Dear heavenly Father God, I pray that you will help AlwaysOnAJourney to fit in with people around her and to have good online friends. Help her to know if there is/are any area/s she should be aware of that she's wrong and the areas where she can joyfully say and know and realize that things are not her fault, in Jesus' name, amen.

I'm looking for a place that I can fit in with. I don't have many friends in real life or online. I guess I'm just a little different, or something. For that reason I often blog about things. Many times it's just things that I need to get off my chest.

The reason why I'm asking for prayer is because I recently decided that I needed to leave a Christian forum, because the place was hurting me. Mind you, I am not new to Christian Social Media, but I've never been treated this before.

In the book of Job, Job was being inflected, and his friends set around him, giving him wrong advice. By the end of the book of Job, God makes those friends repent, and Job had to pray for them.

I don't want you to get the wrong impression that I'm comparing myself to Job. But what I am trying to say is, the way those people were treating my blogs, was a lot like how Job's friends treated him!

If I blogged about a problem I was having, no matter what the problem was, there was always someone or someones that would tell me, that my problems is my fault. And it seemed like that was the consensus of the entire forum. I guess they felt that Christians should always be positive or something. I tried to have a thick skin but it happened for so many months that I couldn't stand it anymore.

I ask that you will pray that God will help me with these problems, and help me to fit in around here. I hope you can believe me, but I'm not joining here to cause trouble.

I have somethings that I would like you to pray about. And if possible, I would like to make some online friends.
Welcome.

The anonymity the Internet provides bad people is one good reason to not seek personal advice from strangers.
Some are well meaning. However, those who made hateful or callous remarks toward your plight do so because your vulnerability informed them where to strike in order to make you feel worse.

It isn't personal in the sense they know you, they only know what you share of yourself.

It is personal in the sense those insensitive people are incapable of compassion for your vulnerability.

Don't strive to fit in. Be yourself and stand out.
May God be with you.

I think those people are called "trolls". I never understood the so called "Christian Troll".

Christian doesn’t mean always walks upright.
Some people have their own high ego and low ego issues, and odd personalities make them feel better to down trod others.

Just remember If you are IN Christ, you are worthy to be called Gods inheritance. How magnificent is that! Sort of makes what others say insignificant, eh?

Glory to God,

One person on that site, that I had trouble with, was someone who believed that a Christian didn't sin.

Well...I wouldn’t say that about a Christian, but do say the Converted IN Christ CAN NOT sin. Doesn’t require an argument, but rather positional view understanding.
That is my view. I know why, according to Scripture, and plenty here disagree with me. No problem. Disagreeing is expected, even among friends...and the snarky <—- oops. ;)

Taken, I am writing this to you, and to other people. Please don't take everything I wrote personal.

I rewrote this line several times, and walked away and re thought the line. Now I'm rewriting it again.

I don't know where to start with this....

I was raised in a Church where some people believed in what they call "the second work of grace". In there view once the "second work" happened then they could no longer sin. That sounds similar to me as your view, "Converted In Christ Can Not Sin" thing...

I am aware of some of the proof texts for the idea that Christians can no longer sin. However in the context of the entire Bible as a whole, I think they are taken out of context by those who want to believe this way. As a result, those that argue in the opposite direction also has there proof texts/ examples too. This results in an argument, and probably 98% of the time, nobody changes their minds. I believe the reason why this happens is because those arguing aren't reading the Bible correctly, and plus they just enjoy arguing.

I say all of this, simply because I want everyone who is reading this to know my point of view.

Without going into a lot of detail, I think the idea that a true believer does not sin is wrong, but not ONLY WRONG but is a DANGEROUS point of view.

When you interact with me, I want you to know that this is my stance.

When someone wants to influence me, they can't do it through argument. As least not very often. You do it by giving me what I need. It's little bit like how Jesus interacted with the crowds. He first gave them something to eat, and then He taught them. In my case, I need love, friendship, stuff like that... I am not someone who argues well.

Our differences, as well as my view and others, in a nut shell stems from the very BASIC difference of the Meaning of Sin.

So, the initial question there would be;
Do you believe God has the Authority to Forgive Sin?
Do you believe Scripture revealed Jesus has the Authority to Forgive Sin?
Do you believe Scripture Authorized Men to Forgive Sin?

Do you believe God has the Authority to Forgive Sin? Yes
Do you believe Scripture revealed Jesus has the Authority to Forgive Sin? Yes

Do you believe Scripture Authorized Men to Forgive Sin? It depends on what your talking about. Are you talking about people forgiving people, or God forgiving us for the purpose of salvation?

Men Forgiving Sin? I will answer. No.
Reasoning of my Answer. Sin IS Against God.

If I Believe God, Have I sinned Against God? No.
IF I DO NOT Believe God, Have I sinned Against God? Yes.
IF I lie to God, Have I sinned Against God? Yes.
IF I cheat on God with other gods, Have I sinned Against God? Yes
IF I steal from God, take His TRUTH and Twist His Truth into a Lie, Have I sinned Against God? Yes

If I Believe You, Have I sinned Against You? No.
If I DO NOT Believe You, Have I sinned Against You? No.
If I slap you, Have I sinned Against You? No.
If I lie to you, Have I sinned Against You? No
If I cheat you, Have I sinned Against You? No
If I steal from you, Have I sinned Against You? No
IF I ram my car into your car, Have I sinned Against You? No
IF I borrow from you, and don’t return what I borrowed, Have I sinned Against You? No

WHAT Have I done TO YOU? Trespassed
Does Scripture Authorize and Teach for men to forgive men of Trespasses AGAINST THEM? Yes.

Do you know MEN wanted to KILL Jesus EXPRESSLY For FORGIVING MEN OF SIN?
And WHY? Because ONLY God can Forgive SIN, and they ONLY SAW Jesus as a man.
* ALL men ONLY Saw Jesus “as a man”....However SOME “KNEW” He was MORE than what their human EYES could SEE...They BELIEVED Jesus was God IN THE FLESH “LIKENESS AS A MAN”.

* In this day, We can KNOW Jesus appeared “AS A MAN”, from Testimony of men, we choose to trust and believe (or not).
* However, NO ONE has SEEN God “as He IS”....that IS A PROMISE given to men, who BECOME converted, saved....that they SHALL “one day SEE God as He IS’...

I believe SIN is “solely” Against God.
I believe SIN is “solely” Forgiven BY the Lord God.

I believe men ROUTINELY “Trespass” Against men, intentionally and unintentionally...And MEN have the power to forgive men of Trespasses.

So when men claim....you sinned against me...
OR...when men demand you ask them FOR forgiveness of a supposed sin you committed against them...
Sorry but I find that totally off kilter, NOT Scriptural. Not applicable to me.

My view,

TO: Taken, I had to read it several times before I thought I understood what you were trying to get at... In my opinion what you wrote doesn't make me any difference.

I get criticized for saying things like this about myself, and I don't like it because the people who were doing the criticism, don't know me in real life. [/QUOTE]

Everyone has different interests, learns differently, processes differently. My own profoundly deaf daughter was teased, criticized, and thought every hearing person knew, thought, understood everything they heard. On the other end of the spectrum, my dad was an endless student, read a book a day, tinkered with electronics, was a math whiz and had a photographic memory, and couldn’t understand how that same did not apply to everyone else.
So agree, People are different, and challenges arise when strangers, engage on social networks.

I just try to live my life as close to what I understand from the scriptures.

Upfront, to the point and think that satisfactorily covers the Big Picture, according to God.

Glory to God,
Taken
