When we sin, we hurt inside, whether we are saved or not.I agree that the "gates of hell" is upon the unsaved, except for the "elect" of God as @Lifelong has indicated.

You can die spiritually, but that isn't hell. Hell is for some people after they die here on earth. The more we sin, the more we hurt.
A lot of people would agree with you. I believe, though, that hell is what we go through when we sin. When we repent, that stops. Check out Matthew 4:17.You can die spiritually, but that isn't hell. Hell is for some people after they die here on earth.
Are you in a fiery place that your tongue cannot be quenched. The bible describes hell as just that. A place where you cannot talk to the living. You become a prisoner and cannot leave. Let's not confuse the issue with draw vague conclusions from the bible scriptures. ReadA lot of people would agree with you. I believe, though, that hell is what we go through when we sin. I think the Bible can use symbolism, and our sin can put is in the most awful circustances right here on earth. Are you in a fiery place that your tongue cannot be quenched. To not take the bible literally first causes a lot of confusion. And yes I think sin can cause us a lot of pain and cause others a lot of pain, and suffering, turmoil.I think the Bible can use symbolism, and our sin can put is in the most awful circustances right here on earth.
Great verse there! sums up the Gospel.....They can know that “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
@Lambano Hebrews 11 tells of those who were indeed justified by faith in the OT: an example to us and an encouragement for us to keep 'looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith' (Hebrews 12.2) Who endured the cross for His people and is now seated in glory. You mean the "Great cloud of witnesses" referred to in Hebrews 12:1?
(Actually, another question is whether those who have passed on are conscious of anything until they are resurrected in the New Heaven and New Earth.)
This is like asking how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. What did Paul say about such questions (1 Tim 6:4; 2 Tim 2:23; Tit 3:9)?Can those who did make it to Heaven know if a living family member is/will be saved??
I have a ton of material on this. These are just the few excerpts I could find that I actually wrote down into an old study. But if true, obviously they know who is coming.
There is some obvious symbolism in the Bible. Here is an example:To not take the bible literally first causes a lot of confusion. And yes I think sin can cause us a lot of pain and cause others a lot of pain, and suffering, turmoil.
The good news is that The Holy Ghost comforter should be active in us to give us peace and love when we become a new creature. It may leave for a short time if we sin too much, but we can repent and God might forgive us and bring us the comforter again.
There is some obvious symbolism in the Bible. Here is an example:
Therefore let every one who is godly
offer prayer to thee;
at a time of distress, in the rush of great waters,
they shall not reach him. Psalm 32:6 RSV

Yes evil loves sin and gets pleasure from it. Good learns to hate the master of sin and the sin itself. Mathew 6:24WRONG! The sinner loves his sin! Only those that God has chosen from eternity past before the foundation of the world will hurt inside BECAUSE he knows he sinned against God.

Not sure what you mean, but if you're implying that the devil is the master if evil and sin, then that is incorrect doctrine. The devil is subject o evil and sin just like every other creature. Sin is the master that was implied in that scripture.Agreed. But unfortunately, Matthew 6:24 speaks about the mammon of unrighteousness and is not a reference to the subject at hand.
You don't think that we suffer as a result of our sin, right here in this lifetime?nonsense.
Wrong? You don't suffer after you sin?WRONG! The sinner loves his sin! Only those that God has chosen from eternity past before the foundation of the world will hurt inside BECAUSE he knows he sinned against God.
