Topic title- WHO LEADS YOUR POSTING?

My own approach is to regard the Old T as the solid bedrock on which the New T is founded-
"God having spoke in times past by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son" (Hebrews 1:1-2)
Jesus said "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them" (Matthew 5:17)

And Jesus's coming was prophesied multiple times in the Old T, e.g.-
"... your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." (Zechariah 9:9)

so my approach is to maintain a healthy balance between the Old and New Testaments.
But having said that, it's a no-no to concentrate too much on the Old T for the simple reason that if God thought the Old T was all we needed, he wouldn't have sent Jesus to give us the New..:)

"The law brought us to Christ like a schoolmaster, but now through Christ we are not under that schoolmaster" (Galatians 3:24-25)

Does the Holy Spirit lead people to post what the do or do they just post what is on their minds. There are so many contradictory posts claiming this or claiming that, that they can't all be Spirit led. Too many of them are legalistic or counterproductive to spiritual harmony. Just wondering.
God Jehovah and his only begotten son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior leads me to post what I post.

NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE! NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!

I realize this thread is about people who "post" .
What about what people say?
Have you ever heard this phrase, let's say for the last 2 years now?
NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!

Do you believe this statement is true?
Regardless of who is ranting it, or chanting it, is it a true statement?

If it is truthful, can the Holy Spirit use whatever vessels he feels necessary to get his word out into the world?
Even a child?

Now when considering "contradictory" ...
Does the statement being made matter by who is saying it? And how it's being used?
What does the Bible say about no justice, no peace?
Isaiah has a few things to say about it:

Isa 59:4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
Isa 59:8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
Isa 59:9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
Isa 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

Is truth abused?
Can we all read from the same scripture, the same chapter, the same verse, and everyone have their own interpretation of what that verse means?
How about a single word like Justice or Peace?

Now some people take that statement No Justice, No Peace, to mean, if there is no justice, peace isn't possible.
Other people take that same statement to mean, there will be no justice and no peace, until we get what we want.
One is a plea, and the other is a demand.

When people are reading the bible, everyone hears it in their own way.
To some it can be a plea, to others it can be a command.
It's not only important to "quote" scripture, but also to put it in a context of what that scripture is saying to you.
Because it may have an entirely different meaning to someone else.

I'm using this No Justice, No Peace statement, because it can be used and heard in many different ways.
And I'm just using it as an example to explain how, sometimes we misunderstand what each other is really trying to say.

What does No Justice, No Peace mean to you?
What does No Justice, No Peace mean to that little girl?
Are they the same thing? Do they mean the same thing?

How can we all walk in spiritual harmony, all reading from the same scriptures if we can't understand how we all hear it differently?
Communication is the key.
Instead of attacking someone you don't agree with, try asking them to explain what they mean.
Most times you'll find we're all saying the same thing, just coming at it from a different direction.

Luk 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Just sharing my thoughts.
Hugs

I think this may have been better in a new thread.

I thought I was posting according to the context of the thread.
Didn't mean to offend.

The problem is that the church has too much of the world in it. It never ceases to be shockingly surprising to me that people older than myself have a view of Christian faith and fellowship that is much more like a love-in from the summer of '67 than the body of Christ. "Love is all you need." "Unity at all costs."

The entire Bible must be read through the lens of the poster's favorite chapter. "Can't we all just get along?" is the order of the day, as if Matthew 10:34-39 didn't even exist. Anything that doesn't give warm fuzzies is antispiritual, antichrist, and heartless.

I distinctly remember a time when people weren't anywhere near as easily offended as they are today, especially at a simple variance of views. It's really disgusting. Ultra-sensitivity is selfishness, which is the basis of sin.

I can barely bring myself to post here anymore, the ill will has gotten so bad. I used to invite people to my house to discuss Bible doctrine, and the discussions always ended with a smiling, friendly parting.

People get in front of a screen and have to test the limits of the admins' patience.

A new member told me about a month ago that a co-founder of my denomination is roasting in hell at the right hand of Martin Luther and that her screams are music to the ears of angels. It looks like he finally got some time off. Kudos to the admins.

It's right here if anyone doubts it.

You really shouldn't be using Harry Anderon's artwork without his permission—just kidding; I'm fairly certain he wouldn't mind a bit, if he were alive. I do it all the time.
