Well, it was a tremendous couple of games today.

Yes, but the ending sucked, LoL.

Just got done watching it, and why Buffalo wanted to play off on the receivers when they needed to preserve a 3 point lead with :13 seconds to go was just unbelievable. Why not just roll out the red carpet, LoL.

Fantastic weekend of football, though. I don't know how next week tops it, although I suppose it's certainly possible.
Also, the weather here gives the Bills an edge ;)

Sorry about your team, Nancy. The way that one ended was like football injustice. And Buffalo was my favorite of everyone left, so I'm kinda bummed out about the ending. But at least you got to destroy New England anyway, LoL. :D

Gotta day, two of the best games in recent memory. Especially KC-Bills.

I don't have a favorite team anymore. I just love to watch a great game between two great teams fighting neck and neck. Steamroller games, where one team trounces their opponent as if playing a HS Jr.varsity team, is always disappointing.

So looking forward to next weekend.:)

Me too. :)

I was thinking when KC was driving to end the game, "Please don't let this end," LoL. I started wondering if they couldn't maybe do some 2 out of 3 series, like they do with baseball and basketball come playoff time, Lol. This year's playoffs are gonna end too soon.

We can say that. The guys that take the impact of tackles regularly are hit with roughly the same type of force experienced in an impact car wreck likely feel differently.

Imagine being in a car wreck that repeats umpteen times in the course of an "hour".

Yes, but they're the most entertaining "car wrecks" on the planet. It'd be like watching Daytona, only if they ran 10 races of about 15 laps each, and everybody went flat nuts for about 20 minutes each until somebody finally came out of it all whole.

They're in the entertainment business, yes? ;)

They are. Yet, I bet the former now deceased player Lyle Alzado would have gladly given a years salary to be healed from his terminal brain cancer and be made whole .

I watch the games now and the underlying awareness of the price these guys are paying and shall continue to pay for the test of their lives, however long that may be, is an issue.

I'm being entertained now by men who sacrifice themselves. Bit like cheering Gladiators as I sit in the colleseum.

Yes, it's bad. But not as bad as it used to be. They keep refining the rules to take away the most dangerous hits, and helmets keep getting safer, and fines keep getting steeper and rules keep getting more strict.

Keep in mind that most of those guys are not just in it for the money. They love the game, and have an exceedingly hard time separating themselves from it when the time comes that they have no choice but to retire. It may be a dangerous sport, but they play a game for a living, and most of them for a whole lot of money at that.

Aww, so sorry you guys...Buffalo always seems to get worse towards the end of the season...and look at how many times they actually made it to the Superbowl in the 90's and...choked.

Can't leave 13 Mahomes 13 seconds. Too much time.

Well Lambano, it may be just us now. Nancy's Bills are out, and I don't think OceanPrayers is a member anymore.

Who you got? I'm taking Bengals and Rams, not cuz I like the Rams but because I like the 49ers even less, and not cuz I'd bet on the Bengals but cuz I don't like KC much.

So I basically have one horse left in this race... for the moment. :)

OceanPrayers has been mixing it up in the political threads. I think I lost a potential friend. :( It was not a good week for me.

I've had the Chiefs from the beginning, and nothing has happened so far (other than 13 seconds of doubt) to change my mind on that pick. I'll admit I was wrong on the Rams. Chiefs-Rams in the Superbowl.
