1. Which sins cause us to lose salvation?
2. If we lose our salvation whenever we sin, and we all sin daily, does that mean we have to be re-saved everyday??

im trying to understand this bizarre belief better.

2 Peter 2:20-22.....
"For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.” (ESV)

Repentance is required for forgiveness. Repentance includes not repeating something that you asked God to forgive. It shows the repentance to be insincere. If you know better, but still sin deliberately, you lose your salvation.

For me, it is about respect. We should obey our parents, the Bible tells us so, and God is our heavenly father. Our parents might turn us out of the house and home for disobedience, and the God of the Bible is very strict with all his commandments. I would rather play it safe. Just my opinion, and anyway, the commandments are for our own good. Do you want to be branded a rebel?

Questions for OSAS deniers.
OP ^

For OSAS ~ do not all stand on the same facts
Against OSAS ~ do not all stand on the same facts

(But yet attempt to debate)

OSAS - IS a man made acronym that BY DEFINITION is DIRECTLY speaking TO: what Jesus OFFERED to all men, that had NOT been OFFERED Before.

WHAT DID JESUS OFFER, NOT BEFORE OFFERED?
~Acceptance of Repentance? Not new, was offered BEFORE.
~Belief and God would be WITH that man? Not new, was offered BEFORE.
~Physically DIE in Belief man WOULD BE SAVED? Not new.

Not new, Not new, Not new......WHAT IS NEW???
* Confession FROM THE HEARTS Thoughts.
* Confession of Repentance FOR HAVING NOT Believed in Lord God
* Confession OF Belief IN God and He whom God Sent IS ONE Lord God Almighty.
* Confession OF Agreement to willingly lay down their LIFE with Jesus In Crucifixion.
* Confession OF Agreement to willingly ACCEPT restoration of their SOUL, (ACT of Gods Spirit/Power), called “SAVING the SOUL IN that man”.
* Confession OF Agreement to willingly ACCEPT circumcision of their HEART.
* Confession OF Agreement to willingly ACCEPT their NEW HEART.
* Confession OF Agreement to willingly ACCEPT Gods Spirit “IN” them.
* Confession OF Agreement to willingly ACCEPT Gods SEED in their new heart
* Confession OF Agreement to willingly ACCEPT Gods SEED to reBIRTH a mans “natural” spirit (mans truth), to Gods “supernatural” spirit (Gods Truth), (ACT of Gods Spirit/Power), called “BORN AGAIN spirit OF that man”.
* Confession OF Agreement to willingly ACCEPT God “WITH” them Forever.
* OSAS....IS Confession of Agreement to ACCEPT ALL OF THAT.....^^
WHICH JESUS CALLED.........CONVERSION.

*********************************************************
WHAT DOES IT MEAN........FOR A MAN.....WHO AGREES
TO: CONFESS........According to Gods OFFERED ORDER AND WAY?

* It MEANS.......that man has exercised his FREEWILL to ACCEPT Gods Offering......OF
* FULL pardon and forgiveness ...... FOR HAVING NOT BELIEVED.
* FULL pardon and forgiveness ...... FOR Having Corrupted his soul (by default of his soul BEING IN His corrupt UN-BELIEVING FLESH BODY).
* FULL acceptance of laying down his BODILY LIFE, in crucifixion with Jesus.
* FULL acceptance of God RESTORING his soul, BACK TO VERY GOOD, (as it was when God Created the man, and MADE the man living with Gods (soul and breath of life).
* FULL acceptance of God QUICKENING the mans natural spirit, to an ever lasting Living spirit, via Receiving Gods SEED.
* FULL acceptance of Gods SPIRIT, “temporarily”... “IN” that man, for the remainder OF that mans “NATURAL” Bodily Life.
* FULL acceptance of Gods SPIRIT (ie GODS POWER) IN that man, WILL KEEP THAT MAN .......
..FROM all evil (spirits);trying to Convince that man to turn from God
..FROM all wickedness of (men);trying to Convince that man to turn from God
..EVER AGAIN SINNING....WHICH IS PRECISELY...NEVER AGAIN BEING ABLE TO STAND AGAINST GOD IN DISBELIEF IN GOD.

WHAT IS TURNING “AWAY” FROM GOD?
* Believing, THEN REJECTING.
* WITH GOD, THEN NOT WITH GOD
* WITH GOD, THEN AGAINST GOD

WHO CAN ..
* Believe, THEN REJECT?
* Believe, Be WITH God, THEN Not Believe, and NOT BE WITH God?
* Believe, Be WITH God, THEN Not Believe, AND BE AGAINST God?
ANY MAN, WHO....is keeping himself IN BELIEF, by his OWN willpower

** A man Wiggling BACK and FORTH....believing, rejecting, believing, maybe, unsure, believing, hear this Word of God, makes sense, sounds good, go along, then hear that Word of God, uh, um, doubt, unsure, maybe.....
IS ....... NOT a man having followed God ORDER or WAY.....to RECEIVE Gods GIFT OF CONVERSION!

** Point being.....men IN Scripture, men IN this world, claiming BELIEF....
claiming being Water Baptized....claiming Saved....claiming to be a Christian....claiming to be a “true” Christian....blah, blah.
IS NOT a man Claiming ..... Having BECOME Converted.
ALL ^ VAGUE terms men use, that can mean anything to anyone.

* Jesus set the Standard, the Requirement......in a word; CONVERTED.
CONVERTED.....IN......Christ.

OSAS, IS an express reference, to having become CONVERTED IN CHRIST...
ACCORDING TO Gods Express ORDER and WAY.

@Lifelong_sinner ......says SAVED, yet continues to sin.~ I DISAGREE
@kcnalp ....says SAVED, yet can become UNSAVED.~ I DISAGREE

No, a man DOES NOT become CONVERTED.....then UNCONVERTED.
(Not one scripture reveals, God forgiving a man for disbelief, then unforgiving the man, unsaving a saved soul, unquickening a quickened spirit, uncircumcising a circumcised heart.

Men Lose their Salvation by NOT ACCEPTING “THEIR” Salvation, that the Lord bought and paid for expressly FOR THEM.

No, a man DOES NOT become CONVERTED....the WHILE Gods Holy Spirit IS IN THAT MAN.......EVER “STAND AGAINST” GOD....WHICH IS precisely SIN.

Men confusing WHAT SIN IS....(pretending SIN is “man against man”, and that men have authority to FORGIVE SIN, when they DO NOT).
SIN IS DISBELIEF IN GOD......
When you preach, YOU ARE CONVERTED>>>>>AND continue to SIN...
You ARE preaching....Gods SPIRIT IS IN YOU....WHILE you are STANDING IN DISBELIEF IN GOD!!! IMPOSSIBLE!
.....READ IT! (1 John 3:9)
1 John 3:
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Man AGAINST God.......IS Disbelief in God.....IS SIN, IS AGAINST God...
Man AGAINST Man.......IS NOT a SIN....Men DO NOT COMMIT a SIN for NOT Believing IN MEN!
Men have not the power or authority TO FORGIVE SIN.
Men do not COMMIT a SIN, for lying to a man, cheating a man, stealing from a man, blah, blah.....Those are TRESPASSES of MEN AGAINST MEN....
Deal with it.....ask and give forgiveness for trespassing behaviors “between men.”
YOU might be forgiven by an other for your Trespass...you might not...
The Consequences doled out by the other for your Trespass Against THEM...YOUR choice to Trespass...Your consequence is your burden.
.....Gal 6:
[5] For every man shall bear his own burden.

OSAS......is having become CONVERTED....
The CONVERTED.....”ARE MADE sons of God”...

* men “MADE” (by the power of God)...”sons of God”....
Can never AGAIN, SIN AGAINST GOD.
Can never AGAIN, BE WITHOUT GOD.

Saying you can BE CONVERTED, then become UNCONVERTED;
IS FALSE.

Saying you can BE CONVERTED, and CONTINUE to SIN AGAINST GOD;
IS FALSE.

Saying you can FORGIVE men OF SIN;
IS FALSE.

Saying you ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, while making claims pursuant to the LAW.
IS FALSE.

I thank OSASers for saying I can NEVER be lost. Wish I could say the same about OSASers.

Written to Christians:
Romans 11:22 (NKJV)
22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

1. Which sins cause us to lose salvation?

Any sin a Christian will not repent of, 1 John 1:7-10; Luke 13:3

Lifelong_sinner said:
2. If we lose our salvation whenever we sin, and we all sin daily, does that mean we have to be re-saved everyday??

No, the Bible does not teach that idea.

Luke 1:6
"And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless."

John's parents were "blameless" but that does not mean they were sinless. Even though they sinned God still saw them as "righteous" because they continued to obey God by "walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord". In Romans 4, Paul quoting David says to such faithful obedient people God will not impute sin. Though the Christians sins, but as long as the Christian continues to walk in the light (1 John 1:7) the Christian's sins will all be cleansed away therefore his sins are not imputed to him/does not lose the promise of salvation. Therefore the idea the Christian loses the promises of salvation each time he sins then needs to be 're-saved' is not found in the Bible.

Im still not seeing direct answers to my questions, but mainly the issue of OSAS deniers i have is that either they deny they ever sin anymore or they directly lie about repentance.
Is it really so hard to admit that you sin daily???

See post #9

Christians do sin (1 John 1:8-10) the issue is does the sinning cause the Christian to lose his salvation each time he sins and the answer is "no". Even though the Christian sins daily, as long as he continues to walk in the light ALL his sins he commits are cleansed away, not imputed to him.

1. Which sins cause us to lose salvation?

Never read Hebrews where it talks about how there is no sacrifice for those who spurn the sacrifice of Jesus once accepted?

2. If we lose our salvation whenever we sin, and we all sin daily, does that mean we have to be re-saved everyday??

No. Many people go longer periods of time than a day being damned, self-incriminated.

To answer your questions directly, Scripture is explicit; blasphemy against the Holy Spirit of God cannot be forgiven and your questions are infringing on blasphemy IMO.

Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom and your questions do not convey fair but contempt for the gift of salvation.

im trying to understand this bizarre belief better.

Given that is true, let me ask you a few questions.
  1. What do you make of Jesus saying not all that call me Lord! Lord! will be saved?
  2. What do you make of Jesus saying salt that no longer works shall be thrown out and vines that no longer produce fruit will be cut and thrown into the fire?
  3. Do you think the gates of heaven could be breached by lip service; people claiming Jesus as their Savior but do not have the divine Spirit within, sinning with impunity all the rest of the days of their life?

Wholeheartedly agreed. But you're making the very point that you're trying to argue against. Which is, quite frankly, incredible. But so be it. Salvation, once given, cannot be lost, because it's God, not we ourselves, who maintains it in us:

"He Who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ" (Philippians 1:6).

He will. Not "He might," but He will. He is faithful.

Even though the Christian sins daily, as long as he continues to walk in the light ALL his sins he commits are cleansed away, not imputed to him.
Right, and the Spirit makes this a reality. He "keeps us from stumbling" so that, eventually, we will be "present(ed) blameless before the presence of His glory..." ~ to Jesus, at the day of Christ (Philippians 1:6, cited above) ~ "...with great joy," as Jude puts it (Jude 24).

Grace and peace to you.

Who knows what you Believe or IF you “ARE” Saved?
The only one who KNOWS what they Believe, KNOWS if they “ARE” Saved...
IS God Himself and the Individual person.

1 Cor 2:
[11] For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Luke 16:
[15] And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

OSAS; Saved and Born Again; Converted........are all reverence’s to a revealing of an Individual ABOUT HIMSELF...that he has Accepted and Received Gods Conversion IN Christ, BEFORE the Individuals Physical Death.....AND TRUST God IS Faithful and Fulfilled what He Offered according to Gods ORDER and WAY.

IF ^ that Does NOT Apply to you, that is simply you sharing you have not Accepted or Received Gods offering of Conversion IN Christ.
^ THAT has ZERO effect on a Converted Person, whose TRUST is on Gods Power “IN” them.

It’s not so much about sin, as it is unbelief.

All sin has been eradicated and taken care of by Jesus. Though our natural inclination is to sin until we realize the truth about Yeshua. Being born again our desires change to seek heavenly things, though we do still make mistakes. God still loves us.

(There are more biblical references that helps people become dead to sin ; hate, greed, lust, envy and the like by making their spiritual inner person grow as the grow and have relationship with God praying and reading the word).

Can a Christian be a believer and turn from God? What does the Bible say about this?

A warning from Hebrews indicated for people to be careful, to become unbelieving. Hebrews 3:12.

We read the same Bible.
But now we have New Age beliefs and part of that is OSAS....a new belief.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say anyone can lose their salvation. Nor does it say, don't worry about sins you are guaranteed heaven.
Now Paul says that there are things we can do that we can be severed from Christ and fall from Grace.
There are three major list of sins that can prevent us from inheriting the kingdom of heaven.
And there are scriptures that say that there are things we can do or not do that will cause Christ to say to us on Judgment Day... I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. or And these will go away into eternal punishment or the Lake of Fire.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive compensation for his deeds done through the body, in accordance with what he has done, whether good or bad.

The question is not, can we lose our salvation....not be a Christian....the fact is that there will be Christians in hell.

We read the same Bible.
Yes, we do, but we have different understandings of parts of it, and that's the problem. But regarding at least some of the things in the Bible, it really (ultimately speaking) doesn't matter much that there is disagreement. For example:

1. How old is the earth? Is it billions of years old, like many Christians, among them those who would classify themselves as theistic evolutionists? Or is it 6-10,000 years old, as Christians who see macro-evolution is not true and would call themselves "young-earth Christians"? It's interesting to talk about and even to debate from time to time, but does it really matter in the ultimate sense, which side of that fence we fall on? No.

2. Is it valid, Biblically speaking, to baptize infants, or only those who have made a credible profession of faith? In both cases, again, does it really matter in the ultimate sense, which side of those fences we fall on? No.

3. Is the millennium of Revelation 20 a future period of precisely 1000 years, or have we been in the midst of the millennium since Jesus's ascension 2000+ years ago and all we know about when it will be brought to a close is that it will end when Jesus returns? Again, does it really matter in the ultimate sense, which side of that fence we fall on? No.

The same is true of "OSAS," really. It has been a rather... interesting... :) discussion, but what really matters ~ ultimately ~ is that we will be in the new heaven and new earth in eternity. Right?

But now we have New Age beliefs and part of that is OSAS....a new belief.
It's not new at all. It's as old as the Bible itself. "New Age"... pfffft. No offense, but that's just an ignorant statement.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say anyone can lose their salvation....
Right, agreed, and in fact it says, over and over again in different ways, that our salvation is a work of God that cannot be undone, even by God Himself. I mean, it could, I guess, but God promises not to do that, and all His promises have their 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ.

Nor does it say, don't worry about sins...
Yeah, nobody's saying that, "OSAS" or anyone else. That sin has no consequence is a heresy called antinomianism.

Now Paul says that there are things we can do that we can be severed from Christ and fall from Grace.
Paul (whose words in the Bible were breathed into him by God Himself by His Spirit) says that absolutely nothing can separate Christians (those who are in Christ Jesus, placed there according to the will of God and by the working of the Holy Spirit within us) from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39). And Peter (again, whose words in the Bible were breathed into him by God Himself by His Spirit) says Christians are born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for them, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. I still have yet to hear from any "OSBNR" (Once Saved But Not Really :)) a different, um, take on what Paul and Peter, who together wrote 15 (possibly 16, because Paul might be the writer of Hebrews but we're not sure) of the 27 books of the New Testament in addition to appearing prominently in one other, that being Acts) actually said at least in those two particular instances.

There are three major list of sins that can prevent us from inheriting the kingdom of heaven.
Yes, those things (like the Paul's list in Galatians 5:19-21) are certainly disqualifiers, but he offers these as works of the flesh and contrasts them with the fruit of the Spirit. And what he's saying there is that if you see those things in people and not the fruit of the spirit, then becomes evident that those folks are not saved ~ at least not yet, because they may yet be at some point in the future. And if they continue in those works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit never manifests itself in them and their actions, they will indeed not inherit the kingdom of God. And he states this clearly in verse 24, that those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. But this should not be understood to mean that they are then sinless and thus still in need of Christ and the Spirit, because that would be mere self-deception. Indeed, in the very next verse, Paul exhorts us to live by the Spirit, and to keep in step with the Spirit (rather than the sinful flesh).

And there are scriptures that say that there are things we can do or not do that will cause Christ to say to us on Judgment Day... I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. or And these will go away into eternal punishment or the Lake of Fire.
Yes, undoubtedly, but, well, same as above. These would be people whom Christ never knew (loved),... you even quote Him in that; "I never knew you"... not whom He once (or multiple times :)) knew ~ loved ~ once but then lost fellowship with. Surely you see that.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive compensation for his deeds done through the body, in accordance with what he has done, whether good or bad.
Yes, but no one can stand on his works/deeds alone. The difference is that some ~ those who are in Christ ~ will have an Advocate, Christ Himself, who is God Himself, in Whose righteousness they will stand... and pass. :)

The question is not, can we lose our salvation....not be a Christian...
Right, there is no question that we cannot lose our salvation once it is granted us by God, Who can do all things, and no purpose of His can be thwarted (Job 42:2... on top of the Romans 8 and 1 Peter 1 citations above). The only question ~ and one that we can only answer of ourselves, with the help of the Holy Spirit ~ is, "Am I a Christian?" Or, "am I in Christ?" And this is faith, which is an assurance (Hebrews 8:1) given by God Himself (Ephesians 2:8-10).

...the fact is that there will be Christians in hell.
There will be no Christians (no one who is in Christ) in hell. That supposition or any close to it is utterly ridiculous and false.

Grace and peace to you.

1) only the sin of unbelief can cause you to be removed from the grace of God, and 2) the Bible is very clear that God does not allow a person to get re-saved once they are turned over to their unbelief.

The sin of unbelief.
But, as John tells us, those who don't believe never believed, even those who think they once did believe:

"Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us."

only the sin of unbelief can cause you to be removed from the grace of God...
But, per John's statement cited above, they were never really in the grace of God (in Christ) in the first place.

the Bible is very clear that God does not allow a person to get re-saved once they are turned over to their unbelief.
Sure, but it's never necessary to be "re-saved." Because those who are saved ~ born again of the Spirit and thus of God, and of other believers as John puts it above ~ have received the salvific grace of God and are kept in it by God Himself, because of the Father's will, the Son's work on the Cross, and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in him/her. Yet again, Paul says that absolutely nothing can separate Christians (those who are in Christ Jesus, placed there according to the will of God and by the working of the Holy Spirit within us) from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39), and Peter says Christians are born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for them, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Peter 1:3-5).

Grace and peace to you.

1. Which sins cause us to lose salvation?
2. If we lose our salvation whenever we sin, and we all sin daily, does that mean we have to be re-saved everyday??

im trying to understand this bizarre belief better.

Salvation is a GIFT of SAVING ones soul, unto God....meaning Gods Life (breath) will remain in the soul Forever, and that living soul will remain with God Forever.

As we are in the LIKENESS “as” God...we are made up of;
Body, it’s life is Blood.
Soul, it’s life is Gods Breath, and activated our Body Life...
......blood flows, heart beats, eyes see, ear hear, nose smells, tongue tastes, mouth speaks, flesh feels touch.
Spirit, is the natural truth in a mans heart, that he learns, accepts as absolute truth....
Carnal Mind, thinks, weighs between thought to believe or not, can be devious, and when it acts on deception, causes inter conflict...Hearts thoughts against Minds thoughts.....Conflict...(medical terms, bipolar, anxiety, depression, etc.)

Body’s SHALL DIE...ie blood stops flowing, life ceases, is buried, rots.
Living souls’ depart the dying body...goes to heaven, if saved: goes to hell if not saved. There they wait, for judgement day.
Spirit “born again”, are a mans natural spirit, being “born again”, by supernaturally receiving “the SEED of God” (whose name is Christ).
This “born again” spirit, shall never cease living.
At Bodily death, it departs the body, goes to heaven. Waits Judgement.
....Not saved individual....natural spirit dies with body.

So.....Salvation is the Saving of the soul....BY Restoration, which means, when every soul is given a natural person, that soul is VERY GOOD. As the person grows, hears, does, things....what they do effects the soul. Meaning when the Body sins, the soul in the body, is effected negatively.
(Think yummy punch and toss in a turd....uh ya, effects all the punch).
So......Saving of the SOUL....restoration.....(Pss 23:3) is offered to all men.......WHO BELIEVE IN GOD...IN THEIR NATURAL HEART”S thoughts.

During the 4,000 Years OT, all men who believed........TO THE DAY OF THEIR NATURAL DEATH.......BECAME soul saved at the time of their Death.
THAT has NOT changed... THEY ARE NOT saved, but SHALL BE SAVED....
IF.....they endure (continue) believing to the day they die.
** THAT comes with numerous Scriptural WARNING texts.....There are EVIL roaming spirits ON Earth....There are WICKED men siting in seats of Power and Authority ON Earth.........AND Men who are IGNORANT, BAMBOOZLED WITH crafty schemes, AFRAID...of Power sitters, Bully’s, Army’s sent to over power, etc...WILL quickly Yield to Save their FLESH....”even when they believe” what they are being forced to do, is NOT right or righteous.

WHAT Good is a WARNING, if there is NOT a SOLUTION?
Jesus revealed the SOLUTION....VIA an Offering He bought, paid for, for every single individual person.....A GIFT for every person.

(NOTE ** Jesus’ Gift IS ALREADY FOR every individual ... And LIKE any GIFT, if a man doesn’t TAKE IT, he doesn’t possess the Gift. IF a man doesn’t TAKE his Gift, he looses it. Gifts are not forced on anyone.)

He Offered Gift IS: That By, Through, Of Him....A man WHO believes and HEARTFULLY CONFESSES, their belief IN...
God the Heavenly Father, Jesus the Son WORD of God, and Christ the Power, Spirit, Seed, Wisdom of God.........
THEN.......Shall that SAME MAKE Spiritual Changes WITH”IN” that man.
* Forgive all the sins for having HAD disbelief.
* SAVE -restore the soul to very good.
* Circumcise the heart (give the man a new heart).
* Give that man Gods SEED in his new heart.
* That is the rebirth of a mans spirit.
* Gods Spirit of Truth remain in that man, feeding that man Gods Truth.
