The Holy Spirit IN US was not part of the old covenant, only a select few got that blessing then, but it is in the new covenant.
The letter kills but the SPIRIT gives life.

Wow. God established a covenant in order to kill 3000 people. And because it didn't work properly, ie faulty, He had a new one made up that worked just great.
Well isn't that exactly what is stated in the Bible?
For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: (Heb 8:7,8)

Herein lies the perfect example of selective reading. Curtis blamed the covenant itself for 3000 deaths. You agree, claiming the Bible as your proof, but what does the bible actually say? Where did God place the fault and blame? Now. Read it again.

You're absolutely right depending on what you see as 'that first covenant' and what 'the second'. Clever and shrewd you naughty boy.
Jamieson, Fausett, & Brown Commentary says it well:
8. finding fault with them—the people of the old covenant, who were not made "faultless" by it (Heb 8:7); and whose disregard of God's covenant made Him to "regard them not" (Heb 8:9). The law is not in itself blamed, but the people who had not observed it.

But Jesus Died Because God Gave His Only Son and the Son Laid Down His Life Himself for He had the POWER and the WILL, to. CHRIST TRIUMPHED DYING THE DEATH OF DEATH. He didn't triumph because He didn't sin personally - that was matter of fact since eternity for eternity and from everlasting to everlasting.
