This is not true. Jesus will come and show himself to EVERYONE with great power and glory "WITH HIS HOLY ONES" (please see Zach. 14 and 1 Thessalonians 3:13). So Jesus must have to come BEFORE that for his "holy ones" whoever they are, right? Don't these saints need to receive fall salvation first according to 1 peter 1:5? Don't they need to have their sins fully removed, be empowered, and be gathered together some way?
Also great passage you quoted, but PLEASE don't forget about the FIRST WORD of that quote!!! If you read the context you'll see that Jesus was talking about once the Antichrist sits in Jerusalem and claimed himself to be God, then AT THAT TIME if anyone tells you etc etc! Because AT THAT TIME the mark of the beast would be instituted and antichrist will claim to be God. HAS THAT TIME COME YET??
Here is where we are right now!
Matthew 25,
[sup]1[/sup] “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. [sup]2[/sup] Five of them were foolish and five were wise. [sup]3[/sup] The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. [sup]4[/sup] The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. [sup]5[/sup] The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. [sup]6[/sup] “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
[sup]7[/sup] “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. [sup]8[/sup] The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
[sup]9[/sup] “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
[sup]10[/sup] “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
[sup]11[/sup] “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
[sup]12[/sup] “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
[sup]13[/sup] “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
I keep watch for my Jesus, sure. But that man is nothing more than satan's tool in the world. He is nothing like Jesus.
The day I accepted Jesus into my heart I received the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit being part of the Trinity, don't you think it would speak to believers if the Christ had returned for them? Well, I believe He has, and your INES gives me the creeps. As John says:
26 I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. 27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him. (1 John 2:26-27 ESV)
John also tell us to "test the Spirits", to see if what these false people are saying are in line with scripture. And by that I don't mean, these people manipulate scripture to support their claims. What this INES claims is all just hearsay and wild speculation. You say he must be a god because he is teaching others to be god?? Wow, you must be right, that proves without doubt the man is a deity. This man claims everything he says is the truth...mate, any wack job can do the same, and in fact they do. We have a dude in Australia who claims he is the reincarnation of Jesus. He says when he remembered his past life he divorced his wife and left his kids....cause that's what Jesus was all about last time. PEOPLE LIE. It's what they do and the higher the stakes, the bigger the lie. Claiming to be god is about as big a lie as it gets. As far as his claiming to bring heaven to earth and removing death, I'm sorry, do you really believe this?? Even if satan has bestowed this man power to work miracles to deceive others, there is no way, even in his little fantasy world, that he can do either of these things. When it all comes down to it, there is zero proof for this man being Jesus. It is nothing more than his unsubstantiated claims, and those of people clearly under his influence. Jesus never made a claim He did not back up. Big difference.
As far as my "misunderstanding" the Matt 24 text in regards of timing, well, it's ridiculous. Even if that passage was specifically talking of the time when Antichrist sat in the temple, don't you think it's still sound advice? Or do you think Jesus is okay with us being deceived all the other times? That if the antichrist is not in the picture, any tom, dick or harry claiming to be Jesus is acceptable to follow?
Besides, the Olivet discourse is full of warnings of false christs, not just that passage. Lets see:
[Signs of the Close of the Age]
[3] As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and
what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?” [4] And Jesus answered them,
“See that no one leads you astray. [5] For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.
(Matthew 24:3-5 ESV)
[11] And
many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
(Matthew 24:11 ESV)
The intent of all these verses, and the rest as well, is quite clear. The patient, but faithful servant will be saved. Not the ones who are foolishly taken in by false christs, not the ones who in their eagerness to have Christ back will follow anyone who claims to be god. No, the Christians who know Jesus will return at an unexpected moment to take them home, those who work and love diligently to further the gospel and the Kingdom, they are the ones to whom Jesus will say, "well done, good and faithful servant.'
Brother, you are being led horribly astray. You have been deceived in the worst way and even now your true Saviour is calling out to you. Don't follow a wolf into darkness. Pray. Really pray about this, and the Holy Spirit will show you the truth. It's not too late for you.
