WHY would HE . her husband was dead . Thus he could remain in the marriage .
See the simplicity of JESUS who first said , HE who puts away HIS wife and marrys another .
And then we would see scrips more clearly . I notice that when people dont want to let go of something
they are often led to a wrong understanding .
But in the case of david . HE was free to be with her due to she no longer had a husband .
Of course the murder David did , well lets just say the sword never left his house .
That thing truly did displease GOD . But David did repent . And the sword never left his house either .
BUT GOD was with HIM . But take note , The husband was dead . As we all know
if any spouse dies one is free to remarry that spouse . But not so long as her husband liveth .
Uriah was dead . I hope that sinks in real good . Cause JESUS will not contradict his word for this generation .
A word paul knew well . SO then she that be married to another man , WHILE HER first husband liveth
WILL be called an ADULTERESS . Paul knew , they all did . Let us never give people false hope .
Let the WORD of GOD convict them . THUS try reminding with JESUS words and not the thoughts of men .
Be encouraged Curtis . But i am a great lover of the things JESUS taught . The glorious truth .
THE TRUTH shall set one free . OH what great beauty and soul cleansing can be found in the Words of our LORD .
IF ONLY the CHURCH would have taught HIs teachings , IF ONLY . Be encouraged .
It’s only adultery the first time they have sex - it’s not continuous adultery.

You are among those acting like divorcing and remarrying wrongly is an unpardonable sin.

Let me get 5his straight - you’re saying if a man and woman divorce and remarry wrongly, have children, and become a family, they can’t just repent of it when they realize they did it wrong, but must break up their marriage and home to make it right?

That is absolutely erroneous, and a travesty that people actually believe that.

Biblically, Israel is the Promised Land...not the US.
The promised land ultimately is the Earth made new of which the land Palestine/Israel is a shadow or a type.
The word 'Israel' means overcomer....it is also a type for God's people (jews and gentiles)
In Revelation in the message to the Churches it concludes, 'to him who overcomes...'

It's high time we abandoned the short sighted narrow view that Christendom in general has adopted, ie, Israel and the Promised land comprises of a limited geography and a particular ethnicity.

Although you're probably right divorce is a serious sin:

John the Baptist knew that.

According to the New Testament, John was sentenced to death and subsequently beheaded by Herod Antipas around AD 30 after John rebuked him for divorcing his wife Phasaelis and then unlawfully wedding Herodias, the wife of his brother Herod Philip I. Josephus also mentions John in the Antiquities of the Jews and states that he was executed by order of Herod Antipas in the fortress at Machaerus.

Nope . it remains if one put away his wife , or is a woman put away her husband and REMARRIED ,
saving for the cause of fornication , or death , ITS adultery so long as the other spouse liveth .
And whoever marries the husband or the wife that was put away , comitts adultery .
Lets stick to what JESUS taught and be made wise unto the truth .

I'm not blind of, nor ignoring the types and shadows ....but still, those instructions were given to the people entering the physical Promised Land at that time. When Jesus came, He brought in a new covenant. The law is written on the heart, and when we miss the mark, we repent and ask forgiveness.... we don't go around stoning people.

That ol fox dove head first at what i can only guess was a mouse or rodent of sorts .
That is how lambs are supposed to dive right into that bible . head first and with all our hearts and minds , loving
every word in it . Oh the beauty of the truth . Let all that name the glorious name of JESUS
depart from a compromised table and just learn Christ . And let all that draws breath praise the glorious wonderous Lord .
Feasting daily upon the wonderful scriptures .

Yep, because the king had not repented of it.

, IT is the HOLY GHOST that truly does work to correct all .
Its just that this generation has forgotten that THE SPIRIT works through men . Let that one sink in .
warn and remind is must . I must heed the SPIRIT and exhort always as i am led to do so .
The truth is , that most folks dont like the reminders i bring , cause perhaps it does indeed prick their conscious .
Perhaps they dont like the idea of being corrected or out of love having to correct others .
Me thinks people love and enjoy this idea that has been sold unto the churches . But it is super deadly .
And that idea is this , OH LIVE and let live , dont judge and whatevre you do dont correct , let GOD do it .
WHEN IN TRUTH its the SPIRIT of GOD working through some of us to do as The SPIRIT bids us to do .
Ever wonder why paul got so stirred up when he saw idolatry . Betcha the SPIRIT of the HOLY ONE
that was in HIM stirred him up and what did IT have paul to do , WELL CORRECT .
I am not the monster men think i am , NOR will i ever stop exhorting nor reminding . We already have
pulpits full of men who wont warn , wont correct , and look at what that has done to their churches . LEAVEND them full .
I love you my friend , but i wont be following the pattern of todays many churches . Cause it dont WORK , it destroys .
Be encouraged . But I must do as i am led to do and out of great love i must warn and exhort , encourage and speak the truth .
Many misguided people claim to be guided by the Holy Spirit, that’s why we’ll just have to look at the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Most people who are occupied with correcting people, really just want to establish dominance and hierarchy. It‘s usually not love but a self serving act. I don’t disagree that it’s great to guide someone and that we shouldn’t be silent when it comes to right and wrong. We should leave no space for hypocrisy however.

If our sins are removed, then why do we keep repeating them over and over again?

BECAUSE, only in our spirit essence when first we have become saved, NOT in our bodies that still lusts after sin, until it is resurrected on the last day then will we be with Christ.

Read Romans Chapter 7 in its' entirety.

Romans 7 is Paul’s state before he was converted and born again, Romans 8 is part of that narrative, and it’s Paul’s state after salvation.

So tell me, if Paul had died as a child after Romans 7 [which you claim he was still unsaved], and before Romans 8 was penned, would he go to heaven or would he await judgment day then put to hell?

You have a very strange double speak about the ten commandments.

And you've also rescinded the idea that America would best be served were it a Christian nation and its people prosecuted under God's laws.

Well as I hold to New Testament law and not teh Old Testament laws, I believe any nation would be blessed if it followed a godly path. that does not mean it has a special covenant with god like Israel, just that there is blessing in doing righteousness.

Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

And no it is not double speak, but bible speak.

Are you referring to Babylon in those chapters being a reference to America?
No, the USA is identified by the king of the north who goes into Babylon with many other nations to heal the land instead of destroying it. Remember that the Land of Babylon was desolated and devastated around 120 BC by the Eastern Grecian Empire (Jer. 50:39*)who had at that time dominion over the land of Babylon and that it lay desolated and devastated for two ages, i.e. for just over 2,000 years before it was remembered once more before God by treaty in 1926.

Mandate for Mesopotamia[edit]
Main article: Mandate for Mesopotamia
Mosul was allocated to France under the 1916 Sykes-Picot Agreement and was subsequently given to Britain under the 1918 Clemenceau–Lloyd George Agreement. Great Britain and Turkey disputed control of the former Ottoman province of Mosul in the 1920s. Under the 1923 Treaty of Lausanne Mosul fell under the British Mandate of Mesopotamia, but the new Turkish republic claimed the province as part of its historic heartland. A three-person League of Nations committee went to the region in 1924 to study the case and in 1925 recommended the region remain connected to Iraq, and that the UK should hold the mandate for another 25 years, to assure the autonomous rights of the Kurdish population. Turkey rejected this decision. Nonetheless, Britain, Iraq and Turkey made a treaty on 5 June 1926, that mostly followed the decision of the League Council. Mosul stayed under British Mandate of Mesopotamia until Iraq was granted independence in 1932 by the urging of King Faisal, though the British retained military bases and transit rights for their forces in the country.

* My understanding of this verse is that it should be paraphrased in this manner: -

39 "Therefore the wild desert beasts shall dwell there with the jackals,
And the ostriches shall dwell in it.
Nor shall it be inhabited
no more forever/for a long period of time beyond our comprehension,
Nor shall it/It shall not be dwelt in
from generation to generation/for two ages.

Shalom

I can see you believe that. However, I think you are not all that familiar with the ten commandments and the body of the church as Jesus intended in his mission when you divide moral behavior between an old covenant, and the new.

Are you someone who believes in replacement theology?

Not even close! replacement theology is a major heresy of covenantal theology that has done grave harm to peoples understanding of Scripture.

To God Be The Glory

The Scriptural answer to your theoretical question is that he would await judgment day then go to hell. If anyone hasn't accepted Jesus as your Savior that is where they are going.
