Certain persons here claim that when those in Christ believe every Word that comes out of the mouth of God, and thus treating His Word as infallible, it means we are actually worshiping His Word instead of Him.

A true servant of The Father and His Son Jesus Christ should immediately recognize those are hypocrites who say that.

If it were true, it would mean that God's Word is NOT infallible, and has not been handed down to all generations in purity like God's Himself promised. It is in essence, to call God a liar.

And just who... would want God's people to believe such a lie that God's written Word has not been kept down to our generation?

The Answer:
1. those who seek to destroy God's written Word.
2. those who seek to exalt THEMSELVES over God's written Word. (That means worship them instead of God, in case you don't get my meaning.)
3. those who CLAIM to be GOD, or want to be GOD. Who was the first one to claim that? Yeah, the devil himself, in the beginning.

John 1:1–4 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

seems like the subject changed from Word to Bible here? Regardless, might be useful to Quote the “promise”

ah so you currently believe that Bible is Word, ok…but we are warned about scribes i guess eh? I mean an english Bible might be a decent enough start, but i wouldnt rely on it for any serious meditation, simply for the fact that we have better resources, to get a more complete understanding of the author’s intent?

Psalm 138:2 says that God exalts HIS WORD above His Name.

John 14:6 .....Jesus says that He is THE Truth.

John 17:17 says that the word of God sanctifies you, and is itself the Truth.

Such silliness to try and make a non-existing difference between The Word not written down, vs. The Word that is written down.

Who can claim The Word of God WITHOUT the need of it being written down?? Only God can.

So who are these people who think they know The Word of God WITHOUT the need of written Bible Scripture?

It's easy for anyone who studied their Bible (The Word of God) that those are simply men pushing hot air who's words are not worth the air they produce.

John 1 refers to Jesus when it says "Word" (Greek "Logos"). It does not refer to scripture.

Well, yes that DOES refer to God's written Word.

I suggest you go over relative Scripture about that of how God's Word given through His servants cannot be compared to man's literature.

In essence, when one tries to separate The Word of God given through His servants from the written Word, which Peter said in 2 Peter 1 that it comes directly from God by The Holy Spirit, then they are trying to compare the written Word to man's secular literature, which is impossible.

2 Peter 1:15-21
15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

17 For He received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to Him from the excellent glory, "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased."

18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with Him in the holy mount.

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

You have a few ideas that seem to not make many sense in your OP Davy.

What are you really trying to say here?

Is the subject about idolizing infallible pure scripture over its author, or that you believe scripture has been handed without error and some do not believe as you do? Or is there something else?

well Davy, you might be right, but what if you are not?
Who can claim The Word of God WITHOUT the need of it being written down
well, i didnt mean to say anyone could claim it, D

So who are these people who think they know The Word of God WITHOUT the need of written Bible Scripture?
um well i also dint mean to claim anyone could necessarily know it, either; i was asking about scribes?

It's easy for anyone who studied their Bible (The Word of God) that those are simply men pushing hot air who's words are not worth the air they produce
so then it should be easy for anyone who studied their Bible to Quote “Bible = Word” in at least a couple places, right? For a witness, i mean. Im all ears, ok? Bc i can find the opposite of that, but i cannot find that, not one single time, not anywhere

i think the biggest prob with thinking you know…well, anything, is that it blinds you to any new information on a matter? In this case it is imo quite important, being as how the Word was God, the Word became flesh, etc, and we surely have only the poorest grasp of those concepts too, so i would maybe at least approach the subject with humility, and also beware anyone confidently, errantly identifying Word for you, esp since you can now just plug Word into any Bible engine and see for yourself? i mean, believe whatever you like, certainly, but i tell you that if you think Bible is Word then you are just cheating yourself, imo. yall have a good day

just to be clear i wouldnt accuse you of that, but rather maybe of worshipping your Bible, which fwiw im not so sure that is such a terrible idea either lol

It’s like someone accusing you of idolizing the cake mix box because you read the ingredient instructions and follow the steps…

Or idolizing traffic signs because you look to them for help…

It’s an absurd accusation.

The word of God comes from God only. The real question is whether the books selected in the bible are from God. Keep in mind that the Romans selected which books are included. Many books have been found in the dead sea scrolls. And if they are translated correctly.

The word of God comes from his spoken word, whether from body or spirit.

It's also possible that the Romans excluded books from the bible which interfered with their governing power.

examine the life of all who say that stuff and it wont take long to see why they want to accuse folks who love the bible as being idolaters .
cause something in said bible exposes the way they are living . Anyone who does not love the truth i would be seriously worried about .
Cause GOD HIMSELF puts THE LOVE FOR TRUTH , FOR HIM , FOR CHRIST above all upon our hearts .
Any man who seriously goes after those who love that bible , I WOULD be ware of such men . Cause something aint right my friend .
WE Staying glued to GOD , to CHRIST and to that bible by which we grow wise unto salvation through our faith in Christ .
THEM early apostels KNEW the DIRE importance of staying well planted in that doctrine . No lamb is gonna heed these men
who try and say otherwise .

GOD was and is in control . Even with the jews he had scribes faithfully recopying torah .
The canon is pure and beautiful as is . GOD is in control . Just be sure and test the spirits , for many decievers do abound .
Stay well planted in that bible and be in prayer and one shall grow wise unto salvation through our faith in Christ .
As paul once well wrote and wrote well he did , The scriptures which make one wise unto salvation through faith in Christ .
Stay planted in it . And let us be hearers and doers of the word . Loving all things JESUS taught and all that was left to us
in the letters from the apostels . Just loving the truth within those pages . THE LORD is with the lambs . Have all hope and all trust IN HIM .
