I have faith in Jesus Christ, and believe he will save me and all others who believe in him. A salvation culminating in eternal life with him in heaven. Which is presently realized in our spirit. But by the day of the Lord should also be soul and body.

So, does having faith in Jesus Christ determines whether you go to heaven or not?

That is pretty clear from the Bible. As a matter of fact all the OT saints as well as all the NT saints who have passed on are presently in Heaven (Heb 12:22-24). More precisely they are in the New Jerusalem (the heavenly city which is presently in Heaven).

All who are born again of the Spirit are going to heaven. In one sense, they are already united with God and are already there.

1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

So, if you discontinue to believe you won't be going to heaven.
