It will be nice to go home when work for God here is finished. Thankfully Jesus did everything thing for us for this cause one can find rest and peace with God. Allowing the now new inwardly dwelling spiritual man or woman to have Christ come through by connection through Yeshua and the Father, by the Holy Spirit of God, and the spirit of Yeshua. Praying and praising with thanksgiving and lifting up others when the chance arises daily, keep faith.

Hebrews 11:1

God bless.

Also this scripture popped in my head as well;
What will we be able to perceive? What do we want? What does God want to show us?

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." I Cor 2:9

Now I am overtired all of the time. When I do sleep it is not a good sleep. Do you suppose that rest for the body and sleep anything like what need and want now, would be a part of the scenario? Boundless, unlimited energy never feeling tired again?

No cement, wires, telephone poles, tv's, macadam roadways, no cars...just His beautiful creation surrounding me...but if I could, it would be a small cottage like house on the beach AND the forest! :D Oh yes, and ANIMALS EVERYWHERE!

And I would love a beautiful garden.
When I was a little girl I had a dream which I was convinced was of heaven and I can still see it in my mind's eye - lush green rolling landscape with lovely flowers and trees. And since becoming a Christian I have had lots more God dreams so it may have been my first.

If I could find the time, Pearl, this is another thing mentioned in several accounts. Every person has their own private garden with a gate, and the combination of flowers, herbs and trees they choose for it is unique to themself. And this is where Jesus sometimes comes and meets with us. For mine, I'm sure I will want a lot of color, and fruit. I'm big on lots of color. Kinda like this...

But with streams and trees in it as well.

Isn't it fun to think about, though? :)

Btw, you'd never guess I was an orderly person if you paid me a visit right now, LoL.
:D You probably have made a mess preparing dinner, or perhaps are surrounded by papers and books?

And then some... :) I have a board game set up on the dining room table that I've been getting creative with in an attempt to "improve" it, so my wife and I can maybe get into some board games a little together again. So right now there's stuff everywhere. Tape, glue, paint, color copies...

And don't even ask me about the room I sleep in most nights. It's like nothing but animals live in there, and none of them know how to pick up after themselves.

Don't you see us as being in constant fellowship with Jesus? Personal, unending?

Well this goes back to my answer with the otter sticking his tongue out (friendly like, Lol). Jesus is a man just like you and I, so His "person" if you will - His individual Presence - will be localized just like with you and I. But His Spirit will permeate everything and everyone in Heaven, for as the scripture says, "In Him we will live and move and have our being." He will abide within all of us, so it's like He will never be gone from anyone, no matter where He is. I believe this may be the Reason for God to dwell in Three Persons, btw. He will always be Present through the Holy Spirit, regardless of where He is or we are, or what He or we are doing.

Have you considered how we live in two places at the same time, celestial and terrestrial? So that while we are in one location terrestrially, this doesn't limit where we are celestially? So that as we sit typing at our computers, we are at the same time seated together in the heavenlies, we are hid with Christ in God. I don't see that changing. I think much different "rules of being" will exist in the eternal realm, and it may be we will each one of us be personally present with Christ forever.

He who overcomes will sit with me on my throne . . . maybe for real?
Much love!

I like this! You're bringing out things I've had many discussions about with a dear friend over the last few years.

So that as we sit typing at our computers, we are at the same time seated together in the heavenlies, we are hid with Christ in God.

Well now, Paul was coupling those who had already gone to Heaven (i.e. the OT saints who were translated from Hades) with those still alive in the earth, to create a theological construct that all of us are essentially now seated with Christ in God because we are all part of His Body, and part of His body already was there and the rest would be eventually.

In Heaven the reality will have come and there will be not more need for theological constructs. But I do think I know what you mean in a way.

Think of it this way. Jesus mentioned, "In My house there are many mansions," and in another place, "Do not store up treasures on the earth, where dust corrupts, and thieves break through and steal." Now what would corrupt if He were not talking about literal dwelling places, and who could enter in and steal if there were no homes to break into?

I do see what you are saying and I’m in no way trying to turn your thread into an debate. Sometimes things about this life are so in your face…like tonight I read about a woman who passed from cancer. Seeing the images before she had cancer and then her photos right before passing, it took my breath away. So I’m not arguing but at the same time I have to ask are you already so resolved you are right? You said “Now what would corrupt if He were not talking about literal dwelling places, and who could enter in and steal if there were no homes to break into?” I could suggest another perspective (not saying it is right but only another perspective) dwelling places could mean the body where one could break in and steal…as in watch, guard, stay awake, be sober? What is being watched or guarded that no one take or steal away?

As far as houses? Why do we build houses? For shelter? If God is shelter,
will there still be a need for a roof and walls to keep out the harsh elements: sun, cold, and rain?

:) Privacy and personal space. Wouldn't it be strange to you if you spent eternity never having a home? I know it would for me. I want a place I can go that I know is my own. You see, part of what makes Heaven so nice is that people respect your privacy, i.e. your space.

Went looking, and managed to find a PDF on this Heaven account, and it relates to what you were saying. I will highlight it when it comes to the section. This is from Roberts Lairdon's I Saw Heaven. He had the experience when he was a boy.

Mansions Are Prepared for Us

As we walked up what looked like an unpaved, dirt path, I saw a gigantic house above the trees. Even now, as a grown man remembering that house, I know that it was a mansion. (John 14:2.) This structure did not just look huge because I was a little boy. Jesus talked to me the whole time we walked up the path toward the house. Jesus is a Person, and you can talk to Him about everyday things. He is our friend, as well as a member of the Godhead Who rules and reigns. We do not have to make a visit to heaven to talk to Him, either! Jesus is with us here on earth. He would never leave us nor forsake us. (Heb. 13:5.) The Trinity—God, the Father; Jesus, the Son; and the Holy Spirit—have emotions. Otherwise, we would not have emotions, because we were created in their image. (Gen. 1:26.) However, unlike most of us, They are not at the mercy of their emotions. They are not ruled by "feelings." They operate by doing what is right to do, regardless of how they feel. So while we have emotions, we shouldn't be ruled by them. When someone hurts our feelings, we get into self-pity, we get angry, and many times, we retaliate in some way. Jesus can be grieved at our attitudes, but He never changes in the way He loves us or treats us. He has no self-pity, no anger on his own behalf, and no retaliation. We were not created to operate in negative emotions. Those became part of us when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and had to leave the Garden of Eden. But we ought to be extremely careful not to grieve Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or the Father, because we love them. There is no way we can love them as much as they love us, but we ought to love them as much as possible.

His love permeated everything Jesus said or did with me during my visit. I will never forget the revelation of what love really is. When we got to the door of this mansion, Jesus walked up and knocked on the door. That is part of love—being considerate of other people's feelings, time, and privacy. People in heaven were very polite. We waited about three minutes, and then He knocked again, before anyone ever came to the door. Then a little gentleman opened the door, stuck his head out, and spoke to us. I did not see anyone just "floating through the walls." He said, "How are you doing, Jesus? And how are you doing, Roberts?" I almost took off running. That man knew my name! I thought, "How does that man know my name? No one but Jesus knows my name up here."

However, I found that everyone we met who talked to us knew my name. The conversations were just as they are on earth. People asked questions and answered them. I looked up at the man in shock, but I answered him politely, as I had been taught, "Well, I'm doing okay." And he invited us inside, so Jesus and I walked in and sat down. Now the couches in heaven are different than here. Earth furniture sometimes becomes uncomfortable. In heaven, comfort finds you. I sat down on a black velvet couch, and comfort reached up and cuddled me. I was so comfortable, I never had to move once. After we finished talking, the man took us through the house. His mansion seemed just like houses on earth, but it was total perfection. The windows had curtains over them. The walls were decorated with paintings, which in this particular house, reminded me of modern art on earth, except better. Also, there were photographs of the man's family members, and there were plants everywhere. In addition, the mansion was filled with beautiful furniture and luxuries. Some things I did not recognize. Each mansion was suited to the person who lived there, for every child of God has his or her own mansion in heaven. (John 14:2.) This one had different rooms, such as dining room, living room, kitchen, den, and so forth. (I am sure there were bedrooms, but I did not go upstairs.) The man gave me a large fruit to eat, that looked something like an apple, and it was very delicious. Afterwards, we said goodbye and left through the back door. I cannot tell you why, but that is the way we went out. There were other people in the house, and they hugged and kissed us before we left.
