But I agree, just because someone believes in transubstantiation doesn't mean they are sacrificing Christ "over again"

Then what is it?
When we take Communion, we are using symbols.
If the bread is really Jesus, that would mean we are partaking of His earthly body, a form which He is not in. He is in a heavenly body. His earthly body is gone.
The sacrifice was made once, and we commemorate it.

The problem with that is Christ is the one that is speaking of this in the Bible.
Of any topic that Christ spoke of, this one is the most detailed and lengthy.
He explained what would happen if you did not do it.
He explained what would happen if you did.
This is a conversation with a group of people, some of them Jews...His Apostles and disciples.
The scriptures records their reaction....it was clear that Christ was risking His ministry over this.
There is nothing like this in the Bible....Christ Himself is speaking....Truly Truly He says...He only uses that in a matter of fact scenario.
And in this case the most detailed and lengthy conversation in the Bible.
