Doesn't say anything to support your doctrine that a part of Jesus escaped death upon crucifixion. To say only his flesh died, implies some part of him did not die. This is an extra-Biblical assertion.
He was dead and buried. As dead as you can be. But he preached to the spirits that were imprisoned
1Pe 3:18-20

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited[

May I know the difference between the spirit of God and the spirit of Christ?

Surely, but in the Spirit

9 But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Emmanuel

Some make the case for annihilationism. This is a good book on the subject-https://www.amazon.com/Four-Views-Hell-Counterpoints-Theology/dp/0310516463.

It is a good book. I’m an annihilationist. As you seem to be aware, it’s not a trinitarian vs. non-trinitarian issue.

The God of love and mercy showing no love, no mercy, to his is enemies is out of character. Such a being isn’t the one God.

Destroying the incorrigibly wicked, extinguishing their lamp, putting them out of existence, is an act of love and mercy.

Some years ago I heard a sermon given by a preacher who believes in conditional immortality. I think the preacher was Edward Fudge, but it was so long ago that I don’t remember with certainty. The preacher said it all goes back to the Garden of Eden and the serpent saying “You will not die.” This is where he located the origin of the immortal soul belief.

There are many good books on conditional immortality. The best historical survey I’ve ever read is a two-volume work titled The Conditionalist Faith of Our Fathers, written by LeRoy Edwin Froom (a trinitarian, if you are wondering.) It’s massive. I wish I had it in my own personal library but I don’t. It can be read online at no cost. I’ll look for the links and post them here for you or anyone else who is interested in reading it.

I take a form of Pascal's wager on eternal conscious torment. I try to live as though there is such a thing and if it turns out there is not I have lost nothing.

In my opinion, that makes God more evil than the devil.

I don’t believe he did so while he was “dead and buried. As dead as you can be.”

I believe he did so after he was made alive - resurrected from the dead - by the Spirit.

He sacrificed his own son so no one would ever have to go there.

On another forum a (quasi trinitarian*) member insisted that God was on a suicide mission. How does that set with you?

* The member, who self-identified as trinitarian, believed that the Father and the Son are both God but said no one knows if the Holy Spirit is or not. His position was that any trinitarian who tells you who or what the Holy Spirit is doesn’t know what they’re talking about and cannnot be trusted.

What was the purpose of the dead being raised after the crucifixion and appearing to many?
Mat 27:50

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
Mat 27:51

Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,
Mat 27:52

and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
Mat 27:53

and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

umm...no. You are thinking of the Romans, or maybe the Jews, but God didn't kill His own son.
John 3:16
Jhn 3:16

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Jhn 10:17

“Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.
Jhn 10:18

“No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”

Rom 13:1

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

God sent His son. That's much different than saying God sacrificed His son, as if it was His doing. Men did that.

At the very least, it marked the event of the crucifixion as something out of the ordinary. This wasn’t just another criminal being put to death. It was a witness.

When people think of resurrection, all too often they think only of Jesus. Everyone will be resurrected. Some to the life of the age to come; others to judgement and destruction in the lake of fire.

Putting aside the debate, do you truly comprehend these words as parially alive rather than was dead THEN made alive?
