Jude 9 "Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said "The Lord rebuke thee."The Archangel Michael himself was doing battle with the devil, and he was a mighty powerful angel, yet he would not stop to discuss, or argue anything with Satan, the devil. God is telling you don't waste the time in arguing with Satan, or you will lose the argument. Satan is ten times wiser that Daniel, and Daniel was the wisest man in the world of his day. Satan and his fallen angels are deceitful, supernatural, and they have knowledge that is forbidden to us as human beings in the flesh. The nature of the flesh is a test of our choosing between God and Satan, and we are not to argue nor debate either. My friend you will lose to them every time while in the flesh body, so don't even try. Satan knows the Scripture from cover to cover and all of the Scripture is fresh in his mind. His nature is to add Word's and take them away to twist the original meanings. All human beings are born of the flesh, we walk the earth just a short time, and out minds will allow a limited amount of knowledge and common sense. Satan and his fallen angels and their evil spirits have been around continually not only in this age, but also in the first where they were all created. They are supernatural beings, and they are set in their minds to pervert you, and everything that you touch. They are the ones that trip you up, and they accuse you when you listen to them and follow their instructions and sin. It is in God's plan that all souls would inter this world age through the womb of woman, innocent of the world that was, and have the opportunity of a fresh start. Then each individual would have the choice to make their own mind up whether they would follow God, or Satan and his filthy angels. That is what is our "free will", however there are some that took a stand in the world that was, and they were judged then, and they are the ones that are called the "elect". Though God will not interfere in your right to chose Him or Satan, God will interfere in the lives of the elect, just as He did with Paul on the road to Damascus. Satan and Michael argued over the body of Moses because Moses was the law giver. Law and the commandments are despised by Satan, his fallen angels, and all his little demons. We know that God buried Moses, and when Satan tried to argue over how and by what manner Moses body was buried, Michael didn't argue, he just stated; "The Lord rebuke thee." God allowed nobody to know, not even Michael. The point to this verse is that we are not to argue with Satan, nor any of his angels, his kids the Kenites nor any evil spirit over any part of the Scriptures. The Bible is firm and unchangeable. If there is confusion in the Word, that confusion is in your mind, or the translation from the original text of the manuscripts. To argue in any manner is to turn yourself over to Satan, and accept in your mind the mind of Satan. II Peter 2:10 "But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities."II Peter 2:11 "Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord."Friend, you are not equipped to argue with Satan and his angels and that is why we are to turn it over to the Lord by saying "The Lord rebuke thee Satan."Jude 10 "But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves

Taking a stand Nothing to argue aboutRom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Perhaps the worst thing to do is engage him in seemingly harmless discussion. Say you are in a store and some item looks nice, but you are short on funds. If you proceed from there to consider that the items are overpriced, the store owner has been rude to you in the past, you really deserve a break because life has been so awful to you lately, etc., just who do you think is whispering to you?Your suspicions will be confirmed as soon as the thought pops into your head that no harm is done if you just sit here and think about how much you are owed. "Surely I am free to think about whatever I want, blah, blah, blah..."
Proverbs 9:13 The woman of folly is boisterous, She is naive and knows nothing. 14 She sits at the doorway of her house, On a seat by the high places of the city, 15 Calling to those who pass by, Who are making their paths straight: 16 "Whoever is naive, let him turn in here," And to him who lacks understanding she says, 17 "Stolen water is sweet; And bread eaten in secret is pleasant." 18 But he does not know that the dead are there, That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.

Sometimes I find in my own life that I dont even need him to sin. Its my own stinking flesh! Even the smallest of compromises can cause us to slip up majorly.

The simple answer - to which Kriss has provided the documentation - is don't argue with him. Rebuke him exactly as Jodycour said.Matthew 7:6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. It's a waste of time. Let him stew in his own muck while you go out and do the Lord's work.

It is an easy pride trap to fall into, to think you might be able to convince any demonic or carnal presence of the truth. But man in the flesh is not equipped to deal with such adversity, but rather be humble to the power of God (Job 41:1-11). Even in our ministry we should be humble that God’s Word is free to have its work in their hearts and not intermix our own modifications (John 7:17-18, Deut 12:32, Matt 10:19-20, Mark 13:11). As for Satan or demons, are you going to convince them of what knowing God could not? Are they, who deny the Light of Truth Himself, going to turn at your reproof? Their decision is already made, which is why God would prophecy of their destruction (John 17:12, Matt 8:29 concerning Legion as he is named in the other gospels).“Our warfare is not carnal (fleshly, temporal, worldly)…because the carnal mind is enmity against God” (2 Cor 10:4, Rom 8:1-17, 1 Cor 3:1-23, Luke 10:19-20). We are not to be ensnared into an argument with those who will not submit unto the truth, but speak the Word that God’s work may be performed (Matt 10:14-16). Your are chosen and elect, not because of your great ability, but that God’s glory might be made manifest through you (1 Cor 1:18-2:16). Even the angels of God excel not by might but by the blood of Christ which cannot be overcome (Rev 12:7-11, Jer 9:23-24 )!

:amen: I agree with the previous posters. Don't argue with Satan. Jesus never did. When Jesus was tempted He didn't argue. He quoted scripture.Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Does Satan have anything we want? Why argue with the father of lies?We have Christ, he never will. We should never pay him any attention, "greater is He who is in me than he who is in the World."
