Police agencies are using familial DNA that has to be garnered from sites like those in the article, and in order to match DNA found at crime scenes.
Imagine. You're linked to a murderer? How do we find them? How about the names and DNA swabs of everyone in your family so to get to the actual suspect through the process of elimination?
Scary stuff.
I wonder if the COVID swab is used as a DNA collection method? Why wouldn't it be? They swab you, and tell you the results later.
