44The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and bought that field.Perhaps not Byrd, but some versions do, so when they do, those who love God will prove it to themselves what is really being taught. Jesus said seek and ye shall find, God's truth is out there, but like Jesus' illustration of the pearl of high value, we are expected to work hard to find the answers, and we are assured that if we do, will will find them.
45Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls.
46When he found one very precious pearl, he went away and sold all he had and bought it.
so, im seeing “finding” and no “work,” but funny how the first guy “hid it again,” and the second guy “went away,” huh? anyway imo this is another parable that changes as we change, and the buying and selling part is surely…saying more than we are hearing
