if one has not eternal life , one is not been saved either . Ye cannot seperate the two no matter what the popes say .

how about scripture?

Matt 24:13 endures to the end.

Mark 13:13
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

1. Romans 11:22 – God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness

2. Colossians 1:21-23 – holy and blameless, if you continue in the faith"

3. The race of faith: the example of Paul

4. Hebrews 12:22-25: "we shall not escape if we turn away from Him"

5. Hebrews 4:1-3, 9-12: "strive to enter the rest of God"

6.Hebrews 6:4-9 – those who became partakers of the holy spirit and fell away

7. Hebrews 10:23-29, 35-39: "if we sin willfully", "if anyone draws back".

8. Matthew 24:13: He that endures to the end, the same shall be saved

9. Hebrews 3:4-6: Holding fast our confidence firm until the end

10. Matthew 24:13: "But the one who endures to the end will be saved"

11. 1 John 2:24-25 – "if what you heard from the beginning abides in you"

12. 2 John 8-9 : to "everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ

13. 2 Peter 1:5-11 : "Make every effort to supplement your faith"

14. Philippians 2:12-16: "work out your salvation with fear and trembling"

15. 1 Timothy 6:10-16: the love of money

16. Galatians 5:2-4 "Severed from Christ"

17. 2 Timothy 2:11-13: "if we deny him, he will also deny us"

18. James 5:19-20: the wandered brother

19. Some will abandon the faith

20. 1 Timothy 5:8: "he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"

22. The real family of Jesus: "Those who hear the Word of God and do it"

23. 1 Corinthians 5:5: "so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord"

24. Peter 2: "It would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness"

25. Jude: "Turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness" - a much relevant warning

26. 1 Cor. 9:27 ....Lest I myself might become a castaway

Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

So salvation by “faith alone” is completely false and impossible!

A sacrament is an outward sign for all men including infants And a gift from God to help us see what he does inwardly and invisibly by his grace!

As grace Washes our souls in the merits of Jesus blood from original and personal sin, so the outward action of washing is visible!

without the outward action the inward action cannot take place!

Jn 3:5 Titus 3:5 water and washing
acts 22:16 wash away your sin!

Jn 3:5 Born again BY water and the spirit! Not by “faith alone”!

They did not go to Jerusalem and preach “accept Christ as you’re personal Lord and savior “

They went to the river (water) and they baptized! Jn 3:22

A covenant requires an outward sign of the inward action of grace!

Ez 36:25 I will sprinkle you with clean water and you shall be made white as snow.

Acts 22:16 washing away your sins.

1 pet 3:21 baptism saves you.

Baptism!

God breathed life into Adam, gen 2:7 and we received this life from our fathers!

Christ breathed on the apostles our spiritual fathers, we receive the new covenant life of God’s grace from them thru faith & baptism! Jn 20:21-23 Mk 16:16 acts 8:36-38 eph 2

Born again! Born from above!

'The Father has set his seal' on Christ (John 6:27) and also seals us in him (cf. 2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 1:23, 4:30). Because this seal indicates the indelible effect of the anointing with the Holy Spirit in the sacrament of Baptism,

Baptism indeed is the seal of eternal life." 87 The faithful Christian who I has "kept the seal" until the end, remaining faithful to the demands of his Baptism, will be able to depart this life "marked with the sign of faith," 88 with his baptismal faith, in expectation of the blessed vision of God - the consummation of faith - and in the hope of resurrection.

St. Paul tells the faithful at Ephesus that they have been “sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.” This is in terms of an indelible character imprinted on the soul in the sacraments of baptism and confirmation. It is not as if this invisible mark is simply decorative. Rather, through it, we are enabled to participate in Christ’s mission and in his offices of priest, prophet, and king. Eph 1:13

Sealed by God eph 1:13 sealed by God (ez 36:25-27) in the ark of salvation by baptism just as Noah was sealed by God in the ark of the flood gen 7:16

1 Pet 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!
(Ark of Noah a type of the church, member of Christ and his church and salvation by baptism!)
(Outside the ark of Noah none were saved, outside the church (the ark of salvation) none are saved!)

Sealed in the ark, sealed in the church the ark of salvation by God thru baptism!

Effects of faith & baptism!

Ez 36:25-27 washed in baptism, with a new heart and the Spirit
Jn 3:5 born again in baptism
Mk 16:16 faith & baptism
Acts 2:38 repentance & baptism
Acts 8:36-38 faith & baptism
Acts 22:16 baptism washes away sin
Rom 6:3 died with Christ
Col 2:12 risen with Christ
1 cor 12:13 baptized into the church
Gal 3:27 by baptism put on Christ
2 Tim 1:10 brought to life
2 cor 5:17 new creation
Eph 1:13 sealed by the Holy Spirit
Eph 2:1&5 brought to life in baptism
Eph 4:5 one baptism
Eph 5:26 faith and baptism
Titus 3:5 baptismal regeneration
1 pet 1:2 washed in Christ’s blood
1 pet 2:9 and not the kingdom of light
1 pet 3:20-21 baptism saves us!

“Faith alone” accomplishes nothing!
1 cor 13:2 even all faith (alone) without charity avails NOTHING!!!

“Faith alone” produces absolutely NOTHING!
Certainly not eternal salvation!

“Faith alone”

Questions

where does scripture says we have died with Christ by “faith alone”?

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

where does scripture say we are members of Christ and his church by “faith alone”?

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

where does scripture says we put on Christ by “faith alone”?

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Where does scripture say our sins are washed away by “faith alone”?

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

where does scripture say we are saved or justified by “faith alone”?

1 pet 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!

The only reference in scripture to “faith alone” is James 2:24 NOT BY “FAITH ALONE”?

Jn 3:5 born again by faith alone?

Where is “Accept Christ as your personal lord & savior” is not found in scripture?

They did not go preaching this line but went immediately to the river and baptized Jn 3:22

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Eph 4:5 one baptism

Why don’t it say one teeny tiny little act of “faith alone”???

When we first believed we are saved?

Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Are all the born again "the Temple of the Holy Spirit"?
Is not the power of God the Holy Spirit's power?
Is not the Holy Spirit's power the power of God?
So, As God as in all the born again, they have the Holy Spirit, and so they have the power of God.

How could God be in the born again, and they not have access to all that God has, and all that God is ???
How can a born again believer be an "heir of God, and a "joint heir with JESUS"< and not have all they have, right now?

The reason that Christians have no power, is not because of God, its because they do not understand that they have the power.
A.) They dont believe it.
B.) No Faith, no power
In other words they have no genuine revelation of "who they have become, in Christ".
They have not seen this verse with their spiritual eyes..

>"As JESUS IS.......so are the born again....>IN THIS WORLD".

only the apostles have authority from Christ!

Jesus Christ extends his mission, power, and authority to His church of His apostles!

Even His judging!
Matt 19:28
His teaching authority!
Matt 28:19 and Jn 20:21
His power to forgive sins!
Jn 20:23
His being the light of the world!
Matt 5:14
His ministry of reconciliation!
2 cor 5:18
His authority in governing the church and administering the kingdom!
Matt 16:18-19 & 18:18 Jn 21:17
Lk 22:29
Apart from me you can do nothing. Jn 15:5
So the church is subject to Christ!
Eph 5:24
Christ shares His glory! 2 thes 1:10 rev 12:1

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Matt 18:17 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20 acts 2:42 1 Tim 3:15

Fundamentalism drives a wedge between Christ and his church, separates Christ from His kingdom, and the authority of Christ from the new covenant!

1 Corinthians 16:22
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema

Extends to the truth and the church

Cos Christ is the truth and His church teaches the truth without error! Jn 14:6 matt 28:19 matt 18:17 1 Tim 3:15 Jn 29:21-23 Jn 16:13

Christ and His church are one! Acts 9:4 eph 5:32

Authority of the Apostles!

What authority does Christ have?
What power does Christ have?
What mission / ministry does Christ have?

Peter, the apostles and their successors have the same authority, power, and mission! Jn 20:21 as my father sent me, even so send I you!

John 17:18
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

The apostles are Christ’s successors!
They have authority to send others as well, apostle means one who is sent!

Therefore the apostles have authority to send more apostles or successors!
Apostolic succession!

The nations still need to be taught, disciples still need to be baptized and the church the new covenant kingdom of christ still needs to be governed!

Hebrews 3:1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Christ is an apostle, and has authority to send other apostles, the apostles also have this authority, so the apostles continue down thru the centuries as Christ promised! Matt 28:19-20

Keys of authority! And power to bind and loose! Matt 16:18 and Matt 18:18 matt 28:19 Isa 22:21-22

Moral authority:
(Teaching)
Necessity of being taught by Christ:
Two edge sword: defining truth and condemning errors, and Interpreting scripture.

Jurisdictional authority:
(Governing / administering)
Necessity of Peter and the apostles and their successors to govern the holy church.

Spiritual authority:
(Life of Grace)
Sanctifying thru the mass and Sacraments

The apostles teaching is Christ’s teaching, Christ and His church are one! Acts 9:4

Christian rule of faith is not the Bible alone! But the doctrine of the apostles! Acts 2:42

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20

None of the so called reformers were apostles or any authority from christ

No, I just say what the Bible says, that the word .

C'mon.... Ferris Buellier..

Stop with this self saving, "i have to keep my faith to keep myself saved", Legalism junk.

JESUS is IN THE BORN AGAIN.
THERE IS YOUR "WORD", IN ALL THE BELIEVERS....that never leaves them.
Do you understand this YET?
You are saved a while now, and never understood that Christ IN YOU is your Salvation?
Thats pathetic..

Wake up.
You theology is poison, its cultish, its, not very smart.

Listen.

Salvation is not...>"Believe on Jesus" and then as long as you dont stop, you keep yourself saved."
But that is your salvation, theology.
Its just one more form of self saving Legalism...... Its.."Jesus started my Salvation, but i have to KEEP IT by DOING THIS< and DOING THAT".

You need to realize what you believe, and change your faith from "im keeping myself saved, if i do THIS".....To... "Jesus keeps me saved because of the CROSS"....Because of the GRACE OF GOD. <<<<<< "

My, how far the church has fallen. The necessity for having faith in the blood of Jesus is now legalism.

why do you skip sanctification?

Paul does not!
Sanctification does not convert you. It's only left out in regard becoming born again. That happens via one's faith in Christ's blood, all by itself apart from works.

Yes, you give God your faith, ONE TIME...... and that was the day you FIRST BELIEVED.

Did this happen to you yet, Ferris Bueller ????
Alter call?
Sunday morning?
Went down to the alter and said a sinner's prayer with the Pastor?
Believed in Christ? ?????

= That is when God accepted your faith, and saved you..........that is how most people become born again.
And, Its DONE. Its finished. Salvation , the GIFT.....is GIVEN.
You gave Him your faith, and God took it and gave you this...>"BORN AGAIN">

Why is it that you have no idea about this, all these years, and are trying to do for yourself by "holding onto my faith"....when God has already accepted your faith, LONG AGO, and gave you his Salvation.

His Salvation, is applied to you, when you give God your faith. = ONCE
BORN AGAIN = ONCE.
See it?
Understand yet?
God then comes to live inside you...= "temple of the Holy Spirit".

Did you ever wonder why you can study the New Testament for 400 years, verse by verse and never find a verse that says that God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit, will ever leave you......for any reason?
Why do you think that is, Ferris Bueller?

So, you found a verse you dont understand, tho i showed you how to compare scripture with scripture and you didnt...... and this verse along with the Devil, has led you to think that Its not God who keeps you saved as a SON<.... but its you that TRIES to keep yourself saved, by "i have to hold unto my faith, or i burn in hell".
See, the DEVIL always has people trying to do something else, then just BELIEVE IN JESUS, and be BORN AGAIN.
He has people worrying about "abiding", and "if i stop abiding, im going to hell'.
He has others confessing sin = to try to stay saved.
He has others, "living a life of repentance".
He has others, chasing Mary, the Pope, and the "one true church"
He has others totally obsessed on WATER Baptism.

The devil wants you to put the responsibility of KEEPING your Salvation, on YOUR BACK, and He has that Cross on you for what, 20+ yrs.
Why dont you give God your faith that He will keep you saved, based on what Jesus has done on the Cross.
Why dont you use Philippians 1:6. ........and Hebrews 12:2. ......... and get out of your one verse in John that keeps you nailed to your "Here is what i must DO, so that i can go to Heaven", deception. ?????

Thats a very long life you have there, where you have conned yourself into thinking., or someone else did it to you.....

= "oh, my.....""""i have to hold unto my faith for 50 more years, or i'll go to hell".

Thats very sad, when in Fact its GOD that holds unto you, because of your faith you gave Him once.
He takes our faith, and God SAVES US.....its DONE.... this is why we have ETERNAL LIFE< RIGHT NOW !! and are not waiting to get it.

"Christ IN YOU< the hope of Heaven".

Jesus told YOU....>" you shall never perish" once you are born again, and you think you will, unless you "hold unto my faith and try to keep from going to hell".

Why is faith presented in scripture in the present “tense”

Mk 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Stop reading it as...>"keep believing", and read it as "give your FAITH TO GOD"

And then, your "FAITH IS COUNTED............as......Righteousness".

See the "IS COUNTED"........its accepted, and then GOD DOES THE REST.

Philippians 1:6

We dont keep trying to BE SAVED........we become BORN AGAIN............because we ARE SAVED.

Salvation is not us trying to do it.
Salvation is Christ having finished it on the Cross, proven by the Resurrection, and by Christ saying on the Cross....."" IT IS FINISHED.""
Christ >finished< our Salvation, 2000 yrs ago, and when we BELIEVE, then GOD gives us what Christ has Finished on the Cross.

See that?
That is "The GIFT of Salvation". and "the GIFT of Righteousess".

So salvation by “faith alone” is completely false and impossible!
Why do you believe that?

Given that then what does this mean?

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27

Sanctification does not convert you. It's only left out in regard becoming born again. That happens via one's faith in Christ's blood, all by itself apart from works.

sanctification is the largest part of salvation
Most of our lives spent resisting sin and the devil and being sanctified, faith and baptism impute grace and removes all sin then we are to be sanctified, holy, pure! And real holiness and real righteousness!

Sanctification: the life of grace in the holy sacrifice of the mass and sacraments, prayer, virture, and good works, fasting, alms, the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, the gifts and fruits of the spirit, the just living by faith, and faith working thru love! Phil 1:29 called to suffer with Christ.
All done in Christ thru His grace! Jn 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Rom 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Called to do good works!

Rom 5:1-5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Hebrews 12:4
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

1 Thessalonians 1:3
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, andpatience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

1 Timothy 6:11
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Hebrews 6:12
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith andpatience inherit the promises.

Matt 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

sanctification is the largest part of salvation
Most of our lives spent resisting sin and the devil and being sanctified, faith and baptism impute grace and removes all sin then we are to be sanctified, holy, pure!
This is exactly why there is the Catholic church with it's works gospel and the rest of us who have rejected your works gospel. Your gospel is no different than the Jews who thought their works removed all sin and made them right with God.
