There are not many shows I watch regularly nowadays but I generally enjoy the 'Adult Swim' cartoons on Cartoon Network as well as many of the shows, such as 'Ancient Aliens' and 'Unxplained', on the History Channel.

I usually watch YouTube movies that are free as I don't have TV anymore. But when I did I watched:

Favorite uplifting TV shows:
Little House on the Prairie
Highway to Heaven

And some secular stuff.

I also caught recently "The Princess Bride" comedy on YouTube.

In no particular order, my all time favorites:
MASH
-Horrors of war, told from human angels. Brilliant comedy and even more brilliant drama.

All In The Family
-Archie was a bigot, but it was fun to laugh at him and with him...Sometimes he was right (not in his bigotry). It was a wake up call that allowed us to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. Probably wouldn't work today.

Criminal Minds
- of all the crime/police shows, this is my favorite. Each character has strengths and weaknesses. They are like human versions of the X Men. But they work as a team. Well written series.

Hogan's Heros
- Just the comedy. Nazis were terrible. The show left all that out. But you gotta figure Hogan, Schultz (who was actually Jewish, I believe) and Klinq were the stars. They were brilliant.

Lost
- just suspenseful! I watched the entire series on DVD. Not perfect, but the episodes always made you want to watch next time.

Looney Tunes/Tiny Toons/ Animaniacs
- IMO all pretty much the same cartoon, with just different characters. Cartoons can do alot of things live actors can't. Perfect blend of wackiness for kids and hidden jokes for adults.

Some talked about Little House on the Prarie. That is one show I wish I paid more attention to. I love history, especially American 1800's. It was historical fiction about life in the west 95% of the time. Yet movies like Tombstone and TV shows like it tend to draw ratings.

I’m going through one of my phases where I seem to have no real interest in tv or movies. I am a bit hooked here recently on watching videos on YouTube of Kevin Zadai.

But when I can seem to watch tv, my all time favorite is The Andy Griffith show.
Interesting that you mentioned Andy Griffith. I wanted to mention him in my favorites, but only two shows stuck out in my mind.

One was about a long string of trades Andy did to get his friend or aunt a dress or something... the other involved Barney Fife standing up against two rednecks and stating he wasn't as big as them, but he represented people who collectively were bigger than the bullys.

FHII: Do you ever see the TV ink shows? (I think you mentioned that a majority of your local church's attendees would be tattooed.)

We got a lot of folks inked in our Church. Myself, the Pastor, his daughter and grand daughter included. Now, even my wife!

But I don't watch the ink shows... we got tats... but it's not our life. It's something we just do in the flesh which has no bearing on our soul. I will watch an ink show if it's on... but no. I don't seek them out.
