ok this is a fun thread for all the sisters in the Lord in here, what is 1 Cosmetic you can't live without? me i can't live without lip gloss,
White vinegar.

I'm serious, it keeps my skin super clear. Without it, I have issues.

A gentle baby shampoo OR ground oats as a face wash, toner of half white vinegar and half water, a homemade rice cream, occasion oat mask, lard are my favorite skin products.

Lard has collagen, vitamin d, and keeps the skin young and helps with redness and ... Everything. I don't use any commercial skin products because I have a paraben/sulfate allergy.

Like if I had to go without makeup I can, but I just don't want to because I like some color.. and I'll be 40 in 5 years and my coworkers all thought I was in my early 20s.

Unless you mean makeup....

Mascara ...

...but also the blush
...and bb cream
...and maybe barely enough lipstick for it to be noticable.

I find false eye lashes to be irritating also. Particurly when you rub your lash and then you can't find one and it ends up being on your forehead at the end of the night....:( or you may find it has jumped ship and a passerby has it on the back of their hand  or in their drink:rolleyes:

Hahhaha:D:D:D

My grandmother used lard on her face and she had very few wrinkles and super soft skin. She also didn't have a lot of gray when she passed in her 80's.
The collagen and Vitamin D content are huge. I use grass fed beef collagen, as well as a multi-collagen daily in soups, smoothies, etc. And I take Vitamin D3+K2 daily as well ...Vitamin C (not ascorbic acid which is synthetic). Vitamin C is essential for collagen production.

Do you use organic/grass fed beef lard, or do you just use what you can get hold of?

My grandmother, too. She told my mother something about it and my mom thought she was crazy.

Then my mom came to my place and I keep telling her to try it. Lol she doesn't believe me

Honestly, I buy the cheap $2.50 or something lard in the grocery store. I'd like to get the grass fed but it's too expensive for me and prices here are doubling, so I need to save.

I charged multiple people today $26 for every bag of cherries.

One customer brought them back for a refund and another customer got smart on me and took a small amount out of a bag and wrapped them in plastic :D:D

Just out of curiosity @TLHKAJ you know the natural methods probably the most, have you ever used Henna hair dye?

I DO have a lot of gray and I dye it an ash brown, but I really hate using chemical hair dye. I am just scared of it putting red in my hair because that's part of what I'm trying to cover up :D:D

I have heard it's good. But I've used henna shampoo for years. I was born with white-blond hair and in my late teens, it was more of a medium brown with blond highlights. Then it lightened again ....it varies. lol

I never had gray until I was 46 ...the day we were told they saw cancer (again) on my son's scans. The next day, I found 2 gray hairs. I've found a few more since then. But I've always used natural shampoos, and I do use henna (in my shampoo). My hair is a sort of strawberry/dirty blond now.

I also use red light therapy which I've heard helps hair growth and reverses gray. So...maybe? I use red light for pain management and also it helps the body produce melatonin and aids in sleep.

46! It started in my 20s. Now I have a fancy stripe patch. Lol

I have never heard of red light therapy, I'll have to look into that out of curiosity... I might just need to get the courage to use the henna dye.

I made the mistake of doing a henna belly tattoo when I was pregnant and now I have mild phobia lol

The red light therapy was expensive. I was getting a really good deal on weekly sessions with my chiro ...about $10 extra for 20 or 30 minutes. But she recommended I get my own red light therapy unit for home use so I would be able to use it whenever I need it. It's a belt that can wrap around the body in any area needed, or just let it shine on the whole front or back of the body ...about 15 minutes is ideal. It has paid for itself already although it was about $150 ...actually got 2 for $300.

Henna should be good for your hair too.
Here's a video I just watched that was interesting. The comments give a lot of suggestions as well.
My middle daughter took cosmetology when she was 17. She was already doing her own hair styling and bleaching ....without frying her hair. They were all amazed at how soft her hair was when she went into cosmetology class. She doesn't bleach her hair much anymore and stays a more dirty blond. But reading those comments reminded me of her and the knowledge she has of how to maintain hair color.

Edit: changed "blind" to "blond." Gotta love typing on a phone screen using autocorrect. lol

Mostly because at 53 my lashes have thinned and grown shorter. A little mascara brings them back to life to where I look like I have lashes. o_O
My youngest daughter used castor oil on her eyebrows some years back and it turned them a little darker and thicker (but not overly thick). I have heard that it works on eyelashes as well. I'm considering it.

@LadyofFireandLace
This is my hair color. This is the closest I'll get to sharing my face publicly. lol
I have a lot of short hairs everywhere bc my hair is going through a bit of a rapid growth cycle.

@Pearl I liked @marks ' comment above about his mother-in-law having gotten a surprised look when after he said she got her eyebrows tattooed....

I guess the idea is that it's a really classy look.
Have you seen some of the pictures of this procedure gone wrong? I definitely wouldn't chance it.

@Pearl Well...............I guess you're saying that it maybe looks really, really good but.......

You would want to exclude the possibility of it looking instead really, really bad...........

It didn't really come off that way, more, odd.

Much love!
