Okay. Mini rant.

My discernment on this is "iffy". I know what I am hearing but I do not know what to do with it and I don't know how to feel about it, but for the past few days I've been hearing "you need to get involved, you need to help," something about gardening and I'm hearing it brought up over and over and over.

Not like heard it once but over and over and over.

And I argued, "what am I supposed to do"

And I got back, "You could have been gardening from the beginning."

My biggest piece of understanding on this:

I don't want to in here

It is way too small and I don't get how I would plant a garden in a small place, it seems physically impossible unless I built a mini aerogarden knock off and sprouted some sprouts, maybe some herbs.

I don't get it

well I know I am not imagining it, but I have been getting all sorts of things.

the other day, I had a vision of a giant fist punching the rocky earth, and it broke through, and then I saw Jesus grabbing something out of the rubble and he held up an engagement ring and that was it.

Well, I was searching my mind for Biblical "garden" metaphors. In conjunction with the image of barren ground being broken and the image of an engagement ring, I couldn't help but think of the Song of Songs. Song of Songs 4:12-16, for example. Now I'm going to go off somewhere and blush.

LOL

It does bring the blush. :D:D:eek:

Well if anything was Gods plan it would just happen and I don't need to do anything.

Been tested a lot lately I just want to watch something pointless and knit something cute.

Maybe it’s a picture of allowing God to cultivate something in you…..God is the gardener.
Sometimes the first step to anything is to be willing, even if this is about actual physical gardening ( it’s often a picture of cultivating, nurturing through watering, patience and faith in believing something is happening even when it’s not visible, then thankfulness when something appears, nurturing what is growing. It all takes time, faith, patience and commitment )
I read a book once about God being the gardener !!!! Lol

Maybe!

I have to be cautious though. I have gotten a lot of false things to mess with me, so sometimes it is just better to leave it and ask God to deal with it.

But I needed to rant because sometimes I don't know what I am thinking or have any clarity until I get it all out - and I have been holding it all in like a water balloon.

but I'm a leaking water balloon

Interesting point, Rita. Since the whole world is God's Garden, isn't He then allowing us to help with the "gardening" when He assigns us tasks that love and nurture and care for and grow God’s people? Or to spread the seed of the Word on various soils?

Ohhhhhhhhhh.....

and I told God I wasn't going to say anything anymore on account of being a woman.

I was saying to my youngest right before I read this "can you tell mommy 'you're a good teacher'" and I thought "what a weird thing to say about myself, why am I saying that?"

then read your post a minute later

messing with my head a little bit

It starts with this fluffy....first you've got to have a hat on, then you gotta hold your hand in front of your mouth just so....then you need to look out from under the rim of the hat with one eye in a wondering sort of way....that's the first three steps. Now there are twenty seven others starting with searching the web for indoor gardens preferably vegetables of some description......and bingo the ball's rolling. Now a good dose of enthusiasm will be helpful coupled with some application......ohhh, and the cats, yeah, well, yer gonna need to find a solution for the cats ....just don't put 'em in the soup!.. o_O

Hi Fluffy,
I don't know if you have a porch or a deck, a patio or a back yard, but you can always start an outdoor winter garden now.
I take an empty gallon water jug, cut around the middle, fill with potting soil. Plant seeds according to directions, water. Leave cap off for ventilation.
Tape the top of the jug to the bottom so no air gets in. Then place outside, anywhere. Even in the snow.
Come spring time the seeds will germinate themselves and you will have started a mini garden.
Last year I grew lettuce, green beans, green onion, chives, oregano, parsley and catnip.
I tried other things like summer squash and tomatoes and cucumbers, but I only have 1/2 a green thumb.
It was my first year trying it.
I am getting ready to do it again in February.
If they are outside the cats won't bother them.
I have 8 indoor myself, so plants in a house don't work too well.

Start small with some early spring flowers.
I order my seeds through Burpee online.
Gives me something to look forward to after a long cold winter.

Hugs
or check this out, I thought it was cool. :D
you can do this with your kids.

I tried to find the book I had read, but it was years ago and I cannot remember the author. It very much revolved about God bringing changes within us, I guess along the same lines as the potter and the clay and the vine and the fruit. …..the days of me rem erring everything I have read are fading, but I do know that the book helped me to understand the nurturing, cultivating and pruning within my own life.

So I'm on a roll then? :D:D

Well I'll tell you all this much.

After making breakfast, washing a load, giving my boy a haircut, kids cleaned up, dishes, beans ready for chili and cornbread tonight, floors done, and still need to clean out the microwave, make a batch of carrot Kimchi, and the kids lunch, feed the sourdough, clean the pantry ...

I took one thought about just putting some water over lentils for sprouts and thought "no".

How can anyone
Not nap at 1 pm after all this
