Here's an alternative to the usual 'footprints in the sand', which I thought was (1) more mature, and (2) funny

Butt Prints In The Sand

One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.

But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?"
Those prints are large and round and neat,
"But Lord they are too big for feet."
"My child," He said in somber tones,
"For miles I carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait."
"You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not know.
So I got tired, I got fed up,
and there I dropped you on your butt."
"Because in life, there comes a time,
when one must fight, and one must climb.
When one must rise and take a stand,
or leave their butt prints in the sand."

What a scumbag to mock the footprints poem...

Around 6 months after my mom's prior boyfriend shot holes all throughout our house and then blew his brains out... which was also around a month after my house had burned down two weeks before christmas... when I was around 14 ... after my Mom had promised me she was sober and I walked in on her and her new husband... my mom slamming heroin and my latest step dad smoking crack... I walked out while kicking a hole in each wall... and the footprints poem that was hanging on my wall rang in my head and helped me to believe God would carry me through living on my own at 14.... and He did....

So the unknown author of that poem can kick rocks...

It's all good... my Mom is alive... God delivered her from drug addiction and many other things... including her boyfriend holding the gun to her head before he shot himself... when that was happening I fell on my knees and prayed out loud for God to protect her... I still believe it's only God that caused Dan to only shoot himself and not me and her with him... all glory to Him... it was the original reason I believed in God... because I knew my Mom couldn't be alive and sober apart from a power greater than herself...

Straight up... I'm feeling pissed right now... I don't even want to talk anymore... Jesus rules... that's all...

The real poem... Frick that cheap attempt at mocking it...

Footprints
One night I had a dream--
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way,
but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
"I don't understand why in times when I needed you most,
you should leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never, never leave you
during your times of trial and suffering.
"When you saw only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

...Mary Stevenson

Thank you Lord for carrying me through so many times that without you I'd be done...

Amusing at best, but ……… and there's always a but,
The Bible says he will not leave us or forsake us.
The buttprints poem without a doubt says he dropped you.
Kinda not able to back the buttprints poem up with Scripture kiddo, sorry. If this was the gong show jj the dancing machine would have had to fill time. You would've got gonged.

That poem kicks all the buts. Are you saying that God will put up with unbelief indefinitely?

1 John 3:10
In this the children of God and the
children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice
righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother

2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be unequally
yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness
with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

Hebrews 13:5
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Joshua 1:5
No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you

Mark 4:13-20
13 And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? 14 The sower sows the word. 15 And
these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they
hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in
their hearts. 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and
they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time.
Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake,
immediately they stumble. 18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and
the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires
for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

God will never leave anyone who seeks him, but if we don't seek him he is not with us... light can not live in darkness. If we seek him but turn away to seek the world then The butt print in the sand is not our butt print where Jesus dropped us, it is Jesus' butt print where we dropped him.
