believe myself to be. I've gotten used to a lot of the tactics now. Nothing surprises me anymore, or at least almost nothing.

I've told @amadeus on occasion that I want to be a patient, pleasant, amiable old geezer like he is someday.

He's like my idol in that department, Lol. :p

Well that would explain some things... I had another sister post me in private afterwards, and tell me Sophie was like that with others as well....

Well I hope you're not right, because that would taint the place pretty badly if so. There were some good people I met over there, but if management are the worst examples of them all, it can't make for a good situation ultimately...

Thank you very much for the heads up. :) I wandered back over here afterwards, and haven't felt any leading to go back there until now. Maybe that's why.

I'm right. You'll have to trust me on that since I can't reveal more for personal reasons.

It's better I find to avoid CC if you've experienced what goes on there first hand.

No where in the bible does it say God is omniscience. It would be wrong to let all the suffering occur if he knew from the beginning.

Yes, @amadeus is a jewel.

Do you ever watch Sid Roth's It's Supernatural. I know some don't like him, but God has spoken to me so often since I asked Him to teach me the meaning of His Word, and immediately He started answering that prayer. Wow! Sid Roth has a lot of guests that have come out with their new book on something they've recently learned, and it is funny that 100% of the time, God has already shown my the same thing years ago! But that also proves that his guests are "solid."

Anyway, He had Tom Horn on and he told of an asteroid that is being watched for the last few years or months (however long) that is on a trajectory towards earth and will hit on April 13, 2029! That would be a fulfillment of Revelation 8! NASA and the Pentegon are saying it will be a "near miss" so as to not frighten the public, but I'm excited! And that is why I am very careful in maturing and being diligent to forgive, and as you can agree - act like a Christian! Be "without spot or wrinkle." So, if the Great Tribulation is 7 years, that means the Antichrist will be revealed THIS YEAR! 2029 minus 7 is 2022.

Suffering is for a reason. Obedience is learned through the things we suffer, just a Jesus did.

The world has watched Rev 13 occur for years, so i think we are past Rev 8-- No where does it say the tribulation will be 7 years long.
The antichrist will not be a man. Its the number of a man, it did not call it a man. Number is the key in that sentence.
