Praying For Doors to Open or Close!

Emma is a worship leader in a number of ministry outreaches. She has been concerned because Jess who is also very talented musician has appeared in various places where Emma ministers.

Jess has told various people that she has stepped out of the Church worship leading because the Lord wanted her to take a break for a year. This has not yet happened as Jess has some how managed to take one of Emma's outreach positions with another team by speaking to the team leader and the leader let her take over Emma's position without her knowledge. He didn't even let her know that she had been replaced.

Just recently Jess had asked Emma if she could join her worship team that she has at the moment with a specific outreach.

Emma told her that she could not because Jess had already said, she was told by God to take a year break.

Jess went behind Emma's back and spoke directly to the person who runs this ministry, asking to be in her team. This leader knows her talent and asked Emma to let her in

Emma thinks that Jess in coverting her ministries....

Please pray God's will into this situation accordingly

Sure sounds like Jess is coveting. I pray God reveal all hearts concerned and that Emma will have her position, where God placed her.

I hear a great sermon about open or closed doors: The text was about Jonah not wanting to go to Nineveh and him conveniently finding a spot open on a ship to Tarshish. The point being that open doors are not necessarily a sign from God...because there's always going to be a ship going to Tarshish.

The outcome. The ministry that Jess is trying to get into has a regional manager who stated that she could not join Emmas worship team because she only wanted to be casually on the team. Meaning only when an international speaker is there. She has been declined.

She was already in another ministry at the same time and couldn't rightly be in two places. She would eventually had to let one of them down.

So, no committal, no go huh. But seems pretty self aggrandizing to only want to be part of a "team" during "special" events...
