Hi Everyone,
My dad is 90 and quite poorly at the moment. He has problems with his liver and it’s affecting him in so many ways. I am pulled between working and being their for him, and as this has all transpired in the last week, I am struggling to deal with my own emotional responses to this new issue. Well aware that this potentially be an end of life situation.
Over here in the U.K. it will be the Queens Jubilee ( platinum ) well it was ten years ago on her last jubilee weekend that my mum died suddenly, so lots of triggers to that going on as well.
I am not coping to well , if I am honest x
Would value prayer support for my dad , and for me xx

So sorry to hear that Rita....my own Mum is 97 and I am her full time carer, so I understand the reality of what you are facing. I wonder every day how much time we have left with her.....

We know we have to lose them, but its never easy.....my thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry to hear this Rita, I pray God will give you clear directions and settle your mind. You've honored your father and continue to.
Lord give my beautiful sister wisdom to make the right choice as to what to do here, and that peace that passes all understanding for her. Thank you Father, in Jesus Name amen.

Just to give an update. The consultant thinks my dad has pancreatic cancer. He will have a scan on the 11th June to clarify. They have already relayed to me and my dad that because of his age and other health issues they will not be able to offer surgery.

Rita, this is a very searching verse, Romans 8.28; and for those 'in the furnace of affliction' (Isaiah 48.10) it is something to hold onto firmly in faith, indeed.
