No New Revelation of Truth

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth.

All truth of God for man to know on earth is already written in the Scriptures of truth.

The only new revelation we can receive from the Spirit of truth, is new understanding and certain knowledge of what He has already given to the prophets and apostles of Christ, not new truth that is not confirmed by Scripture.

It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

We can all receive revelations, prophecies, visions, dreams, etc... by the Spirit of Christ, but not any gospel truth that is not already written by the apostles of Jesus.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

If we believe we have recieved anything of the Lord, the Spirit, or an angel from heaven, then so long as it is not preached as the true doctrine of Christ, we are free to reveal it to others.

But if we begin teaching anything revealed to us as the truth of Jesus' gospel, that Scripture does not plainly confirm, then we make ourselves false teachers and apostles of another cursed gospel, of which there have been many spoken by antichrists already.

Some examples are Mariology, Aarianism, Christ Created, Post Resurrectionism, etc...

And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

If we are taken to paradise to see things of the Lord, if it is not confirmed by Scripture as truth of God for man to know on earth, then it is wise to keep it to ourselves for our own edification.

That would include some sort of personal angel-speak, whether tongues of angels or of our own language, that makes no sense to a little child or rational adult.

Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

May I ask what is the meaning of Pro 4:18 and Daniel 12:4 Rob. What is the main reason Jesus assigned the faithful slave during the last days of this system?

Yes, Jesus's final words on the cross were "It is finished" (John 19:30)
Therefore the founders of all the later mickey mouse religions, creeds, cults and doctrines etc are falling flat on their faces..

"Jesus gives us all we need for life" (2 Peter 1:3)

Yes and the foundation was laid by Jesus and the Apostles.

Ephesians 2:20
Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.
