“No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It's good to know that no one can read my mind.

A thinker's thoughts can be inferred by others, sometimes with great accuracy, from what that thinker says or does. For this reason, if we translate 1 Cor. 2:11 as “No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit," I'd have to say that Paul is mistaken.

But I don't translate it that way. I don't see "thoughts" in the Greek.

I think it goes much deeper that that--whys and wherefores.

Would this be a more accurate reading brother, Redfan?

11 for who of men hath known the things of the man, except the spirit of the man that [is] in him? so also the things of God no one hath known, except the Spirit of God.

12 And we the spirit of the world did not receive, but the Spirit that [is] of God, that we may know the things conferred by God on us,

13 which things also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy Spirit, with spiritual things spiritual things comparing,

Yes, I think this is a better translation of the Greek words that Paul used. I hesitate to comment on whether it more accurately expresses Paul's intended message. I think what Paul was attempting to convey is better gleaned from reading the whole chapter. His point is that we can know human things only from the standpoint of a human spirit, and divine things only from the standpoint of the Divine Spirit.

That does make sense Redfan,

I believe you may right the whole chapter plus the previous would express it more openly for us to understand.

The only thought I have on it is the ones in whom it was written to Chap 1:2, spirit begotten Christians of the Covenant.
