:(

So much conjecture.
So much opinion.
So many blind leading the blind.
So many blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel.
So many teachers without the gift from God.
So many false witnesses.
So many false prophets.
So many false accusations.
So many with a spirit of crucifixion.
So many in the mix who hate.
So many against the Spirit.
So many not helping God or people, but doing harm.

So many who do not know what they do.

So much to answer for--weeping and gnashing of teeth.

So many cut in two and appointed their portion with the hypocrites.
I notice this here. It used to be better but everything just leads to arguments. Pride. I’m right your wrong stuff.

You think so. Hmm. Thinking about it you might be right, just look at how much man loves war.

I suppose I'm drawing on my own experience when I say that. I rarely have disputes at work or anywhere in society.

I still think forum communication is unnatural to us. We don't get to read people's facial expression, tone, we don't even know the person's age, sex or nationality sometimes.
I was once on a forum where a member had his real account and his puppet account because the site didn’t check for ip addresses, this guy used to talk back and forth to himself like he was two different people, until the members caught on, he used to have arguments with himself and everything, crazy world.

True. Pride. Its at the heart of most conflict.
Lucifers favourite sin. It's so innocuous that you don't even see yourself doing it.

Debate is healthy but it can easily cross the line on forums and stoop to levels that I don't think would be reached in real life communication. Certainly not with me anyway I never have such arguments in real life

Nice to meet you, Bob sir. :p

Thank you Lambo, you too sir. This is really a prime site for a fine gathering of people of faith. Most are considerate, and what I like is there are so many new ones. Most sites like this are extremely restrictive, hate God, and you speak to the same ones daily. Nice to have people like you posting.

I love this post! So much wisdom…
Pride, self-righteousness/having to be right/blindness to the possibility of not being right/elevating self to teacher level… are all things which hinder true Christian growth.
We need to be growing in our understanding of God’s word AND growing in agape love towards one another.
@Goldie75 Your post reminds me of 2 Peter 3.18, about growing 'in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ'.

:)

"Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

I have given up on the idea of true unity with all Christians in every doctrine. There are too many entrenched positions.

What we can do is return to our first love, Jesus. Keep it simple. Don't drink muddy waters. Better not to know something disputable than to error.

Love the truth, do not practice falsehood.

Trust God, he said he would guide us into all truth but the timing was not specified.

I totally agree. Agreeing with all Christian’s on every doctrine is an impossibility - despite what some might say.

There are essential doctrine which ….are essential..

But the rest…I think God designed it so - we are to walk in agape love towards one another.

He said He’d be known by our love for one another…not our agreement on doctrine.

What matters most is that He is being increasingly revealed through us.

Yes indeed. If we walk in love many arguements become irrelevant.

Are we home yet?!? How much longer?
"21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin." - Romans 7:21-25

Yes. The more I go on - the more important correct doctrine is to me. I was very weak in this area. But at the same time, the more I’m learning the more there seems to learn…it can feel overwhelming at times. I believe I have a clearer understanding than I used to but have forever to go…I find it very important to keep a balance between growing in knowledge of the Word and keeping my relationship with the God/The Word fresh and up to date so to speak. If I start becoming too ‘obsessed’ with learning my walk with God suffers I find.

More love...more power...more of You in our midst!
The word is the riverbed...the Spirit is the river...we need both!
The word without the Spirit...we dry up.
The Spirit without the word...we blow up.
The word and the Spirit...we grow up!

Like a train. One rail is truth, the other is Spirit. In balance, the train stays on track.

Is this what happens when you listen to human teachers? I actively avoid this.
