Is this what happens when you listen to human teachers? I actively avoid this.
I’m making a point of just straight reading my Bible praying for the Holy Spirit to highlight what He wants to show me - and I’m finding this is enriching my walk with God greatly.

But I’m also looking things up from teachers I’ve come to respect - because I find they can shed light on things i otherwise would never learn.
But I don’t have any single teacher who I agree with over everything. I think different teacher’s have different strengths and giftings.

Also, I’ve learnt some good theology from some of these teachers which has in a positive way shaped and helped my understanding of the bible as a whole. If I’d known some of these correct doctrines at the beginning it would have saved me from so much trouble!

Do you solely rely on the bible and Holy Spirit?

More love...more power...more of You in our midst!
The word is the riverbed...the Spirit is the river...we need both!
The word without the Spirit...we dry up.
The Spirit without the word...we blow up.
The word and the Spirit...we grow up!

Like a train. One rail is truth, the other is Spirit. In balance, the train stays on track.
That’s brilliant!

That’s brilliant!
Reading the word, all the while asking the Holy Spirit to give understanding, that's brilliant!
The Lord can and at times does teach me through others, but it's Him that teaches me.
As long as I remember that, I'm okay.
As our friend Amadeus so often says, "Give God the glory!"

I agree with everything you wrote but especially this.
I can get in the flesh with my studying…in fact, I’ve fallen into this trap this week along with other mistakes….I guess essentially trying to learn and work things out with my own understanding…and wanting revelation knowledge with wrong motive.

Purify our hearts, Lord.

So much conjecture.
So much opinion.
So many blind leading the blind.
So many blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel.
So many teachers without the gift from God.
So many false witnesses.
So many false prophets.
So many false accusations.
So many with a spirit of crucifixion.
So many in the mix who hate.
So many against the Spirit.
So many not helping God or people, but doing harm.

So many who do not know what they do.

So much to answer for--weeping and gnashing of teeth.

So many cut in two and appointed their portion with the hypocrites.

Frustrating and at times IS the persecution.
The Bible IS the Knowledge...not the understanding.
The Bible IS Gods Sufficient Knowledge.
The Bible IS Gods authority to Verify what you hear, are taught.
Understanding of Gods Knowledge, comes from God.
The Bible Gives the Formula....ie Order...Way...to HAVE “this”.
The Bible Gives the Warnings...of Consequences.
Do this...expect this....Do that....expect that.

Agree with your list....(except for the word “hate”. I do not have an issue with “that word”. Hate does not mean “not love”.
Hate means a “strong dislike”.
There are a number of things “I hate”.
I hate Peas and most any kind of beans.
I hate forcing homosexuality as an acceptable option in young childrens’ minds.
I hate people saying I believe what I do not.
And I hate making the morning pot of coffee.

Yes. The more I go on - the more important correct doctrine is to me. I was very weak in this area. But at the same time, the more I’m learning the more there seems to learn…it can feel overwhelming at times. I believe I have a clearer understanding than I used to but have forever to go…I find it very important to keep a balance between growing in knowledge of the Word and keeping my relationship with the God/The Word fresh and up to date so to speak. If I start becoming too ‘obsessed’ with learning my walk with God suffers I find.
Prayer and the Scriptures daily are so important indeed; and the central theme of God's Word is indeed the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
