I wonder what you all think of end times.Many groups believe that most of it it yet to come or happening now and yet they seem to be forgetting the last 2000 years and all that has already taken place. We are closer than most churches even believe. They wait for something which has already taken place.But what about the Mark of the beast. Many say its symbolic but the Bible clearly says you will not be able to "buy and sell". There are works well under way for an implant for this buying selling. In Japan they have an island set aside with people on it for an experiment , its taking place right now, where all buying, selling and anything esles transpires through electronics, chips and so on.What about where it says man will be burnt by fire? Many have thought again symbolic and that it pointed to the discovery of gun powder and bombs but what about the in your face fact that with ozone depletion and climate change we are litteraly actually being burnt by the biggest fire we know of, the sun, burnt by fire. What are all of your views on this?

I agree with most of what Wakka says here except the catholic church and the pope. There will be a one world religious system but it will be set up by Antichrist when he gets here it is not the Catholic church nor is the Pope.(they are only a type of whats to come) The anti christ is Satan himself he is cast to earth by Michael along with his fallen Angels he will come in claiming he is Jesus returned to save us most rapture believers will fall for this lie as will most modern day Jews. Hmm, yes the pope and catholic church are off tap but the Bible clearly says that "who is the antichrist? He who denies Christ came in the flesh"Now, the pope and his church do "not" deny Christ or that He came in the flesh. Is it possible that 'bringing fire down from heaven' might possiblly be a reference to a fake or false type of Holy Spirit, in that God the Father is always seen in the spirit as "fire"?Also, with respect to "buying and selling" we read in the 'Parable of the Ten Virgins' in Matthew 25 of the wise virgins (churches) waiting for the bridegroom (Jesus) exhorting those 5 unwise virgins (erring churches) to 'buy for yourselves' more oil (representing the Holy Spirit). Is it possible that the "buying and selling" that is prohibited in Revelation 13 is in relationship to not having the Holy Spirit? I find the similarities quite interesting.

I still believe there will be a mark. The Word says so. There are huge efforts underway and have been for a while to make a secure, personal, yours only trading device. Japan is going full steam ahead with this project as we speak.Medical implants are a "reality". Scanning devices which are being upgraded etc are a "reality". Persoanal entry security scanner devices are a "reality". There are plans, not conspiracy theories, to create personal, protoypes exist, implants for replacement for credit card style trading. Ok, you gotta admit they exist and are real. There may very well be a physical mark also but thats not the Mark the bible talks about being condemed for taking you have to remember the bible is its own interpter God has foretold us all things. Think of it like this you are living in a one world system with one world religionsleader you are told if you dont join the religion and do the work you are told by the leader you cant work there fore you cant buy food. What is the price to join the religion accepting that this leader is christ but he will be the antichrist. Even if he sstamps a mark on you its not the mark thats the sin.The sin here is worshiping a false god.
I see what you mean with the spritual mark and yes I believe that that is so, I will still be aware of a physical one too, cant be too careful with ones salvation.

And isn't it strange that in the CONTEXT, John speaks of buying "a quart of wheat for a DENARIUS, and three quarters of barley for a DENARIUS (Rev. 6)? Strange monetary units to use to describe OUR times, don't you think? John uses DENARIUS because that was the monetary unit during the times in which these things HAPPENED--AD 70! That is why John was shown the things which must (in his time) SHORTLY take place!

Would receiving a chip in your hand or your forehead cause you to forget about the Word of God? Cause you to forget about your responsibilities towards others? Cause you to quit doing those things commanded by the Lord?Can a chip do this?

For what it's worth--I do look at EVERY passage afresh to either confirm what I believe or to teach me that I was misunderstanding. That's all I wanted here--for us to just be open to another's perspective and to look intently and closely at the Word and to always question what others say--no matter how many titles they have before their names or how many letters they have after their names! I'm glad you questioned me--really. I'm just sorry that there wasn't a lot more scriptural "proof" against what I was saying.I simply wanted to encourage people to look at EVERY word in EVERY passage and dig deeply to see if what we are believing is true--myself included. I'm glad that you are open minded to learn, But too me it would be very diffcult to believe what you believe. There are way too many holes in your doctrine to try to prove.
