Hi,I was reading a teen abstinence website and they were talking about how people who have had sex before marriage can repent and stay abstinent until marriage and reclaim their virginity. Has anybody heard of this before? I don't really understand and if someone could explain it to me it would be nice. I'm confused because I think you can only be a virgin once. Also, what do Christians think about sex? Is it all Christians who believe it is wrong to have sex before marriage, or just certain groups? I wonder because I've met some Christians at my church who seem very excited about knowing God but who also have sex with the people they are dating and say it's no big deal because they will get married someday. Just kind of confused about it all because I'm very new to the faith.ThanksFalyne

You can never become a virgin physically once you have sex Falyne. What they are speaking of is if you repent for having sex,(now by repent you must truly mean and be sorry for your actions) and reaffirm your comittmentto follow in Gods way. God not only forgives you but wipes your slate cleanthat is the sin is forgotten as if it never happened. thus you can become a virgin spiritually speaking. As far as sex before marriage it is a sin period. Making excuses of getting married anyway is just that an excuse. It is the word of God( Bible) that says sex before marriage is a sin notjust certain religions. So it should be the belief of all Christains

I agree with Kriss..I too struggled with the same issues, and understand how the confusion can sit in watching others do exactly what you know your not supposed to. However, the book of Romans will answer most if not all of your questions about sexual immorality. In His LoveNichole

Its more important to be spiritually a virgin than to be a physical one.. but to live a holy life that God would be happy to see if also important... all the commandments should be kept...but do NOT enter into any worship of pagan rituals like EASTER the ritual of pagan fertitlity rites and Christmas Molech worship. Prepare yourself by knowing the whole Word and the languages that have been mistranslated by studying in the right place... to stand against the antichrist instead of falling into the trap of rapture and false teaching that do atgree with truth of science, such as the age of the earths crust. Get busy you have a lot to do! and Above all know thqt God again and again states He blots ot those sins we confess and repent of.. if you blot out a stain it doesn't exist anymore and in this way all can be renewed...

I too believe you can only be in the physical state once, and repenting for your sins is what god wants you to do, you are always going to sin (true) but that is why god says to read his word daily. Doing this will give you the true answers to your questions, because observing the ways of other people- even though they do go to church- will only leave you baffled more, reading his word is the best solution, you will know the truth 'and be set free' from what people say about virginity. paul wrote a letter to the gentiles in acts to: "repent from sexual immorality", so this we must follow. And, yes, it is (or should be) all christians who denounce sex before marriage, it is what god commands, and not following god will leave you entangled in the world, cuz the jesus says dont be of this world, for the kingdom of god is not of this world.

This sounds a bit like the "I prayed to God for a bike, and didn't get it. I then realised God doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked for forgiveness."Anyways, humans are all about sex. It's in our evolutionary roots.

Humans are all not about sex. It's about between Him and Lucifer, between spiritually right and wrong...and we are suppose to take of the Lord's body...not to defile it if you think humans are all about sex...It's wrong...Yes sex is a beautiful thing when it comes to Yahweh's (the Lord's) way of where he originally planned.Lovest thou in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.

"Anyways, humans are all about sex. It's in our evolutionary roots." You could also say humans are all about food- if you have an eating problem and do it all of the time. Or you could say that humans are all about money- if that's all you ever think about. It's about perspective and what you're putting your focus on...(Let it be God...
