What would fire feel like to a spiritual being?

I sure as heck do not know… but the fire, has purgative effects being that God is an all consuming fire, and whatever darkness is burnt out is the afterlife loss? I don’t understand truly understand it either but it sure is a hell of a lot better than annihilating people for Gods good pleasure (Save: Devil, His Angels, False Prophet, Beast which was done away with forever), which the Bible says he desires for none to perish.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Jesus has overcome the grave. Isn’t that the good news?

It’s better than completely gone bye bye fat head if you ask me. God is truly amazing and only gives good gifts, but some don’t want part of it and that is the sad, Amigo, but God is love, more loving than we could truly understand.
And God is Just, Holy and punishes sin. Those who reject Him are punished/condemned and that for all eternity in conscious existence just like the Righteous are in eternal bliss/joy.

You cannot accept one of Gods attributes ( Love ) and reject all the others ( Righteous. Just, Holy, Judge, wrath, vengeance, anger etc.... ).

You cannot have your cake and eat it too as they say.

hope this helps !!!

Yes. So is overcoming, death, Satan and his angels, sin, hell/grave/Sheol as you stated.

It’s good to grow in knowledge of God, and grow in spirit, and ultimately love.

Okay.
I hope you saw my post# 24.
Have you ever held another in contempt? I see many post on this forum daily claiming people deserve this lake. I don’t believe God is of that opinion.

So scripture has nothing but empty promises for the wicked right ?

If that’s the case the reverse is true . They are empty promises for the righteous .

The second death is the annihilation of the wicked...those souls deemed not worthy of eternal life.

But there is another aspect to this. Death also means separation. The unrighteous among God's people will be separated from God's presence forever in outer darkness.

Then there are the righteous among the nations of those who are saved and the saints who rule over them from the holy city. The saints will rule with Christ.

I hope the outer darkness is a 1000 year purgatorial type place. But I will admit I haven’t really set myself to go looking very hard, maybe for fear of what I’ll find.
But there is the parable of the man thrown into prison and not coming out until he pays the last farthing. It doesn’t say he will never come out….

It could be...although there's this...

Jude 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Yeah. I don’t know. Verse 19 says they don’t have Gods Spirit, and these verses you gave also say “twice dead.” I can’t grasp how a human without Gods Spirit will live forever. But I can grasp that satan appears to be an eternal being. I absolutely can understand how one with His Spirit will live eternally, but…I don’t know, I just know there are more stripes and less stripes if you didn’t know…
There really is more to it all than mens doctrines make it out to be. And that’s WHY we do well not to put ourselves in the judges seat.

And you know, the darkest blackness forever seems to relate back to wandering stars maybe, rather than humans…like saying they are like the wandering stars for whom that is reserved.

Nope!

Revelation 20:14
King James Version

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

God says the second death is death and the grave being destroyed before the lost are cast into the lake of fire! All that commentary is just opinion.

Yeah, you are right @Ronald Nolette to me it does not make it any less important to grow in the knowledge of God and his will either way. There is also the 21st Chapter that also talks about the Lake of Fire too, so do not forget that friend.

Thank you for all who have commented their insights on this forum thread.

May God bless all of you richly by studying and seeking God out and having faith and hope in all things that are for the interest of his will and good pleasure of having faith, and having love, even to those people who do not believe, or accept Christ, or God for that matter.

God created them for some type of purpose, do you not think so too?

You’re right, but I won’t stop teaching things that go left untouched by most. I’m what is called the minority.
No , your the majority . IN most mainstream churches you are now the majority . Maybe on sites you are still the minority .
About seventy percent of christendom already believes the all inclusive lie . The delusoin is moving fast now .

Ditto some do not have any concept on the attributes of God and how they work . A particular one cannot reconcile God is Love ‘with God is Holy and Just. They leads to the false teaching of universalism . And Calvinists do the opposite with Sovereignty, determinism and double predestination leaving love out and emphasizing hate. Many create a false god/ idol after their own image .

What would fire feel like to a spiritual being?

I don’t know either. But last night while going to sleep I thought of something. I’ve always wondered how can a spirit be burned or destroyed, thinking only flesh can be. Literally. As far to go out from this world by drowning or fire…neither sounds pleasant. But last night in regards to a spirit being destroyed …I started thinking about the spirit of the world, given not of God? (Makes you wonder about the proverb that the spirit returns to God who gave it) And all the verses concerning the spirit of fear unto bondage.

Ephesians 2:2 according to the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.

Ephesians 6:12 spiritual wickedness in high places.

1 John 4:3 not every spirit is of God…test the spirits. …This is the spirit of the anti christ that is gone out into the world.

Revelation 16:14 spirits of devils

spirits of false prophets

1 John 4:6 spirits of error

A haughty spirit? Proverbs 16:17-19 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keeps his way preserves his soul. [18] Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. [19] Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Point is, I was wrong in thinking a spirit can’t be destroyed otherwise the spirit of the world, the spirit of disobedience, the spirit of wickedness in high place, an haughty spirit, the spirit of the anti christ, the spirit of false prophets and the spirit of error, the spirit of devils, the spirit of fear unto bondage again and the spirit of slumber …which all leads to death…if that spirit can’t be done away with then it all continues. What kind of Fire can do away with the spirit of the world which leads to death? Can a literal fire destroy and overcome the spirit of death and loss?

Yeah. I don’t know. Verse 19 says they don’t have Gods Spirit, and these verses you gave also say “twice dead.” ...
Yes, in Jude, these certain ungodly men who have crept in unnoticed (vs. 4) are said to be devoid of the Spirit. (vs. 19) In regards to twice dead, a tree being dead to the core and is incapable of producing good fruit then being "uprooted" is twice dead. The NASB says "doubly dead." (vs. 12)

In Matthew 15:13, Jesus said - Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be "uprooted."
